The oscillating hydrofoil represents a promising technology for harvesting energy from tidal *** previous research has primarily focused on oscillating hydrofoils utilizing a fully activated control strategy,the industry predominantly employs a semi-activated control strategy in existing tidal current energy *** is essential to identify the differences in predicted energy-harvesting performance between these two controlling strategies through experimental modeling or numerical ***,the suitability of the fully activated control strategy in predicting the energy-harvesting capabilities of oscillating hydrofoils is *** 2D numerical models of hydrofoil based on fully activated and semi-activated control strategies have been developed and *** amplitudes of heaving and pitching movements for the fully activated hydrofoil are determined to match those of the semi-activated *** results show that the main difference between the two control strategies lies in the phase shift occurring between the pitching and heaving *** phase shift affects the lift force and its coordination with the heaving velocity,which in turn affects the power ***,the maximum relative efficiency difference obtained between the fully activated and semi-activated control strategies can reach 191%.

Herein,an external crosslinker facilitated the hypercrosslinking of ferrocene and a nitrogen heterocyclic compound(either melamine or imidazole)through a direct Friedel-Crafts reaction,which led to the formation of nitrogen-containing hypercrosslinked fer-rocene polymer precursors(HCP-FCs).Subsequent carbonization of these precursors results in the production of iron-nitrogen-doped por-ous carbon absorbers(Fe-NPCs).The Fe-NPCs demonstrate a porous structure comprising aggregated nanotubes and *** porosity of this structure can be modulated by adjusting the iron and nitrogen contents to optimize impedance *** uniform dis-tribution of Fe-N_(x)C,N dipoles,andα-Fe within the carbon matrix can be ensured by using hypercrosslinked ferrocenes in constructing porous carbon,providing the absorber with numerous polarization sites and a conductive *** electromagnetic wave absorption performance of the specially designed Fe-NPC-M_(2)absorbers is satisfactory,revealing a minimum reflection loss of-55.3 dB at 2.5 mm and an effective absorption bandwidth of 6.00 GHz at 2.0 *** utilizing hypercrosslinked polymers(HCPs)as precursors,a novel method for developing highly efficient carbon-based absorbing agents is introduced in this research.

Powdery mildew negatively impacts wheat yield and quality. Emmer wheat (Triticum dicoccum), an ancestral species of common wheat, is a gene donor for wheat improvement. Cultivated emmer accession H1-707 exhibited all-stage resistance to powdery mildew over consecutive years. Genetic analysis of H1-707 at the seedling stage revealed a dominant monogenic inheritance pattern, and the underlying gene was designated Pm71. By employing bulked segregant exome sequencing (BSE-Seq) and using 2000 F2:3 families, Pm71 was fine mapped to a 336-kb interval on chromosome arm 6AS by referencing to the durum cv. Svevo RefSeq 1.0. Collinearity analysis revealed high homology in the candidate interval between Svevo and six Triticum species. Among six high-confidence genes annotated within this interval, TRITD6Av1G005050 encoding a GDSL esterase/lipase was identified as a key candidate for Pm71. © 2025 Crop Science Society of China and institute of Crop Science, CAAS

During the highly transient process of the direct-start in a four-cylinder GDI engine,each cylinder exhibits specific characteristics in terms of in-cylinder conditions and energy demands,necessitating different control for each ***,recent studies have paid insufficient attention to cylinders other than the first starting *** paper proposes a comprehensive control strategy based on experimental data from the direct-start process of the second,third,and fourth cylinders,aiming to enhance the characteristics of combustion and emission performance through the optimization of injection timing,equivalence ratio,and ignition *** research findings indicate that the second cylinder should inject fuel approximately 10 ms after the first cylinder ignites to mix thoroughly the fuel with *** ignition timing of the second cylinder should be close to the highest point of the piston movement to minimize hindrance to the piston compression *** third and fourth cylinders should adopt a delayed injection timing strategy to prevent the escape of injected fuel caused by low engine *** optimal ignition timing for the third cylinder is 20℃A BTDC,while the fourth cylinder should be ignited earlier due to its stronger airflow and faster formation of a mixture that can be *** the fuel injection quantity increases,the power output of the three cylinders enhances,but at the same time,emissions also ***,their optimal equivalence ratios are determined as 1.2,1.4,and 1.2,respectively,striking a balance between combustion and emission performances.

本文采用激光熔覆技术在Cr12Mo V钢表面成功制备了WC颗粒增强CoCrFeNiMo高熵合金复合涂层以提高基体耐磨性能。研究了WC含量对复合涂层显微组织演变、显微硬度和耐磨性能的影响。结果表明，WC/CoCrFeNiMo复合涂层中存在大量碳化物，主要包括初生树枝状碳化物、共晶碳化物、未完全熔化的残余WC颗粒和沿其外围生长的块状碳化物四种类型。随着WC含量的增加，由于固溶强化和第二相强化，涂层的显微硬度逐渐提高，平均摩擦因数和平均磨损量呈下降趋势。当WC添加量为30 wt.%时，复合涂层的耐磨性能显著提高，此时显微硬度达到最高值HV0.2689.7，摩擦因数降低至最小值0.72，其磨损机制主要为剥落磨损和磨粒磨损。

Cadmium （Cd） pollution not only leads to the reduction in crop yields but also migrates and accumulates through the food chain，thus posing a threat to human health. It is an important issue to reduce Cd uptake and enrichment in crops and increase crop resistance to Cd stress for sustainable development of green-health agriculture. To establish a novel agronomic technique using microalgae to control Cd pollution and improve crop stress resistance，the microalga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and wheat（Triticum aestivum）were employed for systematic investigation so as to the elucidate effects and mechanism of microalgae in blocking Cd migration and enhancing crop resistance to Cd stress. The test crop materials were the winter wheat variety JM182 and spring wheat variety JC6. Hydroponic experiments were used to simulate Cd stress at two dosages，50 mg·L-1（Cd50） and 100 mg·L-1（Cd100）. Two different dosages of C. reinhardtii living cell agents，i.e.，the microalgal cell cultures with D680 = 1.0 （A1.0） and D680 = 2.0 （A2.0），were prepared using conventional microalgal-cultivation methods and subsequently used to treat wheat seedlings under Cd stress. Several physiological and biochemical parameters were determined for wheat seedlings under two doses of Cd stress，respectively，including growth features，photosynthesis，cellular antioxidant enzyme activity，Cd uptake，transportation and accumulation，and transcriptions of the genes associated with heavy metal transportation. The results showed that Cd stress crucially inhibited the growth of wheat seedlings. However，the application of C. reinhardtii living cell agents significantly increased the contents of photosynthetic pigments（chlorophyll a，chlorophyll b，and carotenoids）and activated the antioxidant enzyme system activities （SOD，POD，CAT，GSH，and APX）. The microalgal living cell agents also reduced the damage of Cd stress on wheat seedling growth. Moreover，both doses （A1.0 and A2.0） of C. reinhardtii living cell agents downregulated the

Understanding thermal hysteresis of ferroelectric phase transitions in BaTiO_(3) with combined first-principle-based approach and phase-field model

Based on the principles of thermodynamics, we elucidate the fundamental reasons behind the hysteresis of spontaneous polarization in ferroelectric materials during heating and cooling processes. By utilizing the effective Hamiltonian method in conjuction with the phase-field model, we have successfully reproduced the thermal hysteresis observed in ferroelectric materials during phase transitions. The computational results regarding the electrocaloric effect from these two different computational scales closely align with experimental measurements. Furthermore, we analyze how the first-order ferroelectric phase transition gradually diminishes with an increasing applied electric field, exhibiting characteristics of second-order-like phase transition. By employing the characteristic parameters of thermal hysteresis, we have established a pathway for calculations across different computational scales, thereby providing theoretical support for further investigations into the properties of ferroelectric materials through concurrent multiscale simulations.
