Glycosylation is a process that involves the addition of sugar moieties or glycans to different types of molecules,including proteins,lipids,and nucleic *** these,protein glycosylation is one of the most prevalent forms of post-translational modification,playing a crucial role in biological *** more than ten monosaccharides identified within mammalian brain cells and more than 1×1012 possible combinations,the heterogeneity of glycosylation is extensive(Conroy et al.,2021).The diversity of glycans and the complexity of their structures allow for a wide range of protein functions.N-glycans are one of the most abundant forms of glycans and are involved in various cellular functions.N-glycans can be added to proteins at specific sequons,Asn-X-Ser/Thr,and are classified into three main types in mature glycoproteins:high mannose,complex,and *** mannose N-glycans consist of 5-9 mannose residues linked to a chitobiose core and undergo processing into complex or hybrid forms in the Golgi apparatus(Varki et al.,2017).Complex N-glycans are more diverse and contain various branched structures such as antennae with fucose,galactose,and sialic acid *** N-glycans contain one or more complex branches in conjunction with an oligomannose branch(Fisher and Ungar,2016).Understanding the specific functions of these different types of N-glycans in protein regulation,folding,and function is an active area of research in the life sciences,including glycobiology.

Eremurus was described at the beginning of the 19th ***,due to limited sampling and the small number of gene markers to date,its phylogeny and evolution are largely *** this study,we analyzed plastomes from 27 species belonging to 2 subgenera and 3 sections of Eremurus,which are found in Central asia(its center of diversity)and *** also analyzed nuclear DNA ITS of 33 species,encompassing all subgenera and sections of the genus in Central asia,southwest asia and *** findings revealed that the genus was monophyletic,although both subgenera Eremurus and Henningia were found to be *** plastome and nrDNA-based phylogenetic trees had three clades that did not reflect the current taxonomy of the *** biogeographical and time-calibrated trees suggest that Eremurus originated in the ancient Tethyan area in the second half of the *** of Eremurus occurred from the early Oligocene to the late *** Sea retreat and several orogenetic events,such as the progressive uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and surrounding mountain belts(Altai,Pamir,Tian Shan),caused serious topographic and climate(aridification)changes in Central asia that may have triggered a split of clades and *** this transformed Central asia,speciation proceeded rapidly driven mainly by vicariance caused by numerous mountain chains and specialization to a variety of climatic,topographic and soil conditions that exist in this region.

Wildfires are major disturbances in permafrost ecosystems, with increasing frequency and intensity in recent years. In permafrost regions, wildfires not only burn surface and subsurface organic matter but also accelerate permafrost thawing,releasing significant amounts of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere. However, the contribution of high-latitude permafrost regions in the Northern Hemisphere to global wildfire carbon emissions remains poorly understood. This study integrates remote sensing data and ground observations to analyze the contributions of aboveground and belowground fuel combustion in high-latitude permafrost regions to global wildfire carbon emissions from 2002 to 2020, as well as the spatiotemporal variations in these contributions. Our findings indicate that permafrost regions contribute approximately11.96% of global wildfire carbon emissions, with aboveground emissions accounting for approximately 3.94% of global aboveground emissions and belowground emissions contributing approximately 63.57% of global belowground emissions. The contribution of high-latitude permafrost regions to global emissions peaked in July and August, whereas the continuous permafrost zones(areas with more than 90% permafrost coverage) showed the most significant increase in June and July. The contributions of both aboveground and belowground emissions from high-latitude permafrost regions to global wildfire emissions have been increasing, primarily due to the reduction in global wildfire emissions, in contrast with the rising emissions from wildfires in high-latitude permafrost regions. This study highlights the significant role of wildfires, particularly the combustion of belowground biomass in high-latitude permafrost regions, in global carbon emissions. The decomposition and combustion of organic carbon in permafrost regions due to wildfires release more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, potentially amplifying the positive feedback

Tungsten-based materials are one of the most important candidates for the plasma facing materials（PFMs） of future fusion reactors,and it is necessary to study the properties of tungsten-based materials under the service conditions of fusion devices to ensure the long-term steady-state operation of future fusion *** this paper,different tungsten-based materials made by the same rotary swaging process are selected to simulate the transient thermal loads on the PFMs of a fusion reactor using an electron beam,and thermal load experiments are carried out by changing the power density of a loading pulse and the pulse *** is found that different tungsten-based materials made by the same process have large differences in thermal shock resistance,and the doped tungsten materials（W-K and W-La2O3） are significantly better than the pure tungsten materials with the increase in thermal shock power density and the number of cycles,especially the W-K materials,which have excellent performance.

When facilitating other species and sustaining plant community structures and biodiversity,alpine cushion plants simultaneously experience negative feedback effects from surrounding ***,the impact of surrounding vegetation on cushion dynamics remains poorly understood,particularly in terms of allelopathic *** investigate the allelopathic potentials of surrounding vegetation on seedling establishment of the typical cushion plant Arenaria polytrichoides *** an elevational gradient,we extracted potential allelopathic compounds and tested their impacts on seed germination and seedling growth of *** addition,exclusion experiments using activated carbon were conducted to further elucidate these *** results demonstrate that surrounding vegetation exhibits certain allelopathic potentials on *** seedling establishment,with variations observed based on elevation,source and concentration of allelopathy compounds,as well as growing ***,low-elevation vegetation exerts pronounced suppression on seedling ***,higher-elevation vegetation generally shows no effect on seed germination but stimulates seedling growth through allelopathy ***,aboveground vegetation predominantly inhibits both seed germination and seedling growth in low-elevation communities;however,the effects of belowground vegetation depend on elevation and extract concentration *** identifed allelopathic potentials of surrounding vegetation signifcantly infuence the population dynamics of cushion *** by potentially accelerating population degeneration in lower-elevation communities while ensuring consistent population recruitment and expansion in higher-elevation communities.

Additive friction stir deposition(AFSD)is a novel structural repair and manufacturing technology has become a research hotspot at home and abroad in the past five *** this work,the microstructural evolution and mechanical performance of the Al-Mg-Si alloy plate repaired by the preheating-assisted AFSD process were *** evaluate the tool rotation speed and substrate preheating for repair quality,the AFSD technique was used to additively repair 5 mm depth blind holes on 6061 aluminum alloy *** results showed that preheat-assisted AFSD repair significantly improved joint bonding and joint strength compared to the control non-preheat substrate ***,increasing rotation speed was also beneficial to improve the metallurgical bonding of the interface and avoid volume *** preheating conditions,the UTS and elongation were positively correlated with rotation *** the process parameters of preheated substrate and tool rotation speed of 1000 r/min,defect-free specimens could be obtained accompanied by tensile fracture occurring in the substrate rather than the repaired *** UTS and elongation reached the maximum values of 164.2MPa and 13.4%,which are equivalent to 99.4%and 140%of the heated substrate,respectively.

It is crucial to prepare high-mobility organic polycrystalline film through solution ***,the delocalized carrier transport of polycrystalline films in organic semiconductors has rarely been investigated through Hall-effect *** study presents a strategy for building strong intermolecular interactions to fabricate solution-crystallized p-type perylene diimide（PDI） dianion films with a closer intermolecular π-π stacking distance of 3.25 ?.The highly delocalized carriers enable a competitive Hall mobility of 3 cm2V-1s-1,comparable to that of the reported high-mobility organic single *** PDI dianion films exhibit a high electrical conductivity of 17 S cm-1and typical band-like transport,as evidenced by the negative temperature linear coefficient of mobility proportional to T-3/*** work demonstrates that,as the intermolecular π-π interactions become strong enough,they will display high mobility and conductivity,providing a new approach to developing high-mobility organic semiconductor materials.
