Residue conversion by combining catalytic hydrotreating and delayed coking has been evaluated comparatively with both processes *** operating conditions are defined to achieve the greatest economic benefit for upgrading an atmospheric residue from a heavy crude oil.A literature model was adapted to simulate the hydrotreating reactor,and for delayed coking,correlations reported in the literature were *** results with both approaches were employed to calculate the techno-economic feasibility of the combined process *** combination of hydrotreating and delayed coking presented an increase in light fractions of 29% and a reduction in coke production of 47.8%.Based on the calculated net benefit values,it was demonstrated that the combination of hydrotreating and delayed coking is technically and economically better than using each process alone,with highest benefit of 57.7 USD·m^(-3).

The largest urban areas of Mexico cities have witnessed high levels of air pollution in the past few decades. The most important air pollutants are ozone and paniculate matter with levels that are still far above current air quality standard. In this work we studied exhaust and evaporative emissions of Mexico city metropolitan area （MAMc） vehicles using fuels in which sulfur content was varied from 89×10^-6 to 817×10^-6, and calculated the ozone forming potential of emissions as well as the specific reactivity of the exhaust for each average fleet-fuel combinations. Data on emission levels were compared to those obtained in 2000 for the same vintage of vehicles. The almost twofold increase in emissions found could be due to degradation of the exhaust emissions control systems.

Medicinal plants have long been used to treat various diseases in both indigenous and non-indigenous populations of Mindanao,***,we extracted data from ethnobotanical studies to compile a comprehensive list of these medicinal plants and identify how and for what purpose they are most commonly *** identified 530 verified medicinal plant species across 372 genera in 118 *** two most frequently cited species were Euphorbia hirta and Psidium *** most represented family was Fabaceae and the most represented genus was Ficus.A total of 28 medicinal plant species are designated as threatened at the national or global level;of these,11 are endemic to the *** plant preparations most commonly use leaves for oral administration to treat various diseases such as digestive issues,including *** study underscores the need for further ethnobotanical investigations,particularly in areas lacking *** also emphasizes the need for conservation of threatened and endemic medicinal plants to ensure sustainable utilization of this valuable resource.

In this paper, the corrosion of steel pipelines transporting hydrocarbon condensed products was studied. Different activities of sampling and analysis were carried out to diagnose the failure causes and to establish a control system for the corrosion problem. The combination of three types of corrosion, including erosion corrosion, galvanic corrosion and microbiologically induced corrosion, was synthetically considered. A serial of experiments were designed to research those types of corrosion. This type of failure was observed in characteristics sites of the pipeline, mainly in direction changes and welding joints. Additionally, localized corrosion was observed in the inner steel wall and distributed along the pipeline, although a tendency was not detected.

Data gaps and biases are two important issues that affect the quality of biodiversity information and downstream *** how best to fill existing gaps and account for biases is necessary to improve our current information most *** current main approaches for obtaining and improving data include(1)curation of biological collections,and(2)***,the comparative effectiveness of these approaches in improving biodiversity data remains little *** used the Flora de Bogota project to study the magnitude of change in species richness,spatial coverage,and sample coverage of plant records based on curation versus *** process of curation resulted in a decrease in species richness(synonym and error removal),but it significantly increased the number of records per *** contributed to a slight increase in species richness,via accumulation of new ***,curation led to increases in spatial coverage,species observed by locality,the number of plant records by species,and localities by species compared to ***,curationwas more efficient in producing new information compared to fieldwork,mainly because of the large number of records available in *** recommend intensive curatorial work as the first step in increasing biodiversity data quality and quantity,to identify bias and gaps at the regional scale that can then be targeted with *** stepwise strategy would enable fieldwork to be planned more costeffectively given the limited resources for biodiversity exploration and characterization.

BAcKGROUND The influence of Helicobacter-pylori(***)infection and the characteristics of gastric cancer(Gc)on tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte(TIl)levels has not been extensively *** of infiltrating-immune-cell subtypes as well as survival is necessary to obtain comprehensive *** To determine the rates of deficient mismatch-repair(dMMR),HER2-status and *** infection and their association with TIl levels in *** Samples from 503 resected Gc tumors were included and TIl levels were evaluated following the international-TIls-working-group recommendations with assessment of the intratumoral(IT),stromal(ST)and invasive-border(IB)*** density of cD3,cD8 and cD163 immune cells,and dMMR and HER2-status were determined by immunohistochemistry(IHc).*** infection was evaluated by routine histology and quantitative PcR(qPcR)in a subset of *** dMMR was found in 34.4%,HER2+in 5%and ***-positive in 55.7%of *** IT-TIl was associated with grade-3(P=0.038),while ST-TIl with grade-1(Pl-histology(Pcurrence(P=0.003).dMMR was associated with high TIl levels in the ST(P=0.019)and IB(P=0.01)compartments,and STcD3(P=0.049)and ST-cD8(P=0.05)***2-was associated with high IT-cD8(P=0.009).*** was associated with high IT-TIl levels(P=0.009)when assessed by routine-histology,and with high TIl levels in the 3 compartments(P=0.002-0.047)and cD8 density in the IT and ST compartments(P=0.001)when assessed by qPcR.A longer overall survival was associated with low IT-cD163(P=0.003)and cD8/cD3(P=0.001 in IT and P=0.002 in ST)and high IT-cD3(P=0.021),ST-cD3(P=0.003)and cD3/cD163(P=0.002).cONclUSION TIl levels were related to dMMR and *** cD8/cD3 and high cD163/cD3 were associated with lower recurrence and longer survival.

The main objective of this work was to use reline deep eutectic solvent,containing Al(III)ions,for the electrochemical study of the nucleation and growth of aluminum onto a glassy carbon electrode at different temperatures and angular speeds(ω)of the working *** order to fulfill this,electrochemical and surface characterization techniques were *** was found that as temperature increased,the onset of the Al(III)DES reduction occurred at less negative potentials while the current peak of the voltammograms *** indicate that Al deposition thermodynamics and kinetics were ***,no anodic current was detected due to Al passivation by Al(OH)_(3)(s)andγ-Al_(2)O_(3)(s).Atω=0 r/min,the Al deposition chronoamperograms were analyzed by a theoretical model comprising Al 3D diffusion-controlled nucleation and growth and residual water ***,those recorded at different angular speeds were analyzed with a theoretical model where adsorption−desorption and diffusion-controlled nucleation−growth occurred *** deposits were characterized by SEM,EDX,XPS and ***ω=0 r/min,formation of well distributed nanoparticles((78.1±9.5)nm)was observed,while atω=900 r/min the deposit was formed by multiple 10μm diameter leaf-like flat microstructures,composed by Al,Al(OH)_(3)(s)andγ-A2O3(s).
