Background：Studies on the association between spicy food intake and cancer risk have reported inconsistent *** quantitatively assessed this association by conducting a meta-analysis based on evidence from case-control ***：PubMed,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library were searched for eligible *** odds ratios （ORs） with their 95% confidence interval （CI） were calculated using a random-or fixed-effects *** methodological quality of the included articles was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa scale （NOS）.All data were analyzed using STATA 1 1.0 software （version 11.0;StataCorp.,College Station,TX,USA）.Subgroup analyses were also performed with stratification by region,sex,number of cases,cancer subtype,source of the control group,and NOS ***：A total 39 studies from 28 articles fulfilled the inclusion criteria for the meta-analysis （7884 patients with cancer and 10,142 controls）.Comparison of the highest versus lowest exposure category in each study revealed a significant OR of 1.76 （95% CI =1.35-2.29） in spite of significant heterogeneity （P 〈 0.00l）.In the subgroup analyses,this positive correlation was still found for gastric cancer,different regions,different numbers of cases,different sources of the control group,and high-quality articles （NOS score of≥ 7）.However,no statistically significant association was observed for women,esophageal cancer,gallbladder cancer,or low-quality articles （NOS score of〈7）.No evidence of publication bias was ***：Evidence from case-control studies suggested that a higher level of spicy food intake may be associated with an increased incidence of cancer despite significant *** studies are warranted to clarify our understanding of the association between high spicy food intake and the risk of cancer.

association between Comorbidities and Selected Sociodemographic Factors with Complications of Diabetes: Results from the National Diabetic Registry Malaysia

Background: This study aims to determine the hazard ratio of having any complication from diabetes mellitus, and the associations between comorbidities and risk of having any complications from diabetes mellitus among diabetic patients who have attended government primary care clinics. Methods: Secondary data were retrieved from the Malaysian National Diabetic Registry which included all patients who received care. The data from the study on the socio-demographic, diabetes complications, clinical and treatment characteristics were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Cox regression was performed to estimate the hazard ratio for comorbidities, tobacco use, duration of diabetes and socio-demography characteristics upon time to diabetic complications. Results: Adjusted for other covariates, increase number of comorbidities contributed the highest hazard ratio risk: 1 comorbid (aHR: 2.47, 95% CI: 2.39, 2.55), 2 comorbidities (aHR: 4.34, 95% CI: 4.22, 4.47), 3 comorbidities (aHR: 6.56, 95% CI: 6.31, 6.81) and 4 comorbidities (aHR: 9.13, 95% CI: 8.20, 10.17). Other factors: age > 40 years (8%) Malays (27%) and smokers (10%) have hazard risks to develop diabetic complications. Conclusions: Increase in number of comorbidities will increase the risk of getting diabetes complications. Other factors such as age, gender, race, smoking status and duration of diabetes are also noted to contribute to increase risk for diabetes complications.

＜正＞In the field survey conducted fromin 2001 to 2004, a total of 1429 aquatic freshwater turtles were captured in 72 sties in Taiwan. Among the turtle species captured, Ocadia sinensis is most abundant and frequently found island wide, but it has been declining dramatically due to turtle farming and illegal trade to the food markets in China. In December 2019, a new type viral pneumonia cases occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province;and then named "2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV)" by the World Health Organization(WHO) on 12 January 2020. For it is a never been experienced respiratory disease before and with infection ability widely and quickly, it attracted the world’s attention but without treatment and control manual. For the request from frontline clinicians and public health professionals of 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia management, an evidence-based guideline urgently needs to be developed. Therefore, we drafted this guideline according to the rapid advice guidelines methodology and general rules of WHO guideline development;we also added the first-hand management data of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. This guideline includes the guideline methodology, epidemiological characteristics, disease screening and population prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control(including traditional Chinese Medicine), nosocomial infection prevention and control, and disease nursing of the 2019-nCoV. Moreover, we also provide a whole process of a successful treatment case of the severe 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia and experience and lessons of hospital rescue for 2019-nCoV infections. This rapid advice guideline is suitable for the first frontline doctors and nurses, managers of hospitals and healthcare sections, community residents, public health persons, relevant researchers, and all person who are interested in the 2019-nCoV.

The identification of stable quantitative trait locus(QTL)for yield-related traits and tightly linked molecular markers is important for improving wheat grain *** the present study,six yield-related traits in a recombinant inbred line(RIL)population derived from the Zhongmai 578/Jimai 22 cross were phenotyped in five *** parents and 262 RILs were genotyped using the wheat 50K single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)array.A high-density genetic map was constructed with 1501 non-redundant bin markers,spanning 2384.95 ***-three QTLs for six yield-related traits were mapped on chromosomes 1D(2),2A(9),2B(6),2D,3A(2),3B(2),4A(5),4D,5B(8),5D(2),7A(7),7B(3)and 7D(5),which explained 2.7-25.5%of the phenotypic *** the 53 QTLs,23 were detected in at least three environments,including seven for thousand-kernel weight(TKW),four for kernel length(KL),four for kernel width(KW),three for average grain filling rate(GFR),one for kernel number per spike(KNS)and four for plant height(PH).The stable QTLs ***-2A.1,***-7D,***-7D,***-2B.1,***-4A,***-7A and ***-2A.1 are likely to be new *** QTL-rich regions on 2A,2B,4A,5B,7A and 7D,showed pleiotropic effects on various yield ***2-2B and WAPO-A1 are potential candidate genes for the pleiotropic regions on 2B and 7A,*** pleiotropic QTL on 7D for TKW,KL,KW and PH was verified in a natural *** results of this study enrich our knowledge of the genetic basis underlying yield-related traits and provide molecular markers for high-yield wheat breeding.

With the growing popularization of small crafts, the accidents that happen among such crafts are also drawing increasing attention, according to the marine accident data released by the Japan Coast Guard. In order to prevent possible navigation accidents, the authors considered that besides sharing information from land by the coast office broadly, man- agers on land can also watch out and give appropriate advice for operators in crafts one-to- one. This paper discusses the technical issues of developing virtual globe-based （Google Maps/Earth geographic information system （GIS）） 3D visualization stand-alone software for small craft navigation assistance in the aim to facilitate the safety and sufficiency of small crafts in the near sea. The system was developed using web services and object-oriented programming disciplines to support the integration of a virtual global framework, GPS, and real-time imaging data. The authors have also developed data processing programs that are glued together with C# language, JavaScript language, National Marine Electronics association （NMEA） instance data, and keyhole markup language （KML） data. Experiments for evaluating the framework have been made around the near coastal area. The perfor- mances and deficiencies are discussed in this paper. In order to evaluate the validity of the performance and the functionality of the system, authors conducted a questionnairesurvey among third year students of the Voyage Course at Kobe University. The evaluation of the system suggests valuable potential for the small craft navigation assistance system.
