Polder is a type of irrigation field unique to the lower Yangtze River of *** is a product of long-term and ingenuous human modifications of wetland *** the pre-Qin Period,3000 years ago,the poldered area of eastern Wuhu city was once a large lake called the ancient Danyang *** introduction of agricultural civilization and polder technology to the area during the Wu and Yue Kingdoms period gradually transformed it into an agricultural *** an accelerating rate of land reclamation under a changing late-Holocene regional climate,the ancient Danyang wetland became an aquatic system strongly influenced by intensifying anthropogenic *** this study,based on field survey data,historical documents,and remote-sensing and archaeological data,we reconstructed the spatial distribution of the polder landscape over the last 3000 years and identified their structural *** found that polder landscapes began to emerge in the Spring and Autumn Period,land reclamation intensified in the Three Kingdoms and developed rapidly in the Song Dynasty before eventually reaching the peak from the Ming and Qing *** relocation of historical sites to low-altitude areas also marked the expansion of poldered fields from the center of the wetland to the southeast and *** development and evolution of the polder landscape are related to regional climate conditions,changing social and economic statuses,and the development of agricultural technology in the Song Dynasty and succeeding periods.

Composition， Distribution and Constraint Factors of Fe Isotope(δFe) in the Surface Soils of the Tibetan Plateau

Iron isotopes， represented by δ56Fe， serve as valuable tools for constraining the surface iron processes and as potent tracers for studying the biogeochemical cycle of iron. Nevertheless， our comprehension of iron isotopes in the land surface processes of the Tibetan Plateau （TP） remains limited. In this study， we present the results of iron isotopic composition (δ56Fe) in the surface soils of the TP， encompassing both glacial and non-glacial regions characterized by rugged and flat topographies. Our findings reveal that soil δ56Fe values ranged from -0.01±0.05‰ to 0.14±0.01‰， with the highest values observed in eastern locations （0.14‰） and the lowest appeared in the northeast （-0.1‰）. On a global scale， the δ56Fe values observed in Tibetan soils exhibited relatively small variability compared to reservoirs marked by significant iron isotope fractionation. By contrast， the range of TP soils measured here was slightly larger than that of the Chinese Loess. Furthermore， we discerned noticeable spatial variations in δ56Fe across the large-scale region of TP， indicating a gradual increase trend from the northeast to the south and from the west to the east. These regional disparities in δ56Fe likely arise from a combination of constraining factors， including differences in mineralogy， lithological variations， organic matter content， and variations in chemical weathering intensity. This study is pivotal in advancing our understanding of land surface iron isotope δ56Fe dynamics and its role in the biogeochemical cycle within the TP region.

The objective of this study consisted of evaluating the effect of the application of chitosan(Q),1-methylcyclopropene(1-MCP)under two controlled temperatures on some physical,physiological,and chemical parameters contributing to the quality of Persian lime Citrus latifolia *** treatments were evaluated,resulting from the combination of four senescence retardant applications(Q,1-MCP,1-MCP+Q,and without application)on fruits stored at two temperatures(12/20℃.Epidermis color(luminosity,chromaticity,and hue),fruit appearance,respiration,weight loss,total juice content,total soluble solids,and titratable acidity were registered during the *** results indicate that the 1-MCP and Q combination favored fruit postharvest quality conditions such as reducing respiration rate;maintaining fruit good appearance,turgidity,and brighter fruit chromaticity;fruits treated with chitosan and stored at 12℃,favored total soluble *** the other hand,Variables such as weight loss,juice content,acidity,phenols,flavonoids,antioxidant activity,and hue values were favored by a 12℃ storing temperature regardless of the *** general,the use of modified atmospheres,senescence retardants,and refrigeration as postharvest methods,can increase Persian lime shelf life.

Laparoscopic left hemihepatectomy guided by indocyanine green fluorescence: A cranial-dorsal approach

BACKGROUND Advancements in laparoscopic technology and a deeper understanding of intra-hepatic anatomy have led to the establishment of more precise laparoscopic hepatectomy(LH)*** indocyanine green(ICG)fluorescence navi-gation technique has emerged as the most effective method for identifying hepatic regions,potentially overcoming the limitations of *** laparoscopic left hemihepatectomy(LLH)is a standardized procedure,there is a need for innova-tive strategies to enhance its *** anatomical markers,surgical skills,and ICG staining *** Thirty-seven patients who underwent ICG fluorescence-guided LLH at Qujing Second People's Hospital between January 2019 and February 2022 were retrospectively *** cranial-dorsal approach was performed which involves dissecting the left hepatic vein cephalad,isolating the Arantius ligament,exposing the middle hepatic vein,and dissecting the parenchyma from the dorsal to the foot in order to complete the anatomical *** surgical methods,as well as intra-and post-surgical data,were recorded and *** hospital’s Medical Ethics Committee approved this study(Ethical review:2022-019-01).RESULTS Intraoperative blood loss during LLH was 335.68±99.869 mL and the rates of transfusion and conversion to laparotomy were 13.5%and 0%,*** overall incidence of complications throughout the follow-up(median of 18 months;range 1-36 months)was 21.6%.No mortality or severe complications(level IV)were *** LLH has the potential to become a novel,standardized approach that can effectively,safely,and simply expose the middle hepatic vein and meet the requirements of precision surgery.

Effects of impregnation sequence on the NH_(3)-SCR activity and hydrothermal stability of a Ce-Nb/SnO_(2) catalyst

Hydrothermal stability is crucial for the practical application of deNO_(x)catalyst on diesel vehicles,for the selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR).SnO_(2)-based materials possess superior hydrothermal stability,which is attractive for the development of NH_(3)-SCR *** this work,a series of Ce-Nb/SnO_(2)catalysts,with Ce and Nb loading on SnO_(2)support,were prepared by impregnation *** was found that,the NH_(3)-SCR activities and hydrothermal stabilities of the Ce-Nb/SnO_(2)catalysts significantly varied with the impregnation sequences,and the Ce-Nb(f)/SnO_(2) catalyst that firstly impregnated Nb and then impregnated Ce exhibited the best *** characterization results revealed that CeNb(f)/SnO_(2)possessed appropriate acidity and redox ***,the strong synergistic effect between Nb and Sn species stabilized the structure and maintained the dispersion of acid *** study may provide a new understanding for the effect of impregnation sequence on activity and hydrothermal stability and a new environmental-friendly NH_(3)-SCR catalyst with potential applications for NO_(x)removal from diesel and hydrogenfueled engines.
