We show a quantitative technique characterized by low numerical mediation for the reconstruction of temporal sequences of geophysical data of length L interrupted for a time ΔT where . The aim is to protect the information acquired before and after the interruption by means of a numerical protocol with the lowest possible calculation weight. The signal reconstruction process is based on the synthesis of the low frequency signal extracted for subsampling (subsampling ∇Dirac = ΔT in phase with ΔT) with the high frequency signal recorded before the crash. The SYRec (SYnthetic ReConstruction) method for simplicity and speed of calculation and for spectral response stability is particularly effective in the studies of high speed transient phenomena that develop in very perturbed fields. This operative condition is found a mental when almost immediate informational responses are required to the observation system. In this example we are dealing with geomagnetic data coming from an uw counter intrusion magnetic system. The system produces (on time) information about the transit of local magnetic singularities (magnetic perturbations with low spatial extension), originated by quasi-point form and kinematic sources (divers), in harbors magnetic underwater fields. The performances of stability of the SYRec system make it usable also in long and medium period of observation (activity of geomagnetic observatories).

We estimate Love wave empirical Green＇s functions from cross-correlations of ambient seismic noise to study the crust and uppermost mantle structure in Italy. Transverse-component ambient noise data from October 2005 through March 2007 recorded at 114 seismic stations from the istituto nazionale di geofisica e vulcanologia （INGV） national broadband network, the Mediterranean Very Broadband Seismographic Network （MedNet） and the Austrian Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics （ZAMG） yield more than 2 000 Love wave group velocity measurements using the multiple-filter analysis technique. In the short period band （5-20 s）, the cross-correlations show clearly one-sided asymmetric feature due to non-tmiform noise distribution and high local activities, and in the long period band （〉20 s） this feature becomes weak owing to more diffusive noise distribution. Based on these measurements, Love wave group velocity dispersion maps in the 8-34 s period band are constructed, then the SH wave velocity structures from the Love wave dispersions are inverted. The final results obtained from Love wave data are overall in good agreement with those from Rayleigh waves. Both Love and Rayleigh wave inversions all reveal that the Po plain basin is resolved with low velocity at shallow depth, and the Tyrrhenian sea is characterized with higher velocity below 8 km due to its thin oceanic crust.

Changbaishan,an intraplate volcano,is characterized by an approximately 6 km wide summit caldera and last erupted in *** experienced a period of unrest between 2002 and *** activity developed in three main stages,including shield volcano(basalts),cone-construction(trachyandesites to trachytes with minor basalts),and caldera-forming stages(trachytes to comendites).This last stage is associated with one of the more energetic eruptions of the last millennium on earth,the 946 Ce,VeI 7 Millennium eruption(Me),which emitted over 100 km^(3) of *** to other active calderas,the plumbing system of Changbaishan and its evolution mechanisms remain poorly ***,we merge new whole-rock,glass,mineral,isotopic,and geobarometry data with geophysical data and present a model of the plumbing *** results show that the volcano is characterized by at least three main magma reservoirs at different depths:a basaltic reservoir at the Moho/lower crust depth,an intermediate reservoir at 10-15 km depth,and a shallower reservoir at 0.5-3 km *** shallower reservoir was involved in the Me eruption,which was triggered by a fresh trachytic melt entering a shallower reservoir where a comenditic magma was *** trachytes and comendites originate from fractional crystallization processes and minor assimilation of upper crust material,while the less evolved melts assimilate lower crust ***-eruptive magma mingling occurred during the Me eruption *** magma reservoirs of the caldera-forming stage partly reactivate those of the cone-construction *** depth of the magma storage zones is controlled by the layering of the *** plumbing system of Changbaishan is vertically extensive,with crystal mush reservoirs renewed by the replenishment of new trachytic to trachyandesitic magma from *** other volcanoes,evidence of a basaltic recharge is *** interpretation of the signals preceding possible future erupt

Pterosaur bones are for the first time reported from the Tremp Syncline （Spain） and the southern Pyrenees. They come from the Torrebilles-2 site （Isona, Lleida Province） in the upper Maastrichtian part of the Tremp Formation, which falls within the C29r magnetochron. Fragmentary long bones are referred to the Pterosauria based on their cortical thinness, micro-architecture, and histological features. They belong to very large to possibly giant individuals. The most complete specimen is possibly a partial right femur. The review of the Maastrichtian pterosaur record shows that only a few specimens can be referred to the C29r （which contains the K/Pg boundary）. The identification of fragmentary remains could improve our knowledge about the abundance and distribution of these flying sauropsids just before the end-Cretaceous mass extinction.
