Chlorella pyrenoidosa(Chlorophyceae)is widely cultured for production of health food and animal *** outdoors,mass cultivation of *** often suffers from high temperature.A better understanding of the effects of high temperature on photosynthesis and photoprotection can help optimize the productivity *** *** this study,we investigated effect of high temperature(35,38,or 41℃)on the balance between photosynthetic light absorption and energy utilization of *** contrast to 30℃,higher temperature of 35 or 38℃did not inhibit the growth of *** in 35℃maintained the ***,the PSI acceptor side in 38℃was over-reduced and PSII reaction centers were over-excited under strong light,which destroyed the balance and generated active oxygen species(AOS).However,the activated antioxidant enzymes might remove completely the over-production of AOS,thereby protect *** cells from *** shows that this *** strain could tolerate as high as 38℃.Furthermore,treatment in 41℃resulted in more lack of the balance than that in 38℃.However,the activities of antioxidant enzymes stopped increasing in 41℃,and were not strong enough to remove the excess ***,treatment in 41℃could decrease the growth *** addition,strong and longtime light exposure would cause serious photodamage to *** cells.

Three-dimensional(3D)graphene is a promising active component for various engineering fields,but its performance is limited by the hidebound electrical conductivity levels and hindered electrical *** we present a novel approach based on interlayer engineering,in which graphene oxide(GO)nanosheets are covalently functionalized with varied molecular lengths of diamine *** has led to the creation of an unprecedented class of 3D graphene with highly adjustable electronic *** calculations and experimental results demonstrate that ethylenediamine,with its small diameter acting as a molecular bridge for facilitating electron transport,has the potential to significantly improve the electrical conductivity of 3D *** contrast,butylene diamine,with its larger diameter,has a reverse effect due to the enlarged spacing of the graphene interlayers,resulting in conductive *** importantly,the moderate conductive level of 3D graphene can be achieved by combining the interlayer spacing expansion effect and theπ-electronic donor ability of aromatic *** resulting 3D graphene exhibits highly tunable electronic properties,which can be easily adjusted in a wide range of 2.56-6.61 S·cm^(-1)compared to pristine GO foam(4.20 S·cm^(-1)).This opens up new possibilities for its use as an active material in a piezoresistive sensor,as it offers remarkable monitoring abilities.

BACKGROUND： Vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） induces bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell （BMSC） differentiation into vascular endothelial-like cells and promotes BMSC migration toward gliomas. However, the molecular mechanisms by which VEGF induces BMSC differentiation and migration remain poorly understood. OBJECTIVE; To investigate the role of platelet-derived growth factor （PDGF） receptor （PDGFR） in BMSC differentiation and migration induced by VEGE DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： A parallel, controlled, in vitro experiment was performed at the Molecular Neurobiology ＆ Neural Regeneration and Repairing Laboratory, Anhui Provincial Hospital of Anhui Medical University, China from June 2008 to March 2009. MATERIALS： U87 glioma cells were purchased from Shanghai institutes for Biological sciences; mouse anti-human PDGFR and VEGF receptor （VEGFR） monoclonal antibodies were purchased from Peprotech, USA. METHODS： Isolated BMSCs were precultured with neutralizing antibody for VEGFR-1, VEGFR-2, PDGFR-α, and PDGFR-β to block biological activity of related receptors, followed by induced differentiation with 50μg/L VEGF. BMSCs induced with 50μg/L VEGF alone served as the VEGF-induced group. The control group remained untreated. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： Cell surface markers were identified by flow cytometry; BMSC surface cytokine receptor expression was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction; the Transwell model was used to observe cell migration. RESULTS： After blocking the PDGFR, VEGF did not induce BMSC cell surface marker CD-31 or von Willebrand factor （vWF） expression. However, inhibition with VEGF receptor blocking agents, VEGF induced BMSCs to express CD-31 and vWE Following inhibition of the PDGFR, the number of cells migrating through the polycarbonate membrane Transwell chamber was decreased, as well as the number of BMSCs migrating to glioma cells. The development and evolution of precipitation microphysical parameters and the vertical structure characteristics associated with Typhoon Yagi(201814)are analyzed in the city of Jinan,Shandong province based primarily on the observations of a micro rain radar(MRR),a cloud radar,and a *** precipitation process is further subdivided into four types:convective,stratiform,mixed,and light precipitation according to the ground disdrometer data,which is in agreement with the vertical profile of the radar reflectivity detected by the *** winds may be the main source of MRR retrieval error during convective *** precipitation has the shortest duration but makes the largest contribution to the cumulative ***-coalescence is the main microphysical process of stratiform precipitation and light precipitation below the bright band observed by the *** is worth noting that as Typhoon Yagi(201814)transformed into an extratropical cyclone,its raindrop size distributions no longer had the characteristics of maritime precipitation,but become more typical of the characteristic of continental precipitation,which represents a very different raindrop size distribution from that which is normally observed in a landfalling typhoon.

Being constructed in southwestern China, the Sichuan–Tibet Railway(STR) travels across the eastern Tibetan Plateau where there is the most complex terrain and changeable weather in the world. Due to sparse ground-based observations over the Tibetan Plateau, precipitation products retrieved by remote sensing are more widely used;however,satellite-based precipitation products(SPPs) have not yet been strictly and systematically evaluated along the *** study aims to evaluate the performance of six SPPs by a series of metrics with available ground observations along the STR during 1998–2020. The six SPPs include the datasets derived from the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission(TRMM), Climate Prediction Center morphing technique(CMORPH), Global Precipitation Measurement(GPM), Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation(GSMaP), Precipitation Estimation from Remotely Sensed Information Using Artificial Neural Networks(PERSIANN), and Fengyun-2 satellites precipitation estimate(FY2PRE). The results indicate that most of the SPPs can capture the precipitation characteristics on multiple timescales(monthly,daily, hourly, and diurnal cycle) as shown by the evaluated metrics. The probability density functions of the daily and hourly precipitation are also well represented by the SPPs, and 30 mm day^(-1) and 16 mm h^(-1) are identified as the daily and hourly thresholds of extreme precipitation events along the STR. The best SPP varies at different timescales:GPM and GSMaP are suitable for the monthly and daily scale, and FY2PRE and GPM are suited to the hourly *** general, GPM is relatively optimum on multiple timescales, and PERSIANN gives the worst performance. In addition, the SPPs perform worse at higher altitudes and for more intense precipitation. Overall, the results from this study are expected to provide essential reference for using the SPPs in meteorological services and disaster prevention in the STR construction and its future operation.

An algorithm is proposed to enhance the resolution of digital holography by retrieving the frequency components lost in common holograms.A pinhole is placed directly behind the specimen to record the hologram,and an iterative scheme commonly used in coherent diffraction imaging is adopted for the *** some of the frequency components lost in common digital holography can be properly retrieved,the resolution of the reconstructed image is remarkably *** analysis and computer simulations are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of this proposed technique.

A Seismically Triggered Landslide in the Niujuan Valley near the Epicenter of the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake

The Wenchuan （汶川） earthquake on 12 May 2008 induced a large number of landslides, collapses, and rockfalls along the Longmenshan （龙门山） fault. The landslide in Niujnau （牛圈） Valley （named Niujuan landslide）, close to the epicenter, is one that travelled a long distance with damaging consequences. Using QuickBird satellite images and GIS tools, the seismogenic mass movements are analyzed, and the movement phases, travel path, and post-catastrophic processes of Niujuan landslide are described and discussed. Image interpretation and a GPS survey showed that the mass movements denuded 37% of the research area. The Niujuan landslide moved 1 950 m along the Lianhuaxingou （莲花心沟） stream, transformed to a debris avalanche, and accumulated in the downstream bed of Niujuan Valley, where they formed a dam 30 m in height, blocking the Niujuan stream and creating a barrier lake basin with 0.11 million m3 storage capacity. Subsequent to the Ninjuan landslide, debris flowshave been more active in Lianhuaxingou and Niujuan valleys because of the accumulated mass of debris.
