In this study,we conduct a thorough evaluation of the STGSA-generated skeletal mechanism for C_(2)H_4/*** STGSA-reduced mechanisms are taken into account,incorporating basic combustion models such as the homogeneous reactor model,one-dimensional flat premixed flame,and non-premixed counterflow ***,these models are applied to more complex combustion systems,considering factors like flame-flow interaction and flame-wall *** considerations take into account additional physical parameters and processes such as mixing frequency and *** results indicate that the skeletal mechanism adeptly captures the behavior of these complex combustion ***,it is suggested to incorporate strain rate considerations in generating the skeletal mechanism,especially when the combustion system operates under high turbulent intensity.

Recently a low cost cooking device for developing and emerging countries was developed at KIT in cooperation with the company Bosch und Siemens Hausger^ite GmbH. After constructing an innovative basic design further development was required. Numerical investigations were conducted in order to investigate the flow inside the combustion chamber of the stove under variation of different geometrical parameters. Beyond the performance improvement a further reason of the investigations was to rate the effects of manufacturing tolerance problems. In this paper the numerical investigation of a plant oil stove by means of RANS simulation will be presented. In or- der to reduce the computational costs different model reduction steps were necessary. The simulation results of the basic configuration compare very well with experimental measurements and problematic behaviors of the ac- tual stove design could be explained by the investigation.

This work investigated the degradation of tin – based gas-diffusion electrodes (GDE) and also a promising Bi2O3 GDE in electrochemical CO_(2) reduction in highly alkaline media which has not been studied before. The contributions of the electrode wetting (or flooding, if excessively) and catalyst leaching on the degradation were analyzed. Therefore, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used to monitor the wetted surface area of the GDE in combination with post-mortem analysis of the penetration depth by visualizing the electrolyte’s cation in the GDE cross-section. Furthermore, to reveal a possible degradation of the electrocatalyst, its distribution was mapped in the GDEs cross-section after operation while the catholyte was additionally analyzed via ICP-MS. The results clearly demonstrate that the SnO_(2) catalyst dissolves in the reaction zone inside the GDE and might be partially redeposited near the GDEs surface. Since the redeposition process occurs only partially a steady loss of catalyst was observed impeding a clear distinction of the two degradation phenomena. Nevertheless, the deterioration of the electrode performance measured as faraday efficiency (FE) of the parasitic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) qualitatively correlates with the differential double layer capacitance (Cdl). A significant difference of the rate of increase for the hydrogen FE and Cdl can be ascribed to the superposition of both above-mentioned degradation mechanisms. The demonstrated instability of SnO_(2) contrasts with the behavior of Bi2O3 GDE which is stabilized during CO_(2) conversion by redeposition of the diluted dissolved species as metallic Bi which is active for the CO_(2) reduction reaction.

Certain amino acids changes in the human Na^(+)/K^(+)-ATPase pump,ATPase Na^(+)/K^(+)transporting subunit alpha 1(ATP1A1),cause Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2(CMT2)disease and refractory *** develop in vivo models to study the role of Na^(+)/K^(+)-ATPase in these diseases,we modified the Drosophila gene homolog,Atpα,to mimic the human ATP1A1 gene mutations that cause *** located within the helical linker region of human ATP1A1(I592T,A597T,P600T,and D601F)were simultaneously introduced into endogenous Drosophila Atpαby CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing,generating the Atpα^(TTTF)*** addition,the same strategy was used to generate the corresponding single point mutations in flies(Atpα^(I571T),Atpα^(A576T),Atpα^(P579T),and Atpα^(D580F)).Moreover,a deletion mutation(Atpα^(mut))that causes premature termination of translation was generated as a positive *** these alleles,we found two that could be maintained as homozygotes(Atpα^(I571T)and Atpα^(P579T)).Three alleles(Atpα^(A576T),Atpα^(P579)and Atpα^(D580F))can form heterozygotes with the Atpαmut *** found that the Atpαallele carrying these CMT2-associated mutations showed differential phenotypes in *** heterozygous for Atpα^(TTTF)mutations have motor performance defects,a reduced lifespan,seizures,and an abnormal neuronal *** Drosophila models will provide a new platform for studying the function and regulation of the sodium-potassium pump.

Classical transonic hodograph-based design methods are employed and revitalized using modern numerical tools to illustrate the design of a symmetrical accelerating-decelerating nozzle throat design. The concept of Elliptic Continuation is applied to solve transonic boundary value problems avoiding the inherently nonlinear nature of the basic equations and obtaining transonic flow examples using the Method of Characteristics in an inverse mode. Purpose of the present paper, besides describing a new special flow example, is to keep these classical methods alive for education of a new generation of creative engineers.

A diode-pumped alkali vapor laser(DPAL) is one of the most promising candidates of the next-generation high-powered laser source. As the saturated number density of alkali vapor is highly dependent on the temperature inside a vapor cell,the temperature distribution in the cross-section of a cell will greatly affect the homogeneity of a laser medium and the output characteristics of a DPAL. In this paper, we developed an algorithm based on the regime concluding quasi-Hilbert transform to evaluate the phase aberration of a wavefront when the probe beam passes through the vapor cell placed in one arm of a Mach–Zehnder interference setup. According to the theoretical algorithm, we deduced the temperature distribution of a cesium vapor cell for different heating conditions. The study is thought to be useful for development of a high-powered laser.

A diode-pumped alkali laser(DPAL) provides the significant promise for high-powered performances. In this paper, a mathematical model is introduced for examination of the kinetic processes of a diode-pumped cesium vapor hollow-core photonic-crystal fiber(HC-PCF) laser, in which the cesium vapor is filled in the center hole of a photonic-bandgap fiber instead of a glass cell. The influence of deleterious processes including energy pooling, photo-ionization, and Penning ionization on the physical features of a fiber DPAL is studied in this report. It has been theoretically demonstrated that the deleterious processes cannot be ignored in a high-powered fiber-DPAL system.

Keyword extraction by Term frequencyInverse document frequency(TF-IDF) is used for text information retrieval and mining in many domains, such as news text, social contact text, and medical ***, keyword extraction in special domains still needs to be improved and optimized, particularly in the scientific research field. The traditional TF-IDF algorithm considers only the word frequency in documents, but not the domain characteristics. Therefore, we propose the Scientific research project TF-IDF(SRP-TF-IDF) model,which combines TF-IDF with a weight balance algorithm designed to recalculate candidate keywords. We have implemented the SRP-TF-IDF model and verified that our method has better precision, recall, and F1 score than the traditional TF-IDF and TextRank methods. In addition, we investigated the parameter of our weight balance algorithm to find an optimal value for keyword extraction from scientific research projects.

To solve Multimodal optimization problems(MOPs), a Novel Quantum entanglement-inspired meta-heuristic framework(NMF-QE) is proposed. Its main inspirations are two concepts of quantum physics:quantum entanglement and quantum superposition. When given Proto-born particles(PBPs) of a population, these two concepts are mathematically developed to generate twin-born and combination-born particles, *** if any elite-born particles would be created by a local re-searching strategy. These three or four groups of particles come together as a whole search population of NMF-QE to realize exploration and exploitation of algorithms. To guarantee dynamical optimization capability of NMF-QE, the individual evolutionary mechanism of some existing meta-heuristics will be adopted to iteratively create PBPs. A selected meta-heuristic is coupled with NMF-QE to present its improved variant. Numerical results show that the proposed NMF-QE can effectively improve optimization performance of meta-heuristics on MOPs.
