Recent studies on the kagome lattice YCu_(3)(OH)_(6+x)X_(3-x)(X=Cl,Br)have provided promising evidence for the existence of Dirac quantum spin *** this study,we synthesized a new compound,LuCu_(3)(OH)_(6)Br_(2)[Br_(x)(OH)_(1-x)],which has two types of structures with two different space groups,P3m1 and *** type-Ⅰ sample with a space group of P3m1 had undistorted Cu^(2+)kagome planes and orders magnetically below approximately 1.5 *** type-Ⅱ sample had a larger unit cell with a space group of R3 and distorted kagome *** magnetic ordering was observed,and the low-temperature specific heat behaved like a Dirac quantum spin liquid,including a quadratic temperature dependence at zero field and an additional linear𝑇term under magnetic *** comparing the structures with those of YCu_(3)(OH)_(6+x)X_(3-x)(X=Cl,Br),we show that the quantum spin liquid ground state may have a deep connection with the𝐽J■-J-J′Heisenberg model in the kagome lattice.

Phosphorus-based anode is a promising anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)due to its high specific capacity,however,suffers from poor electronic conductivity and unfavorable electrochemical *** metals such as copper(Cu)into phosphorus has been demonstrated to not only improve the electronic conductivity but also accommodate the volume change during cycling,yet the underline sodiation mechanism is not ***,take a copper phosphide and reduced graphene oxide(CuP_(2)/C)composite as an example,which delivers a high reversible capacity of>900 mAh/***,it is revealed that the native oxidation PO_(x)components of the CuP_(2)/C composite show higher electrochemical reversibility than the bulk Cu P_(2),based on a quantitative analysis of high-resolution solid-state^(31)P NMR,ex-situ XPS and synchrotron X-ray diffraction characterization *** sodiation products Na_(3)PO_(4) and Na_(4)P_(2)O_(7) derived from PO_(x) could react with Na-P alloys and regenerate to PO_(x) during charge process,which probably accounts for the high reversible capacity of the Cu P_(2)/C *** findings also illustrate that the phosphorus transforms into nanocrystalline Na_(3)P and Na_(x)P alloys,which laterally shows crystallization-amorphization evolution process during cycling.

The A-site ordered perovskite oxides with chemical formula AA’BOdisplay many intriguing physical properties due to the introduction of transition metals at both A and B sites. Here, research on the recently discovered intermetallic charge transfer occurring between A-site Cu and B-site Fe ions in La CuFeOand its analogues is reviewed, along with work on the magnetoelectric multiferroicity observed in La MnCrOwith cubic perovskite structure. The Cu–Fe intermetallic charge transfer(LaCuFeO→ LaCuFeO) leads to a first-order isostructural phase transition accompanied by drastic variations in magnetism and electrical transport properties. The La MnCrOis a novel spindriven multiferroic system with strong magnetoelectric coupling effects. The compound is the first example of cubic perovskite multiferroics to be found. It opens up a new arena for studying unexpected multiferroic mechanisms.

This paper demonstrates the femtosecond time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering by using folded BOXCARS geometry where an ultrashort broadband coherent white light continuum was used as Stokes pulse, and carries out the non-contact detection at long distance, The CARS signal is so easy to be detected that it can be seen even by nude eye. The C-H bonds of chloroform or PMMA were detected and the vibration modes belonging to the side chain and the main chain in PMMA were also compared. Their vibrational characteristics involved decay process and quantum beating were discussed. This modified CARS experimental technique could make up the deficiency of traditional CARS technique.
