Influence of Various Earth-Retaining Walls on the Dynamic Response Comparison Based on 3D Modeling

Dynamic event-triggered fault-tolerant cooperative resilient tracking control with prescribed performance for UAVs

In this paper, a resilient tracking control scheme with cooperative collision avoidance performance is studied for the fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) leader-follower formation in the presence of actuator failures and external disturbances. Firstly, based on the control objectives of UAV formation tracking and collision avoidance, the transformation tracking errors are obtained using the prescribed performance control technique. Next, a fault detection mechanism is introduced to determine if there is the actuator fault. Subsequently, the event-triggered resilient fault observers are designed based on a dynamic eventtriggered mechanism to estimate actuator faults. Furthermore, the prescribed performance functions and the H∞ performance index are employed to ensure the UAV formation collision-free and mitigate the impact of disturbances. Moreover, the resilient controller is designed to minimize the effect of the perturbations for the control gain and the fault observer gain on the system. The stability of the system is also proven through the Lyapunov stability analysis, and the controller gains are calculated by solving the linear matrix ***, the validity of the proposed control strategy is demonstrated by the simulation analysis.

Vegetable oil production from oil palm(Elaeis guineensis Jacq.)is an important industry due to the rising demand every *** somatic embryogenesis culture can propagate oil palm duplicate as parent plant,which can be selected as breeding material to produce new planting germplasm with high production or disease *** study aims to evaluate the genotypic effect of somatic embryogenesis,while immature leaflets were employed as *** culture used embryo induction medium based on Murashige and Skoog(MS)modifications that contained 5 mg/L Naphthalene Acetic acid(NAA)and 0.5 mg/L Benzyl Amino Purine(BAP).The genotypic effect was statistically significant in the percentage of callus induction,producing somatic embryos,and germination *** this study,we successfully cloned thirteen oil palm genotypes(GE-02,GE-03,GE-06,GE-07,GE-09,GE-23,GE-24,GE-27,GE-28,GE-32,GE-33,GE-34,and GE-35),with the highest number of somatic embryos formed on GE-27 with a percentage of 70.1%.The cloning was successful in accelerating the propagation of oil palm for materials breeding programs to create new varieties with high production and disease *** is necessary to observation the performance of these clones in the field in terms of mantle flower appearance.

Study of the Management and Disposal Practices of Unused or Out-of-Date Medicines by Households in the Municipality of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso

Introduction: Not all medicines that pass-through consumers’ hands are used, and some often expire in households. These health products can be sources of accidental risks and pollution when they are not properly disposed of. In Burkina Faso, there are as yet no guidelines for the disposal of unused medicines in households. The aim of this study was to estimate the extent of household possession of unused or expired medicines, and to describe attitudes and disposal practices. Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study covering households in the Ouagadougou commune conducted from June to August 2021. Two-stage stratified sampling was used: selection of Enumeration Zones (EZs) and selection of households, with each EZ comprising several households. Data collection was based on direct interviews using a structured questionnaire. Data were processed using Epi Info software version 7.***.4.0. Results: In total, 417 household residents were surveyed out of the planned 423 households, corresponding to a completion rate of 98.58% compared with the initial sample. Among the respondents, 79.62% had unused and/or expired medicines in their household. A total of 2562 drug packaging units were counted, for a total weight of 121.90 kg. Nearly 75% were aware that improper disposal was a danger to the environment. Some respondents kept their unused medicines at home until they expired (43.41%), and disposed of them mainly by throwing them in the household garbage (75.58%). The majority (79%) were in favor of the government setting up a take-back program for these medicines. Conclusion: The introduction of a take-back program for unused or out-of-date medicines will ensure safer disposal of medicines, and better protection for households and the environment.

Female reproductive success in a species with an age-inversed hierarchy

Background Opisthorchiasis and clonorchiasis, caused byOpisthorchis viverrini andClonorchis sinensis, respectively, are significant yet neglected foodborne trematodiases in the Great Mekong Subregion (GMS). Despite the reporting of the prevalence of these human liver flukes in the region over the past decades, there has been a lack of a comprehensive and systematic consolidation of this data. Therefore, we aimed to conduct a thorough systematic review and meta-analysis to synthesize and analyze time-trend prevalence estimates of bothO. viverrini andC. sinensis across the GMS for the past 30 *** This study undertakes a systematic review using a comprehensive search for published articles in PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, Cochrane and Thai Journal Online databases until early 2023. The pooled prevalence ofO. viverrini andC. sinensis infection was analyzed through a random-effects meta-analysis, with meta-regression analysis used to quantify associations with study characteristics. Sub-group analysis was conducted, whenever comparison data were available, to assess the risk ofO. viverrini andC. sinensis infection in each GMS country. Heterogeneity among studies was assessed using the Q statistic and quantified by using theI2 *** From a total of 2997 articles, 155 articles comprising 218 datasets and 751,108 participants were included for review. The GMS prevalence ofO. viverrini was 21.11% [45,083/260,237; 95% confidence interval (CI): 17.74–24.47%]. Pooled prevalence estimates were highly observed in Laos (34.06%, 95%CI: 26.85–41.26%), followed by Thailand (18.19%, 95%CI: 13.86–22.51%), and Cambodia (10.48%, 95%CI: 5.52–15.45%).
