Construction of 3D porous Cu_(1.81)S/nitrogen-doped carbon frameworks for ultrafast and long-cycle life sodium-ion storage

Transition metal sulfides have great potential as anode mterials for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)due to their high theoretical specific ***,the inferior intrinsic conductivity and large volume variation during sodiation-desodiation processes seriously affect its high-rate and long-cyde performance,unbeneficial for the application as fast-charging and long-cycling SIBs ***,the three-dimensional porous Cu_(1.81)S/nitrogen-doped carbon frameworks(Cu_(1.81)S/NC)are synthesized by the simple and facile sol-gel and annealing processes,which can accommodate the volumetric expansion of Cu_(1.81)S nanoparticles and accelerate the transmission of ions and electrons during Na^(+)insertion/extraction processes,exhibiting the excellent rate capability(250.6 mA·g^(-1)at 20.0 A·g^(-1))and outstanding cycling stability(70% capacity retention for 6000 cycles at 10.0 A·g^(-1))for ***,the Na-ion full cells coupled with Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C cathode also demonstrate the satisfactory reversible specific capacity of 330.5 mAh·g^(-1)at 5.0 A·g^(-1)and long-cycle performance with the 86.9% capacity retention at 2.0 A·g^(-1)after 750 *** work proposes a promising way for the conversionbased metal sulfides for the applications as fast-charging sodium-ion battery anode.

Diversity of desert rangelands of Tunisia

Plants are important components of any ***,the importance of desert rangeland plant diversity has often been *** has been argued that desert rangelands of Tunisia in good ecological condition provide more services than those in poor ecological *** is because rangelands in good condition support a more diverse mixture of vegetation with many benefits,such as forage for livestock and medicinal *** one-quarter of Tunisia,covering about 5.5 million hectares,are rangelands,of which 87% are located in the arid and desert areas(45% and 42%,respectively).Here,we provide a brief review of the floristic richness of desert rangelands of *** 135 species are specific to desert *** predominant families are Asteraceae,Poaceae,Brassicaceae,Chenopodiaceae,and *** represent approximately 50% of Tunisian desert flora.

Chamber Structure for Some Equivariant Relative Gromov–Witten Invariants of P^1 in Genus 0

In this paper, we study genus 0 equivariant relative Gromov Witten invariants of P1 whose corresponding relative stable maps are totally ramified over one point. For fixed number of marked points, we show that such invariants are piecewise polynomials in some parameter space. The parameter space can then be divided into polynomial domains, called chambers. We determine the difference of polynomials between two neighbouring chambers. In some special chamber, which we called the totally negative chamber, we show that such a polynomial can be expressed in a simple way. The chamber structure here shares some similarities to that of double Hurwitz numbers.

晚春西北地区干旱的发生对西北地区气候和农业生产等具有重要的影响,但在近几十年,西北干旱状况呈现出缓解的趋势.本文研究了前期北极海冰异常对5月中国西北地区(降水短缺引起的)干旱异常的影响.进一步研究表明,二至四月格陵兰海海冰偏多时,西北地区干旱有所缓解.偏多的格陵兰海海冰可激发出经向环流异常,环流异常通过海–气相互作用在北大西洋产生海温异常,主要表现为格陵兰岛以南和北大西洋副热带海温偏高,亚速尔群岛以西海温偏低.这种海温异常可持续到5月,并引发从北大西洋经斯堪的纳维亚半岛和中亚至中国西北地区的纬向波列,并在西北地区产生气旋环流异常,从而导致该地区水汽辐合,干旱状况有所缓解.

Improved Linear Attacks on the Chinese Block Cipher Standard

The block cipher used in the Chinese Wireless LAN Standard （WAPI）, SMS4, was recently renamed as SM4, and became the block cipher standard issued by the Chinese government. This paper gives a method for finding the linear approximations of SMS4. With this method, 19-round one-dimensional approximations are given, which are used to improve the previous linear cryptanalysis of SMS4. The 19-round approximations hold with bias 2-62.27; we use one of them to leverage a linear attack on 23-round SMS4. Our attack improves the previous 23-round attacks by reducing the time complexity. Furthermore, the data complexity of our attack is further improved by the multidimensional linear approach.

Impact of Topography and Land-Sea Distribution on East Asian Paleoenvironmental Patterns

Much geological research has illustrated the transition of paleoenvironmental patterns during the Cenozoic from a planetary-wind-dominant type to a monsoon-dominant type, indicating the initiation of the East Asian monsoon and inland-type aridity. However, there is a dispute about the causes and mechanisms of the transition, especially about the impact of the Himalayan/Tibetan Plateau uplift and the Paratethys Sea retreat, Thirty numerical sensitivity experiments under different land-sea distributions and Himalayan/Tibetan Plateau topography conditions are performed here to simulate the evolution of climate belts with emphasis on changes in the rain band, and these are compared with the changes in the paleoenvironmental patterns during the Cenozoic recovered by geological records. The consistency between simulations and the geological evidence indicates that both the Tibetan Plateau uplift and the Paratethys Sea retreat play important roles in the formation of the monsoon-dominant environmental pattern. Furthermore, the simulations show the monsoon-dominant environmental pattern comes into being when the Himalayan/Tibetan Plateau reaches 1000-2000 m high and the Paratethys Sea retreats to the Turan Plate.

Field evaluation of durum wheat landraces for prevailing abiotic and biotic stresses in highland rainfed regions of Iran

Biotic and abiotic stresses are major limiting factors for high crop productivity worldwide. A landrace collection consisting of 380 durum wheat(Triticum turgidum L. var. durum) entries originating in several countries along with four check varieties were evaluated for biotic stresses:yellow rust(Puccinia striiformis Westendorf f. sp. tritici) and wheat stem sawfly(WSS) Cephus cinctus Norton(Hymenoptera: Cephidae), and abiotic stresses: cold and drought. The main objectives were to(i) quantify phenotypic diversity and identify variation in the durum wheat landraces for the different stresses and(ii) characterize the agronomic profiles of landraces in reaction to the stresses. Significant changes in reactions of landraces to stresses were *** resistant to each stress were identified and agronomically *** reduction due to the stresses varied from 11.4%(yellow rust) to 21.6%(cold stress) for 1000-kernel weight(TKW) and from 19.9(yellow rust) to 91.9%(cold stress) for grain yield. Landraces from Asia and Europe showed enhanced genetic potential for both grain yield and cold tolerance under highland rainfed conditions of Iran. The findings showed that TKW and yield productivity could be used to assess the response of durum wheat landraces to different stresses. In conclusion, landraces showed high levels of resistance to both biotic and abiotic stresses, and selected landraces can serve in durum wheat breeding for adaptation to cold and drought-prone environments.

The Xiaolangdi Hydro-Project is one of the large projects on the main stem of the Middle Yellow River. It has been operated for more than 10 years, since its impoundment in October, 1999. The reservoir has trapped 2.833 × 10^9 m3 of sediment, and caused the total erosion of 1.891 × 10^9t in the Lower Yellow River from October, 1999 through October, 2010. Not only the serious atrophied situation of the Lower Yellow River （LYR） has been resuscitating, but also many new phenomena of sediment transport and behaviors of channel re-establishing are coming into being. They are illustrated and discussed in detail in this paper.
