This article experimentally investigated the pressure and cavitation characteristics of high velocity flow over a surface irregularity with and without aeration in a non-circulating water tunnel system. The surface irregularity is a cylindrical protrusion made of stainless steel of 6 mm diameter and 2 mm height. Pressures with and without aeration were measured with MPX400D pressure transducers and real-timely acquired by a SINOCERA YE6263 data acquisition system. Variations in flow regimes with and without aeration were observed. Pressure profiles and their variations with air concentration upper and lower cylindrical protrusion on the invert and obvert walls were determined. Variations of cavitation number with air concentration lower cylindrical protrusion were analyzed. Also, cavitation numbers in the presence and absence of aeration were compared.

Within the context of the Littlest Higgs model with T-parity, the heavy photon （AH） is supposed to be an ideM dark matter （DM） candidate. One direct proof of validity of the model is to produce the heavy photon at collider. In this paper, we investigate the associated production of a photon with heavy photon pair at the planned international e＋ e- linear collider （ILC）, i.e., e＋e- → AHAHγ and show the distributions of the transverse momenta of the photon. The numerical results indicate that the heavy photon production rate could reach severaL fb at the low mass parameter space and the characteristic signal is a single high energetic photon and missing energy, carried by the heavy photons. All in a/l, it can be a good chance to observe the heavy photon via this process with the high yearly luminosity of the ILC.

In this paper,the criteria set related to the priority preorders of water resources projects is introduced.A fuzzy multiple criteria group decision-making model is established,which incorporates quantitative analysis,judgments,experience and preferences of *** model is used in practice to determine the priority preorders of five water resources projects,and the results show that the best choice can supply more new employment,domestic water and irrigation water,and has better quality.

The cut-off wall in a clay-core rockfill dam built on a thick overburden layer is subjected to a large compressive pressure under the action of the loads such as the dead weight of both the dam and the overburden layer, the frictional force induced by the differential settlement between the cut-off wall and surrounding soils, and the water pressure. Thus, reduction of the stress of the cut-off wall has become one of the main problems for consideration in engineering design. In this paper, numerical analysis of a core rockfill dam built on a thick overburden layer was conducted and some factors influencing the stress-strain behaviors of the cut-off wall were investigated. The factors include the improvement of the overburden layer, the modeling approach for interfacial contact between the cut-off wall and surrounding soils, the modulus of the cut-off wall concrete, and the connected pattern between the cut-off wall and the clay core. The result shows that improving the overburden layer,selecting plastic concrete with a low modulus and high strength, and optimizing the connection between the cut-off wall and the clay core of the dam are effective measures of reducing the deformations and compressive stresses of the cut-off wall. In addition, both the Goodman element and the mud-layer element are suitable for simulating the interfacial contact between the cut-off wall and surrounding soils.

Dark-matter pair production at the ILC in the littlest Higgsmodel with T-parity

In the littlest Higgs model with T-parity, the heavy photon （A_H） is supposed to be a possible dark matter （DM） candidate. The direct proof of the validity of this model is to produce the heavy photon at an accelerator. In this paper, we study the production rate of e~＋ e^- → AH AH at the international e~＋ e^- linear collider （ILC） in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity, and show the distributions of the transverse momenta of A H . The numerical results indicate that the heavy photon production rate could reach the 10^-1 fb level at some parameter space, so this could be a good chance to observe the heavy photon via the pair production process with high luminosity at the ILC （500 fb^-1）. We know that DM is composed of weakly interacting massive particles, so the interactions with standard model particles are weak. How to detect heavy photons at a collider and distinguish them from other DM candidates are discussed in the final section of the paper.

A curve of equal cavitation number (abbreviated as ECN curve) is proposed for bucketsof high-dam spillways. Based on simplified analysis, equations for the calculation of such acurve are developed. These equations may be conveniently solved by a Runge-Kutta *** to high-dam spillways show that the effective head of a spillway as far as cavita-tion potential is concerned may be substontially reduced by adopting the ECN curve for thebucket. In one case, the effective head of a spillway with a drop of 111.5 m is thus reduced to62 m.

In this paper, the stability of disclination ring in nematie liquid crystals is studied. In the presence of saddle-splay elasticity （characterized by k24） the disclination ring has a universal equilibrium radius. Depending on the values of the saddle-splay constant k24, the universal equilibrium radius is altered. When k24 〉 0.92k （m = 1/2） and k24 〉 0.88k （m =-1/2）, the disclination will be a point rather than a ring, where k is the Frank elastic constant in the one-constant approximation.
