Chaotic Aquila Optimization Algorithm for Solving Phase Equilibrium Problems and Parameter Estimation of Semi-empirical Models

This research study aims to enhance the optimization performance of a newly emerged Aquila Optimization algorithm by incorporating chaotic sequences rather than using uniformly generated Gaussian random *** work employs 25 different chaotic maps under the framework of Aquila *** considers the ten best chaotic variants for performance evaluation on multidimensional test functions composed of unimodal and multimodal problems,which have yet to be studied in past literature *** was found that Ikeda chaotic map enhanced Aquila Optimization algorithm yields the best predictions and becomes the leading method in most of the *** test the effectivity of this chaotic variant on real-world optimization problems,it is employed on two constrained engineering design problems,and its effectiveness has been ***,phase equilibrium and semi-empirical parameter estimation problems have been solved by the proposed method,and respective solutions have been compared with those obtained from state-of-art *** is observed that CH01 can successfully cope with the restrictive nonlinearities and nonconvexities of parameter estimation and phase equilibrium problems,showing the capabilities of yielding minimum prediction error values of no more than 0.05 compared to the remaining algorithms utilized in the performance benchmarking process.

An Ordinal Multi-Dimensional Classification(OMDC)for Predictive Maintenance

Predictive Maintenance is a type of condition-based maintenance that assesses the equipment's states and estimates its failure probability and when maintenance should be *** machine learning techniques have been frequently implemented in this area,the existing studies disregard to the nat-ural order between the target attribute values of the historical sensor ***,these methods cause losing the inherent order of the data that positively affects the prediction *** deal with this problem,a novel approach,named Ordinal Multi-dimensional Classiﬁcation(OMDC),is proposed for estimating the conditions of a hydraulic system's four components by taking into the natural order of class *** demonstrate the prediction ability of the proposed approach,eleven different multi-dimensional classiﬁcation algorithms(traditional Binary Relevance(BR),Classiﬁer Chain(CC),Bayesian Classiﬁer Chain(BCC),Monte Carlo Classiﬁer Chain(MCC),Probabilistic Classiﬁer Chain(PCC),Clas-siﬁer Dependency Network(CDN),Classiﬁer Trellis(CT),Classiﬁer Dependency Trellis(CDT),Label Powerset(LP),Pruned Sets(PS),and Random k-Labelsets(RAKEL))were implemented using the Ordinal Class Classiﬁer(OCC)***,seven different classiﬁcation algorithms(Multilayer Perceptron(MLP),Support Vector Machine(SVM),k-Nearest Neighbour(kNN),Decision Tree(C4.5),Bagging,Random Forest(RF),and Adaptive Boosting(AdaBoost))were chosen as base learners for the OCC *** experimental results present that the proposed OMDC approach using binary relevance multi-dimensional classiﬁcation methods predicts the conditions of a hydraulic system's multiple components with high ***,it is clearly seen from the results that the OMDC models that utilize ensemble-based classiﬁcation algorithms give more reliable prediction performances with an average Hamming score of 0.853 than the others that use traditional algorithms as base learners.

通过比较中国四川黄龙、中国云南白水台、土耳其帕穆克卡莱棉花堡三地钙华景观的基本环境地质特征、钙华景观水化学、钙华沉积生物因素的差异性,探讨了土耳其棉花堡钙华退化缓慢的影响因素。对比发现,棉花堡景区藻类约为38种,种类单一,植被覆盖率较低,沉积主要受物理化学因素控制,沉积速率较快,多形成较好的层状结构,杂质少,且原生孔隙度较低,结构致密,结晶度较高,不易坍塌损坏;黄龙和白水台景区藻类分别为86种、196种,种类多样,且植被覆盖率皆高达80%以上,沉积主控于化学和生物因素,沉积速率较慢,结构呈多孔疏松状或多孔珊瑚状,原生孔隙度普遍较高,易退化。此外,棉花堡钙华景区泉水各离子含量均高于黄龙和白水台景区,尤其是Ca2+和HCO3,这能有效促进CaCO3的沉积。

This paper investigates the effects of tool holder materials on chatter vibration in turning *** study uses a complex dynamic turning model with two degrees of freedom for the orthogonal cutting *** holders made from different materials,including Al 5083,Al 6082,Al 7012,and a standard 4140 material,were subjected to chatter vibration to investigate their process damping *** study found that the standard tool holder 4140 allows for higher stable depths of cut and produces similar process damping values compared to the other tool *** element analyses(FEA)were performed to verify the experimental results,and the modal and FEA analyses produced very similar *** study concludes that future research should investigate the effects of tool holders made from high alloy steel alloys on process ***,this paper provides important insights into the effects of tool hold-er materials on chatter vibration and process damping in turning operations,which can help in the design of more effi-cient and effective cutting systems.

The drilling process in orthopedic surgery can sometimes lead to an undesired increase in temperature,which can cause serious damage to bones and soft *** overheating is typically identified as a temperature above 47℃,known as the critical limit,and can result in the condition known as *** study aims to develop a new control system,using a proportional-integral-derivative(PID)controller,to prevent overheating and the resulting *** bone temperature is constantly measured using a thermocouple and,when it reaches the critical temperature of 47℃,the cooling device is activated by the PID-controlled *** new control system makes the drill machine with cooling device more user-friendly and allows surgeons to set a desired temperature level manually.
