Polycystic ovary syndrome （PCOS） is the most common endocrine and metabolic disorder of women, with complex pathogenesis and heterogeneous manifestations. Professor Jin Yu recently wrote an article entitled ＂Proposal of Diagnosis and Diagnostic Classification of PCOS in Integrated Traditional chinese and Western Medicine.＂ From this, the Obstetrics and Gynecology branches of the chinese Association of Integrative Medicine and the China Association of chinese Medicine collaborated with the Gynecology branch of the chinese Association for Research and Advancement of chinese Medicine to draft a report on the consensus of criteria for the diagnosis and classification of PCOS in integrated traditional chinese and Western medicine. The diagnosis for PCOS includes all three features：（1） oligo-ovulation or anovulation; （2） clinical and/or laboratory evidence of hyperandrogenism; （3） PCOS is classified into four types： types la, Ib, Ila, and lib. Syndrome differentiation types for PCOS in traditional chinese medicine are as follows： Kidney deficiency with phlegm blockage syndrome, Kidney Yin deficiency with phlegm blockage and blood stasis syndrome, and Kidney deficiency with Liver Qi stagnation syndrome.

China has experienced dramatic changes in food consumption patterns over the last three decades. However, there are different opinions regarding the future trends in consumption. By adopting the well-developed partial equilibrium model-China Agricultural Policy Simulation Model（CAPSi M）, the demand for livestock products and the main feed crops over 2011–2030 is predicted and analyzed. It is found that China＇s per capita consumption of livestock products will continue to rise during this period, even though its growth rate will slow down gradually. Meanwhile, the expansion of livestock production will pose great challenges for feed supply in China. More accurately, China will be confronted with feed security rather than grain security in the future.

Estimation of random errors, which are due to shot noise of photomultiplier tube(PMT) or avalanche photodiode(APD) detectors, is very necessary in lidar observation. Due to the Poisson distribution of incident electrons, there still exists a proportional relationship between standard deviation and square root of its mean value. Based on this relationship,noise scale factor(NSF) is introduced into the estimation, which only needs a single data sample. This method overcomes the distractions of atmospheric fluctuations during calculation of random errors. The results show that this method is feasible and reliable.

Radioisotope of^(230)Pa was synthesized by proton irradiation of ThO_(2) powder targets with thickness of about 2g/cm^(2).Pure^(230)Pa was extracted and deep purified from thorium and fission products by the radiochemical ***^(230)Pa→^(230)U sources were prepared for measuring the cluster decay of^(230)*** cases of decay via heavy ion emission,which were most probably for the neon decays of^(230)U,were detected by using solid-state track registration *** preliminary branching ratio relative to a-decay comes out to be(1.3±0.8)10^(-14).

This paper presents the design of a 10 Gb/s PAM2, 20 Gb/s PAM4 high speed low power wire-line transceiver equalizer in a 65 nm CMOS process with 1 V supply voltage. The transmitter occupies 430 × 240 μm2 and consumes 50.56 mW power. With the programmable 5-order pre-emphasis equalizer, the transmitter can compensate for a wide range of channel loss and send a signal with adjustable voltage swing. The receiver equalizer occupies 146 × 186μm^2 and consumes 5.3 mW power.

Rhizosphere organic phosphorus fractions of Simon poplar and Mongolian pine plantations in a semiarid sandy land of northeastern China

The aim of this study was to investigate the role of rhizosphere organic phosphorus （P） in soil P supply in semiarid forests and the effects of tree species on rihizosphere organic P. We examined organic P fractions in rhizosphere and bulk soils of mono-specific Simon poplar （Populus simonii） and Mongolian pine （Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica） plantations in a semiarid sandy soil of Horqin Sandy Land in Northeast China. Total organic P （TPo） accounted for 76% of total P across the two stands. The concentration of organic P （Po） fractions decreased in the order of NaOH-Po〉Res-Po〉HCI-Po〉NaHCO3-Po in both plantations. The concentration of NaHCO3-Po was 38% and 43% lower in rhizosphere soil than in bulk soil in Simon poplar and Mongolian pine plantations, respectively. In contrast, total P, TPo and NaOH-Po significantly accumulated in rhizosphere soil in Simon poplar plantations, but no change in Mongolian pine plantations. Soil recalcitrant organic P fractions were positively correlated with soil organic carbon. The results suggest that rhizosphere labile organic P was an important source of plant-available P in this semiarid region, but the dynamic of rhizosphere recalcitrant organic P fractions varied with tree species and was correlated to organic carbon dynamics.

Six different environmental samples were applied to enrich microbial consortia for efficient degradation of corn stalk,under the thermophilic and mesophilic *** consortium obtained from anaerobic digested sludge under thermophilic condition(TC-Y)had the highest lignocellulose-degrading *** CO_2yield was 246.73 m L/g VS in23 days,meanwhile,the maximum CO_2production rate was 15.48 mL/(CO_2·d),which was28.75%and 52.27%higher than that under mesophilic condition,*** peak value of cellulase activity reached 0.105 U/mL,which was at least 34.61%higher than the other *** addition,49.5%of corn stalk was degraded in 20 days,moreover,the degradation ratio of cellulose,hemicellulose and lignin can reach 52.76%,62.45%and42.23%,*** consortium structure analysis indicated that the TC-Y contained the phylum of Gemmatimonadetes,Acidobacteria,Chloroflexi,Planctomycetes,Firmicutes,and ***,the Pseudoxanthomonas belonging to GammaProteobacteria might be the key bacterial group for the lignocellulose *** results indicated the capability of degrading un-pretreated corn stalk and the potential for further investigation and application of TC-Y.

OBJECTIVES： To explore the distribution of TCM patterns in ketamine users and the inter-rater reli- ability of TCM diagnosis among TCM practitioners. METHODS： Eighty-four subjects recruited from sub- stance abuse clinics and non-governmental coun- seling services catering for ketamine abusers were examined by one or two TCM practitioners. The dis- tribution and inter-rater reliability of the TCM diag- noses between the two TCM practitioners were de- scribed and measured. RESULTS： Seven TCM patterns were differentiated. The four most common patterns were the Heart Yin deficiency （29.8%）, Kidney Yang deficiency （26.2%）, Kidney Yin deficiency （19.0%）, and Spleen Yang defi-ciency （14.3%）. The agreement between the two TCM practitioners was 59%, the kappa for the three most common patterns was 0.472 （P=O.O03）. The proportion of men was lower in the Kidney Yin defi- ciency group （18.8%）, in comparison to the Heart Yin deficiency （60.0%, P=0.009） and Kidney Yang de- ficiency group （59.1%, P=0.013）. CONCLUSION： The differences between the TCM groups in terms of the source of referral and num- ber of drug uses other than ketamine were of bor- derline significance. Further research should focus on validating diagnostic tools and improving in- ter-rater reliability in TCM to enhance the quality of clinical trials of TCM treatments for ketamine abuse.

Contrasting views exist on timing and mechanisms of Tertiary crustal uplift in the NE Tibetan Plateau based on different approaches, with many models atributing surface uplift to crustal shortening. We carry out a comprehensive investigation of mid-Tertiary stratigraphy, sedimentology, and volcanism in the West Qinling, Hoh Xil and Qaidam basin, and the results challenge previous views. It was held that the discordance between Oligocene and Miocene strata is an angular unconformity in the West Qinling, but our field observations show that it is actually a disconformity, indicative of vertical crustal uplifting rather than crustal shortening at the Oligocene to Miocene transition. Widespread occurrence of synsedimentary normal faults in mid-Tertiary successions implicates supracrustal stretching. Miocene potassic–ultrapassic and mafic–ultramafic volcanics in the Hoh Xil and West Qinling suggest a crucial role of deep thermomechanical processes in generating crust-and mantle-sourced magmatism. Also noticeable are the continuity of mid-Tertiary successions and absence of volcanics in the Qaidam basin. Based on a holistic assessment of stratigraphic–sedimentary processes, volcanic petrogenesis, and spatial variations of lithospheric thicknesses, we speculate that small-sale mantle convection might have been operating beneath northeast Tibet in the mid-Tertiary. It is assumed that northward asthenospheric flow was impeded by thicker cratonic lithosphere of the Qaidam and Alxa blocks, thereby leading to edge convection. The edge-driven convection could bring about surface uplift, induce supracrustal stretching, and trigger vigorous volcanism in the Hoh Xil and West Qinling in the mid-Tertiary period. This mechanism satisfactorily explains many key geologic phenomena that are hardly reconciled by previous models.
