Background:Resilience is crucial for medical college students to thrive in the highly stressful environment of medical ***,the prevalence of problematic internet use(PIU)in this population may negatively impact their *** study investigated the influence of problematic online gaming(PG)and problematic social media use(PSMU)on the resilience of medical college students in ***:A sample of 5075 first-year medical college students from four Chinese universities was *** served as the independent variable,resilience as the dependent variable,fatigue as the mediator,and PSMU as the *** equation modeling was conducted using LISREL ***,a moderated mediation model was evaluated using the jAMM module in jamovi ***:The study’s findings revealed significant negative correlations between resilience and the variables of PG,PSMU,and *** mediated the relationship between PG and resilience(B=−0.04,95%CI=[−0.05,−0.03]).PSMU moderated the direct relationship between PG and resilience with the interaction term PG×PSMU significant(B=−0.004,t=−6.501,pmediation with PG×PSMU significant(B=0.055,t=8.351,pmedia engagement may serve a protective role through social support in mitigating the adverse effects of PG on resilience.

Cognitive Metaphor Theory(CMT), originally formulated by Lakoff and Johnson in 1980, rejects the traditional view of metaphor being a rhetorical phenomenon, and redefines it as a cognitive instrument by which humans perceive, categorize, and conceptualize the *** cognitive method of metaphor studies offers an innovative research perspective on metaphor translation, which is more a process of reproducing in the target language the mapping relations of the original metaphor than a simple transplantation of the concept on the linguistic *** is one of the most common figures of speech in children's literature, but its translation is not as effortless as it might be, for translators have to take into account not only factors such as linguistic, cultural, and social differences, but also children's limited linguistic level and cognitive abilities, which altogether pose a formidable challenge to *** paper attempts to construct a cognitive metaphor translation model by exploring the cognitive process that translators go through when dealing with metaphor from the perspective of *** cognitive metaphor translation process is specified as including three steps: metaphor comprehension, metaphor adjustment, and metaphor *** analyzing metaphor examples extracted from two Chinese versions of The Wind in the Willows, a masterpiece of Kenneth Grahame in children's literature of Britain, this article summarizes metaphor translation techniques in children's literature.

As Chinese culture is ＂going out,＂ more and more non-native Chinese speakers are beginning to study Mandarin and are taking the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi （HSK） test. Mandarin has become a very important trade language for the Belt and Road countries. This paper uses the difference-in-difference model and the Mahalanobis distance and the nearest neighbor distance matching methods to study the internal relationship between culture ＂going out＂ and foreign trade. We find that cultural affinity is an important factor in promoting trade, and that the HSK project has expanded China＇s exports to the Belt and Road countries. Culture ＂s promotion effect in Asia is stronger than that in Europe. Culture ＂s promotion effect shows the characteristics of regional differences, a time-lag and a fluctuating upward trend. Therefore, further enhancing the international influence of its culture would help China to find a new source of export growth.

David Hume seems to receive several stereotypes and commonplace sentiments about China regarding its religion, national character, government, practices and economy, that he goes on to dismantle. Doing so, he allows the eighteenth-century reader to look at China from a different perspective. This perspective can still be useful especially today, when the ＂immense distance＂ between China and Europe has been reduced and, as Hume would say, almost everything we use is Chinese. In the name of an ambivalent European tradition, we are often inclined to revive these commonplace sentiments （for example, the uniformity of Chinese character） and neglect that part of our own tradition that tries to understand what is behind them and that also offers us the tools to go beyond them. This study endeavors to assemble an array of Hume＇s scattered remarks, consider them in their context, and explore their possible sources in order to obtain not only a more Humean China, but also a more Chinese Hume.

This study is aimed to discover the explicitation and implicitation of connectives in literature translation. Based on parallel corpus, two Chinese versions of Jane Eyre are studied from three aspects, Intra-language comparison, inter-language comparison and case study. The findings in the study prove the reliability of Blum-Kulka's(1986) famous explicitation hypothesis, and its possible motivations are fully explored as well.

With the increasing focus on personal health in society, the media pays more and more attention to health issues. The media has the power to set agendas to create both public awareness and concern. The discourses they construct influence the shape of public opinion. This study merges corpus analysis and discourse studies to explore the discursive constructions around Chinese medicine in British newspapers. We found that the agenda surrounding traditional Chinese medicine set in British national newspapers is an important factor in imparting knowledge on Chinese medicine, influencing the understanding of issues the readers are concerned with, and shaping the public opinion on Chinese medicine.
