human beings are the mainstay and the ultimate goal of civilization.The history of human civilization is a continuous struggle to realize the respect,liberation,protection,and development of humanity.human rights are an achievement of humanity and a symbol of progress,and the human rights civilization is an important component of human civilization.Understanding and interpreting human rights from the perspective of human rights civilization means that human rights are not only a concept or an idea but also a grand historical and long-term social practice.Up to now,the development of human rights civilization has roughly experienced four awakening eras:initialization,revolution,popularization,and globalization.In terms of its value dimensions,it has the characteristics of progressiveness,diversity,commonality,inclusiveness,indivisibility,openness,and so on.The historical position of human rights civilization and the development of its value dimensions have shown to the world that human rights are the common wealth of humanity,and human rights belong to all mankind;human rights are historical,concrete,and developmental;the concept of human rights is constantly evolving,and its connotations and categories are constantly expanding;achieving the free and well-rounded development of every person is the highest value realm of human rights civilization.The Chinese modernization endows Chinese civilization with modern strength and opens up new horizons for human rights civilization.The new pattern of human rights civilization to be created by Chinese modernization not only possesses the common characteristics of human rights civilization but also enjoys Chinese characteristics based on its own national conditions,enriching and developing the diversity of human rights civilization for all mankind.

Systematic and Theoretical Unfolding of Research on Xi Jinping's Discourses on Respecting and Protecting human rights

XiJinping’sdiscoursesonrespectingandprotecting human rights stand as a shining example of the sinicization and modernization of Marxist human rights theory, embodying profound theoretical, political, practical, and cultural logic. Existing research has conducted comprehensive and systematic theoretical analysis and academic extractions on the following contents:the core essence inherent in these important discourses, including the “theory of human rights concepts,” the “theory of human rights paths,” the “theory of human rights practices,” the “theory of human rights protection,” and the “theory of human rights governance,” along with their profound theoreticalsignificance,practicalsignificance,andglobalsignificance. In the future, researchers should emphasize efforts on studying theoriginaltextsandunderstandingtheoriginalprinciples.While focusing on the precision of concepts, the scientific nature of the propositions, the maturity of theoretical systems, and the rigor of internal logic related to Xi Jinping’s discourses on respecting and protecting human rights, researchers should also pay attention to constructing a discourse system on human rights from the dimensions of discourse power, discourse cluster, and discourse field. Researchers should be adeptatdrawinginnovativeinsightsintohumanrightstheoryfrom China’s vibrant human rights practices and the vast masses of people.This approach will facilitate the systematic unfolding, academic transformation, and innovative development of Xi Jinping’s discourses on respecting and protecting human rights.

Seventy-five years ago,when the haze of World War II was still dissipating,the pursuit of human rights and peace had long been in progress.On December 10,1948,the Universal Declaration of human rights(hereinafter referred to as the Declaration)came into being as the fog of war gradually gave way to sunshine.This document,which is of great significance in the history of human civilization,reaffirms the inherent dignity of all members of the human family,calls on all countries to respect human rights,and advocates pluralistic consensus to address confrontations and conflicts.

Seeking Solutions for the “Four Questions” of China's human rights-——Theoretical Review and Prospects of China's human rights Research in 2023

In 2023, China's human rights research is aimed at addressing “China's question,” the “world's question,” the “people's question,” and the “question of the times.” Resolving “China's question” on human rights seeks to establish the subjectivity of the Chinese path of human rights development. The ontological interpretation of the Chinese path of human rights development has elucidated the historical, theoretical, and practical logic of its formation, while the epistemological exploration has unfolded the subject presuppositions,theoretical compositions, and reference systems of the Chinese path of human rights. Addressing the “world's question” of human rights aims to answer how the world has changed in the field of human rights and what China should do in response. Faced with the severe challenges of global human rights governance, relevant studies have proposed “Chinese solutions” from the perspectives of overall strategy, historical experience, value guidance, and institutionalized participation, among others. Responding to the “people's question” regarding human rights means continuously meeting the growing demands of the people for a better life. Relevant studies focus on explaining the relationship between fundamental human rights and maximum human rights, the relationship between inclusive human rights and specific group interests,and the relationship between constitutional and legal guarantees of human rights. Seeking answers to the “question of the times” concerning human rights involves adapting to the changing times and meeting the needs of the times on human rights. Relevant research focuses on new demands in the field of human rights, particularly discussing digital human rights, environmental human rights, climate and human rights, as well as business and human rights. With profound past experiences and lofty future expectations, China's human rights research should focus on enhancing its systematic and theoretical levels, accelerating the construction of a disciplinary system, an academic system,an

Today,we are here to commemorate the 75^(th) anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of human rights.In this Declaration,which consists of only30 articles,seven articles are related to the constitution,law,court,and the rule of law,making it a declaration filled with the rule of law.Coincidentally,today is also the 10^(th) National Constitution Day of China.Nineteen years ago,“the state respects and protects human rights”was enshrined in the Constitution,becoming a constitutional principle.Since then,human rights protection in China has been based on fundamental law.
