The European Union’s foreign and security policy has come into being and developed in the process of European ***’s influenced by both internal and external *** the international financial crisis in 2008,the return of major country competition coupled with the EU’s internal challenges has pushed the EU to adjust and reform its foreign and security policy.A Global Strategy for EU Foreign and Security Policy,released in 2016,advocates“European strategic autonomy”and reshapes the EU foreign and security policy at the level of concepts,capacity building and *** recent years,along with the geopolitical shift in EU power,its foreign and security policy has shown new features such as the orientation to major country competition and the strengthening of EU-US and EU-NATO cooperation.

With improvement of China’s economic development and integration into the globalization,the increasing international infl uence of China’s consumer market,and progressing consumption upgrading,the internationalization of the subject,object and carrier of China’s consumer market is becoming more and more *** on a theoretical review of consumption internationalization,this paper defi nes the connotation of consumption internationalization,and summarizes the characteristics and the problems of China’s current consumption internationalization.A series of policy suggestions are provided,including a more abundant supply of medium and high-end commodities,a better consumption environment for imported goods,a sound tax exemption and refund service system,an expanded inbound tourism and so *** paper believes that the degree of integration of various elements such as the subject,object,and carrier between domestic and foreign market still needs to be improved in *** should follow the trend of consumption internationalization and promote the upgrading of China’s consumption to a higher level.

China is geographically the third largest country in the world and the most populated low-to-middle-income country. Cancer incidence and mortality rates for some cancers in the USA and European countries have steadily decreased over the last decades, whereas the incidence and mortality of certain cancers in China have been increasing at an alarming speed. Rapid industrialization and urbanization in China have been accompanied by incredible changes in lifestyle and environment combined with an aging population. Mortality caused by lung, colorectal and breast cancers has been steadily increasing, whereas cancer mortality from gastric, esophageal and cervical tumors has tended to decrease. Similar to what has occurred in the United States, unhealthy lifestyles in China, including heavy smoking and poor diet combined with pollution, have contributed to increased cancer risk. China is facing many challenges in cancer treatment and prevention for the general population. The major areas that need to be addressed in the control of cancer in China include cancers associated with environmental pollution,tobacco use, occupational carcinogens, infection, excessive alcohol consumption, dietary deficiencies and obesity. In this perspective, we review the problems in each area and suggest ideas for future directions in cancer research and strategies and actions to reduce the incidence of cancer in China.

This study investigates the effect of the initial tropical cyclone(TC)vortex structure on the intensity change during the eyewall replacement cycle(ERC)of TCs based on two idealized simulations using the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)*** show that an initially smaller TC with weaker outer winds experienced a much more drastic intensity change during the ERC than an initially larger TC with stronger outer *** is found that an initially larger TC vortex with stronger outer winds favored the development of more active spiral rainbands outside the outer eyewall,which slowed down the contraction and intensification of the outer eyewall and thus prolonged the duration of the concentric eyewall and slow intensity *** contrast,the initially smaller TC with weaker outer winds corresponded to higher inertial stability in the inner core and weaker inertial stability but stronger filamentation outside the outer *** led to stronger boundary layer inflow,stronger updraft and convection in the outer eyewall,and suppressed convective activity outside the outer *** resulted in the rapid weakening during the formation of the outer eyewall,followed by a rapid re-intensification of the TC during the *** study demonstrates that accurate initialization of the TC structure in numerical models is crucial for predicting changes in TC intensity during the ***,monitoring the activity of spiral rainbands outside the outer eyewall can help to improve short-term intensity forecasts for TCs experiencing ERCs.

The use of trichlorphon in large quantities causes a large number of organic pollutants to enter water, sediments, and soils. Phyllosilicate minerals are considered effective adsorbents for organic pollutants. However, the adsorption behavior of organic pollutants on soil minerals affected by low-molecular-weight organic acids(LMWOAs) is not fully understood. In this study, the effect of LMWOAs on the adsorption behavior of trichlorphon on phyllosilicate minerals was investigated using a combination of adsorption measurements and molecular spectroscopic techniques(attenuated total reflection-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)). The adsorption of trichlorphon onto kaolinite(KAO) and montmorillonite(MON) was suppressed by increasing pH, indicating that electrostatic interaction played a key role in adsorption, especially at low pH. In the presence of citric acid(CA), there was an obvious promotion of trichlorphon adsorption on KAO and MON. In the presence of oxalic acid(OA), the adsorption of trichlorphon on KAO was promoted, whereas the adsorption on MON was inhibited, especially at pH 4.0. The presence of CA and OA increased the adsorption by increasing the exposure of hydrophobic sites of KAO and MON. The results from ATR-FTIR and XPS also indicated that the hydrophobic Si–O sites of phyllosilicate minerals were the preferred adsorption sites for trichlorphon in the presence of CA and OA, probably driven by the hydrophobic effect. However, the weak effect of OA on MON caused an increase in the electrostatic repulsion between MON and trichlorphon molecules, thus inhibiting adsorption. This study is significant for a deeper understanding of self-purification of soil and sediment systems in the presence of organic pollutants.

Rechargeable batteries currently hold the largest share of the electrochemical energy storage market,and they play a major role in the sustainable energy transition and industrial decarbonization to respond to global climate *** to the increased popularity of consumer electronics and electric vehicles,lithium-ion batteries have quickly become the most successful rechargeable batteries in the past three decades,yet growing demands in diversified application scenarios call for new types of rechargeable *** efforts are made to developing the next-generation post-Li-ion rechargeable batteries,which include,but are not limited to solid-state batteries,lithium–sulfur batteries,sodium-/potassium-ion batteries,organic batteries,magnesium-/zinc-ion batteries,aqueous batteries and flow *** the great achievements,challenges persist in precise understandings about the electrochemical reaction and charge transfer process,and optimal design of key materials and interfaces in a *** roadmap tends to provide an overview about the current research progress,key challenges and future prospects of various types of rechargeable *** computational methods for materials development,and characterization techniques will also be discussed as they play an important role in battery research.

Hydrological setting of infertile species-rich wetland——a case study in the warm temperate Japan

The detailed groundwater flow and water chemistry to illustrate landscape structure of the infertile peatless mire by using piezometers and groundwater wells were measured. The instruments were installed in lines through a small spring-fed wetland underlying little peat from the hillslope to the valley bottom in southwestern Japan. Flow net and EC data clearly indicated that the wetland was situated in a high-EC groundwater upspring area. The low-productivity graminous vegetation was related with four hydrological factors such as: (1) high water level; (2) low-EC(<25 micro S/cm) groundwater; (3) weakly upward hydraulic gradient; and (4) overflowing of negatively pressured groundwater. In other words, the “old or deep groundwater” constructed the foundation of slope-wetland, and maintained the high groundwater level. In contrast, overflowing “youthful groundwater” is supplied from head of slope-wetland preferentially through the shallow substratum. The plant communities of the peatless mire in southwestern Japan are similar to those of raised bog in northern cool temperate Japan. There have been some reports verifying that the underlying mineral substrata of such wetlands were quartzile rocks such as granite, rhyolite, chart and well-leached sand. Results showed (1) low cation availability affects the water acidity; (2) upward seepage of high-EC groundwater composed the foundation of the investigated peatless mire; and (3) the poor mineral condition seems to play a similar role to northern ombrotrophic(rain-fed) condition.

Goji berry is a famous edible and medicinal substance around the world. In this research， 15 phenylpropionyl phenylethylamine derivatives (1-15)， including one new compound (1)， were separated and identified from goji berry. All isolates were elucidated via extensive NMR spectral analyses and chemical techniques. Six known isolates were first obtained from Lycium genus. Six isolates were effectively split into double chromatographic peaks accompanied by the basically identical areas， indicating they belong to racemates. The ORAC experiment indicated that all isolates displayed a capacity of scavenging free radicals， and most of them exhibited higher ORAC values than EGCG. In ethanol/palmitic acid (PA)-established in vitro hepatocyte injury model， four phenylpropionyl phenylethylamine derivatives (1， 2， 9， and 15) significantly alleviated hepatocyte injury， among which compound 1 exerted the strongest protective activity. Notably， the hepatoprotective effect of compound 1 was further confirmed in ethanol-established liver damage mouse model， reflected by the reduction of lipid accumulation and the attenuation of pathological alteration. Combined with the in vitro results， the in vivo observations suggested that compound 1 suppressed cell apoptosis and the outburst of inflammation. Our findings provided first-hand evidence proving that goji berry-derived phenylpropionyl phenylethylamine derivatives hold a potential in treating alcoholic liver disease.
