Non-destructive electroluminescence inspection for LED epitaxial wafers based on soft single-contact operation

Non-destructive and accurate inspection of gallium nitride light-emitting diode(Ga N-LED) epitaxial wafers is important to Ga N-LED technology. However, the conventional electroluminescence inspection, the photoluminescence inspection, and the automated optical inspection cannot fulfill the complex technical requirements. In this work, an inspection method and an operation system based on soft single-contact operation, namely, single-contact electroluminescence(SC-EL) inspection, are proposed. The key component of the SC-EL inspection system is a soft conductive probe with an optical fiber inside, and an AC voltage(70Vpp, 100 k Hz) is applied between the probe and the ITO electrode under the LED epitaxial wafer. The proposed SC-EL inspection can measure both the electrical and optical parameters of the LED epitaxial wafer at the same time, while not causing mechanical damage to the LED epitaxial wafer. Moreover, it is demonstrated that the SC-EL inspection has a higher electroluminescence wavelength accuracy than photoluminescence inspection. The results show that the non-uniformity of SC-EL inspection is 444.64%, which is much lower than that of photoluminescence inspection. In addition, the obtained electrical parameters from SC-EL can reflect the reverse leakage current(Is) level of the LED epitaxial wafer. The proposed SC-EL inspection can ensure high inspection accuracy without causing damage to the LED epitaxial wafer, which holds promising application in LED technology.

Study on the force chain characteristics with coal dust layer and the three-body contact stiffness

To explore the influence of the meso-mechanical behaviors of the wet coal dust layers on the contact stiffness of mechanical bonding surfaces,a three-body contact model incorporating an interface with wet coal dust was constructed based on breakage *** model considered the mechanical surface morphology and contact characteristics of the wet coal *** force chain evolution laws of the wet coal dust layer were elucidated under the effects of gap filling and the cover layer,and the bearing characteristics of the three-body contact bonding surfaces were revealed by quantitative analyses of the number,length,collimation coefficient,and coordination number of the force chains within the wet coal dust ***,the three-body normal contact stiffness under various preload forces was computed and experimentally *** results demonstrate that the external load transfer path of the three-body contact bonding surfaces was from mechanical surface(macroscopic stress)to wet coal dust layer(mesoscopic force chains)and then to mechanical surface(peaks and valleys).The interactions among these three elements contributed to transforming the distributions of the macroscopic stresses and mesoscopic force chains to the locations at the peaks and valleys of the mechanical *** them,the proportion of short force chains in the wet coal dust layer increased from approximately 0.8%–91%,while the proportion of long force chains exhibited an opposite changing *** force chain collimation coefficient initially increased and subsequently stabilized,reaching a maximum value of 0.93.A large number of broken,small particles in the wet coal dust layer mainly served to fill the gaps among large *** maximum relative error between the experimental and simulated values on the three-body contact stiffness is 7.26%,indicating that the simulation results can be an approximate substitute for the experimental results with a certain degree of accuracy and practic

Passive IoT Localization Technology Based on SD-PDOA in NLOS and Multi-Path Environments

Addressing the challenges of passive Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)indoor localization technology in Non-Line-of-Sight(NLoS)and multipath environments,this paper presents an innovative approach by introducing a combined technology integrating an improved Kalman Filter with Space Domain Phase Difference of Arrival(SD-PDOA)and Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI).This methodology utilizes the distinct channel characteristics in multipath and NLoS contexts to effectively filter out interference and accurately extract localization information,thereby facilitating high precision and stability in passive RFID *** efficacy of this approach is demonstrated through detailed simulations and empirical tests conducted on a custom-built experimental platform consisting of passive RFID tags and an R420 *** findings are significant:in NLoS conditions,the four-antenna localization system achieved a notable localization accuracy of 0.25 m at a distance of 5 *** complex multipath environments,this system achieved a localization accuracy of approximately 0.5 m at a distance of 5 *** compared to conventional passive localization methods,our proposed solution exhibits a substantial improvement in indoor localization accuracy under NLoS and multipath *** research provides a robust and effective technical solution for high-precision passive indoor localization in the Internet of Things(IoT)system,marking a significant advancement in the field.

Automatic road extraction framework based on codec network

Road extraction based on deep learning is one of hot spots of semantic segmentation in the past *** this work,we proposed a framework based on codec network for automatic road extraction from remote sensing ***,a pre-trained ResNet34 was migrated to U-Net and its encoding structure was replaced to deepen the number of network layers,which reduces the error rate of road segmentation and the loss of ***,dilated convolution was used to connect the encoder and the decoder of network to expand the receptive field and retain more low-dimensional information of the ***,the channel attention mechanism was used to select the information of the feature image obtained by up-sampling of the encoder,the weights of target features were optimized to enhance the features of target region and suppress the features of background and noise regions,and thus the feature extraction effect of the remote sensing image with complex background was ***,an adaptive sigmoid loss function was proposed,which optimizes the imbalance between the road and the background,and makes the model reach the optimal *** results show that compared with several semantic segmentation networks,the proposed method can greatly reduce the error rate of road segmentation and effectively improve the accuracy of road extraction from remote sensing images.

The advancement of integrated optical communication networks necessitates the deployment of on-chip beam splitters for efficient signal interconnections at network ***,the pursuit of micron-scale beam splitting with large corners and reducing the device footprint to boost connection flexibility often results in phase *** mismatches,which stem from radiation modes and backward scattering,pose significant obstacles in creating highly integrated and interference-resistant *** address this,we introduce a solution based on the topological valley-contrasting state generated by photonic crystals with opposing valley Chern numbers,manifested in a harpoon-shaped structure designed to steer the splitting *** approach enables adiabatic mode field evolution over large corners,capitalizing on the robust phase modulation capabilities and topological protection provided by the subwavelength-scale valley-contrasting *** demonstration reveals that beam splitters with large corners of 60°,90°,and 120°exhibit insertion loss fluctuations below 2.7 dB while maintaining a minimal footprint of 8.8μm×8.8μ*** a practical demonstration,these devices facilitate three-channel signal connections,successfully transmitting quadrature phase shift keying signals at 3.66 Tbit/s with bit error rates below the forward error correction threshold,demonstrating performance comparable to that in defects *** harnessing the unidirectional excitation feature,we anticipate significant enhancements in the capabilities of signal distribution and connection networks through a daisy chain configuration.

The chimera states underlying many realistic dynamical processes have attracted ample attention in the area of dynamical ***, we generalize the Kuramoto model with nonlocal coupling incorporating higher-order interactions encoded with simplicial *** works have shown that higher-order interactions promote coherent ***, we uncover the fact that the introduced higher-order couplings can significantly enhance the emergence of the incoherent ***, we identify that the chimera states arise as a result of multi-attractors in dynamic ***, we review that the increasing higher-order interactions can significantly shape the emergent probability of chimera *** the observed results can be well described in terms of the dimension reduction *** study is a step forward in highlighting the importance of nonlocal higher-order couplings, which might provide control strategies for the occurrence of spatial-temporal patterns in networked systems.
