Improvement of Vitis amurensis *** quality by using fish protein hydrolysates as fertilizer

High quality wine grape is the first factor to satisfy the wine-maker to produce superior quality *** this work,a fish protein hydrolysates derived from deep-sea salmon or cod,was used as fertilizer to improve Shuanghong(Vitis amurensis Rupr.)grape *** of powder fish protein hydrolysates fertilizer by spraying directly to foliar(4.5 kg/ha),to root(4.5 kg/ha)or to the both foliar(4.5 kg/ha)and root(4.5 kg/ha)were carried out respectively,during the period from 2–3 weeks before flowering until 2–3 weeks before *** sampling was made at both veraison and *** classes of phenolic compounds,including 10 phenolic acids and 11 proanthocyanidins in grape seeds and 10 anthocyanins in grape skins were determined by UHPLC or HPLC;total anthocyanins and total polyphenols in grape skins were determined by spectrophotometric *** activities of the phenolic compounds were evaluated by ABTS and FRAP *** results showed that the application of fish protein hydrolysates fertilizer to both root and foliar led to a significant improvement of berry quality at harvest/maturity,i.e.,increasing 12.13%total polyphenols(TP),8.3%total anthocyanins 11.03%ABTS and 45.81%FRAP compared with ***,both root and foliar application resulted in the highest individual anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins in *** results suggest that the both root and foliar application could be of great interest for the viticulturists to produce grapes with higher polyphenolic content and antioxidant *** this work was experimented with Vitis amurensis ***,the proposed methods would also be applicable to other grape varieties for the purposes of increasing anthocyanin or polyphenol contents.

The thermoregulatory behavior of sea hare Aplysia californica was determined in a horizontal thermal gradient;with a preferred temperature (PT) of 18.3°C for the day cycle and 20.8°C for the night cycle. The displacement velocity demonstrated an initial rate of 30 cm·hˉ1 and gradually the velocity diminished to 18 cm·hˉ1 with several fluctuations mainly at 02:00 am. Critical Temperature Maxima (CTMax refers to the temperature point where at least 50% of the experimental group have a loss of attachment) was measured at three acclimation temperatures (16°C, 19°C and 22°C). At the lowest acclimation temperature (16°C), 50% of the experimental group had an attachment loss at CTMax 32.7°C, and in a higher acclimation temperature (22°C) CTMax was 36.2°C. The Oxygen Consumption Rate (OCR) was closely correlated to acclimation temperature, and at 16°C and 19°C sea hare had a relatively stable metabolic rate, with OCR increasing to 9 mg O2 hˉ1·kgˉ1 w.w. in a higher acclimation temperature.

The Effects of Host Diversity in Anthracnose Management and Race Composition of Colletotrichum sublineolum in Sorghum Lineage Mixtures

Alternative strategies of management of sorghum diseases were implemented using field experiments conducted in Embrapa Maize and Sorghum Research Center,Brazil in 2001 until 2003 to evaluate the efficacy of lineage mixtures of Sorghum bicolor for the control of anthracnose(caused by Colletotrichum sublineolum).The calculated values for disease severity considered the area under the disease progress curve(AUDPC)observed for the nine susceptible and resistant elite strains of sorghum planted in 30 stands *** stand was drawn in mixtures of three genotypes each,in the same proportions per *** design was compared with the severity of the disease measured in AUDPC calculated for each of the same nine strains of sorghum in pure *** most of the cases,the disease severity on the susceptible cultivars was decreased;and in some cases,reached 85%of disease reduction compared with disease progress in pure stand of correspondent *** implication and effect of these sorghum mixtures on the populations of *** on each treatment were evaluated and revealed that there was an increase of frequency of complex races in most of these mixtures and a highest phenotypic diversity for virulence to pathogen populations from pure stands,than the characterized on populations collected from the mixtures,despite of the effectiveness on decrease of the anthracnose severity.

A substantial number of studies have been published since the Ninth International Workshop on Tropical Cyclones(IWTC-9)in 2018,improving our understanding of the effect of climate change on tropical cyclones(TCs)and associated hazards and *** studies have reinforced the robustness of increases in TC intensity and associated TC hazards and risks due to anthropogenic climate *** modeling and observational studies suggested the potential influence of anthropogenic climate forcings,including greenhouse gases and aerosols,on global and regional TC activity at the decadal and century time ***,there are still substantial uncertainties owing to model uncertainty in simulating historical TC decadal variability in the Atlantic,and the limitations of observed TC *** projected future change in the global number of TCs has become more uncertain since IWTC-9 due to projected increases in TC frequency by a few climate models.A new paradigm,TC seeds,has been proposed,and there is currently a debate on whether seeds can help explain the physical mechanism behind the projected changes in global TC *** studies also highlighted the importance of large-scale environmental fields on TC activity,such as snow cover and air-sea *** projections on TC translation speed and medicanes are new additional focus topics in our *** and future research are proposed relevant to the remaining scientific questions and assisting policymakers.

Foodborne Illnesses (FI) are considered an important problem in public health for their high levels of morbidity and, in some cases, of mortality in Mexico and around the world. Different agents that cause Foodborne Illnesses, in which biological agents such as the genus Salmonella spp., are included, have been often associated with outbreaks. A continued effort has been observed in the food industry, in collaboration with sanitary authorities on a global scale, through the creation and continued improvement of different procedures to prevent the contamination by Salmonella, in which the elaboration of laboratory methodologies for the detection and isolation of this pathogen in foods and, in such manner, prevents the outbreak of illnesses. However, along with the aforementioned, it has been reported that a few years ago, the appearance of an ever-increasing number of strains of Salmonella spp., in foods with multi-drug resistance to antibiotics which are used in the treatment of its illness, results in a major emphasis on the health issue related to Foodborne Illnesses and, in particular, to those generated by factors of medical dependence such as the increase in recuperation time, costs, and reduction in the number of alternative pharmaceutical treatments. This work presents a general overview of FI, in which illnesses generated by bacteria of the genus Salmonella spp., their detection in a microbiological laboratory, as well as the phenomenon of resistance to antibiotics by these bacteria, and the current and difficult issue reported through different investigations all around the world, of the rise in this phenomenon and its importance in public health, are discussed.

The first search for the doubly heavy Ωbc0baryon and a search for the Ξbc0baryon are performed using pp collision data collected via the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 *** baryons are reconstructed via their decays to ∧c+π-andΞc+π-.No significant excess is found for invariant masses between 6700 and 7300 MeV/c2,in a rapidity range from2.0 to 4.5 and a transverse momentum range from 2 to 20 MeV/*** limits are set on the ratio of the Ωbc0andΞbc0production cross-section times the branching fraction to ∧c+π-（Ξc+π-） relative to that of the ∧b0（Ξb0） baryon,for different lifetime hypotheses,at 95% confidence *** upper limits range from 0.5×10-4to 2.5×10-4for theΩbc0→∧c+π-(Ξbc0→∧c+π-) decay,and from 1.4×10-3to 6.9×10-3for the Ωbc0→Ξc+π-(Ξbc0→Ξc+π-) decay,depending on the considered mass and lifetime of the Ωbc0(Ξbc0) baryon.

AIM: To describe current profile of patients with cardio-vascular disease(CVD) and assessing changes through last ***: Comparison of patients with established CVD from two similar cross-sectional registries performed in 1999(n = 6194) and 2009(n = 4639).The types of CVD were coronary heart disease(CHD),heart failure(HF) and atrial fibrillation(AF).Patients were collected from outpatient *** were 80% cardiologist and 20% primary care *** antecedents,major diagnosis,blood test results and medical treatments were collected from all ***: An increase in all risk factors,except for smoking,was observed;a 54.4% relative increase in BP control was *** was the most prevalent CVD but HF and AF increased significantly,41.5% and 33.7%,respectively.A significant reduction in serum lipid levels was *** use of statins increased by 141.1% as did all cardiovascular ***,the use of angiotensin-renin system inhibitors in patients with HF,beta-blockers in CHD patients or oral anticoagulants in AF patients increased by 83.0%,80.3% and 156.0%,respectively(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: The prevalence of all cardiovascular risk factors has increased in patients with CVD through last *** and AF have experienced the largest increases.
