In plants,heteromorphic self-incompatibility(HetSI)is a strategy for avoiding self-pollination and promoting outcrossing,and during this process,numerous protein-protein interaction events occur between the pistil and *** studies in Primula and Fagopyrum that focused on HetSI systems have provided interesting insights;however,the molecular mechanism underlying HetSI remains largely *** this study,we profiled the proteome of Plumbago auriculata stigmas before and after self-incompatible(SI)and self-compatible(SC)*** analyses were conducted by 4D-DIA(Four-dimensional data independent acquisition),a promising technology that increases the sensitivity and reduces the spectral complexity of proteomic analysis by adding a fourth dimension,ion *** results revealed 33387 peptides and 5311 proteins in all *** pathways in which the differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)identified in the P×P(Pin style self-pollinated with pin pollen)***(Pin style)and T×T(Thrum style self-pollinated with thrum pollen)***(Thrum style)comparisons were significantly enriched were biosynthesis of secondary metabolites and pentose and glucuronate *** the P×T(Pin style cross-pollinated with thrum pollen)*** and T×P(Thrum style cross-pollinated with pin pollen)*** comparison,the top three pathways were biosynthesis of secondary metabolites,pentose and glucuronate interconversions,and phenylpropanoid *** phenylpropanoid biosynthesis,cutin,suberine and wax biosynthesis,and flavonoid biosynthesis pathways were enriched in the P×T vs.P×P comparison,and starch and sucrose metabolism,glycerophospholipid metabolism,and alpha-linolenic acid metabolism were abundant in the T×T vs.T×P *** enriched pathways between PS and TS were the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites,phenylpropanoid biosynthesis,and pentose and glucuronate ***-incompatibility protein S1(SI S1),Mitogen-activated protein ki

Andrias davidianus(Chinese giant salamander,CGS)is the largest and oldest extant amphibian species in the world and is a source of prospective functional food in ***,the progress of functional peptides mining was slow due to lack of reference genome and protein sequence *** this study,we illustrated full-length transcriptome sequencing to interpret the proteome of CGS meat and obtain 10703 coding DNA *** functional annotation and amino acid composition analysis,we have discovered various genes related to signal transduction,and 16 genes related to *** have also found vast variety of functional peptides through protein coding sequence(CDS)analysis by comparing the data obtained with the functional peptide ***-Pro-Ile predicted by the CDS analysis was released from the CGS meat through enzymatic hydrolysis,suggesting that our approach is *** study suggested that transcriptomic analysis can be used as a reference to guide polypeptide mining in CGS meat,thereby providing a powerful mining strategy for the bioresources with unknown genomic and proteomic sequences.

The penetration depth of atomic radicals in tubes with catalytic surface properties

Catalysis of molecular radicals is often performed in interesting experimental *** possible configuration is tubular *** radicals are introduced into the tubes on one side,and stable molecules are exhausted on the other *** penetration depth of radicals depends on numerous parameters,so it is not always feasible to calculate *** article presents systematic measurements of the penetration depth of oxygen atoms along tubes made from nickel,cobalt,and *** source of O atoms was a surfatron-type microwave *** initial density of O atoms depended on the gas flow and was 0.7×10^(21)m^(-3),2.4×10^(21)m^(-3),and 4.2×10^(21)m^(-3)at the flow rates of 50,300,and 600 sccm,and pressures of 10,35,and 60 Pa,*** gas temperature remained at room temperature throughout the *** dissociation fraction decreased exponentially along the length of the tubes in all *** penetration depths for well-oxidized nickel were 1.2,1.7,and 2.4 cm,*** cobalt,they were slightly lower at 1.0,1.3,and 1.6 cm,respectively,while for copper,they were 1.1,1.3,and 1.7 cm,*** results were explained by gas dynamics and heterogeneous surface *** data are useful in any attempt to estimate the loss of molecular fragments along tubes,which serve as catalysts for the association of various radicals to stable molecules.

Ex situ Flora of China

The role of living collections-based research and discovery has been a prominent feature throughout the history of evolution and advance of botanical science: such research is the core and soul of the botanical gardens. Currently, there are c. 162 Chinese botanical gardens, harboring c. 20,000 species in China. As an example of initiatives to utilize the garden cultivated flora to address plant diversity conservation and germplasm discovery for sustainable agriculture and the bio-industries, the Ex situ Flora of China project aims to catalog and document this mega-diversity of plants that are cultivated in the Chinese botanical gardens. The concept of Ex situ Flora of China is a complete new formulation of species, based on garden cultivated individuals and populations, to obtain better morphological descriptions, provide multipurpose applicability and a fundamental data service that will support national bio-strategies and bioindustries. It emphasises integrative information, accurately collected from living collections across different Chinese botanical gardens, on biology, phenology, cultivation requirements and uses of plant resources, which are normally not available from traditional Floras based on herbarium specimens. The ex situ flora should provide better information coverage for taxonomy, biological and introduction and collection data and color photos of stems, leaves, flowers, fruits and seed, as well as useful information of cultivation key points and main use of each plant. In general, the Ex situ Flora of China provides more useful information than the traditional Flora Reipublicae Popularis Sinicae. The project of Ex situ Flora of China is planned to be one of the most important initiatives of the plant diversity research platform for sustainable economic and social development in China.
