Adavosertib(ADA)is a WEE1 inhibitor that exhibits a synthetic lethal effect on p53-mutated gallbladder cancer(GBC).However,drug resistance due to DNA damage response compensation pathways and high toxicity limits further ***,estrone-targeted ADA-encapsulated metal–organic frameworks(ADA@MOF-EPL)for GBC synthetic lethal treatment by inducing conditional factors are *** high expression of estrogen receptors in GBC enables ADA@MOF-EPL to quickly enter and accumulate near the cell nucleus through estrone-mediated endocytosis and release ADA to inhibit WEE1 upon entering the acidic tumor *** irradiation induces ADA@MOF-EPL to generate reactive oxygen species(ROS),which leads to a further increase in DNA damage,resulting in a higher sensitivity of p53-mutated cancer cells to WEE1 inhibitor and promoting cell death via conditional synthetic *** conditional factor induced by ADA@MOF-EPL further enhances the antitumor efficacy while significantly reducing systemic ***,ADA@MOF-EPL demonstrates similar antitumor abilities in other p53-mutated solid tumors,revealing its potential as a broad-spectrum antitumor drug.

Chemical cleaning and disinfection are crucial steps for eliminating infection in root canal treatment. However, irrigant selection or irrigation procedures are far from clear. The vapor lock effect in the apical region has yet to be solved, impeding irrigation efficacy and resulting in residual infections and compromised treatment outcomes.

Microstructural evolution and phase transformation induced by different heat treatments of the hypereutectic aluminium-silicon alloy, Al-25Si-5Fe-3Cu （wt%, signed as 3C）, fabricated by traditional cast （TC） and spray forming （SF） processes, were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry （DSC） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM） combined with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques. The results show that A17Cu2Fe phase can be formed and transformed in TC- and SF-3C alloys between 802-813 K and 800-815 K, respectively. The transformation from β-Al5FeSi to δ-Al4FeSi2 phase via peritectic reaction can occur at around 858-870 K and 876-890 K in TC- and SF-3C alloys, respectively. The starting precipitation temperature of δ-Al4FeSi2 phase as the dominant Fe-bearing phase in the TC-3C alloy is 997 K and the exothermic peak about the peritectic transformation of δ-Al4FeSi2→β-Al5FeSi is not detected in the present DSC experiments. Also, the mechanisms of the microstructural evolution and phase transformation are discussed.

Synthesis and characterization of nanocrystalline Ni produced by cryomilling in liquid nitrogen

NanocrystaUine Ni powders were successfully fabricated by mechanically milling at cryogenic temperature （cryomilling） with 1 wt.%Y2O3 particles. The experimental results have shown that the Ni grain size is reduced to 25 nm after 2 h of cryomilling in the presence of the Y2O3 particles. The cryomiUed Ni/Y2O3 powders can maintain their nanocrystalline structure up to 900℃, or 62% of the melting point of Ni. A bulk nanocrystalline Ni/Y2O3 material with a thermally stable grain size of approximately 100 nm was produced by cryomilling, cold isostatic pressing, followed by hot isostatic pressing. The microhardness of bulk nanocrystalline Ni/1wt.%Y2O3 is 315 DPH, which is two times as high as that of conventional Ni.

Land surface temperature(LST)is one of the most important factors in the land-atmosphere interaction *** measured LSTs may contain biases due to instrument replacement,changes in recording procedures,and other non-climatic *** study attempts to reduce the above biases in raw daily measurements and achieves a homogenized daily LST dataset over China using 2360 stations from 1960 through *** high-quality land surface air temperature(LSAT)dataset is used to correct the LST warming biases especially evident during cold months in regions north of 40ºN due to the replacement of observation instruments around ***,the Multiple Analysis of Series for Homogenization(MASH)method is adopted to detect and then adjust the daily observed LST *** total,3.68×10^(3) effective breakpoints in 1.65×106 monthly records(about 20%)are detected.A large number of these effective breakpoints are located over large parts of the Sichuan Basin and southern *** the MASH procedure,LSTs at more than 80%of the breakpoints are adjusted within+/-0.5℃,and of the remaining breakpoints,only 10%are adjusted over 1.5℃.Compared to the raw LST dataset over the whole domain,the homogenization significantly reduces the mean LST magnitude and its interannual variability as well as its linear trend at most ***,we perform preliminary analysis upon the homogenized LST and find that the annual mean LST averaged across China shows a significant warming trend[0.22℃(10 yr)^(-1)].The homogenized LST dataset can be further adapted for a variety of applications(e.g.,model evaluation and extreme event characterization).

We demonstrate a stable narrow linewidth single-frequency erbium-doped fiber laser(EDFL)operating at 1.6μm.A Fabry–Perot fiber Bragg grating and two cascaded subrings are incorporated in the main ring cavity to achieve singlefrequency *** experimentally measured optical signal-to-noise ratio is greater than 73 ***,the linewidth of the EDFL is measured to be about 480 Hz by the self-built short-delayed self-heterodyne interferometry *** laser shows superior stability,with no mode-hopping during the 60-min observation *** proposed EDFL provides a new experimental idea for realizing a single-frequency fiber laser in the L-band.

Paleoclimate modelling is one of the core topics in the Past Global Changes project under the international Geosphere-Biosphere Programme and has received much attention worldwide in recent decades. Here we summarize the research on the Paleoclimate modeling, including the Holocene, Last Glacial Maximum, and pre-Quaternary climate intervals or events performed at the institute of Atmospheric Physics under the Chinese Academy of sciences （IAP/CAS） for over one decade. As an attempt to review these academic activities, we emphasize that vegetation and ocean feedbacks can amplify East Asian climate response to the Earth＇s orbital parameters and atmospheric CO2 concentration at the mid-Holocene. At the Last Glacial Maximum, additional cooling in interior China is caused by the feedback effects of East Asian vegetation and the ice sheet over the Tibetan Plateau, and the regional climate model RegCM2 generally reduces data-model discrepancies in East Asia. The simulated mid-Pliocene climate is characterized by warmer and drier conditions as well as significantly weakened summer and winter monsoon systems in interior China. On a tectonic timescale, both the Tibetan Plateau uplift and the Paratethys Sea retreat play important roles in the formation of East Asian monsoon-dominant environmental pattern during the Cenozoic.
