This study established a method for the simultaneous determination of 74 pesticide residues in panax notoginseng by QuEChERS pretreatment method coupled with GC-MS/MS,and carried out pesticide residue analysis on 20 batches of market samples in *** samples were extracted with acetonitrile,cleaned up with primary secondary amine(PSA)and octadecylsilane(C18)and determined by GC-MS/MS in multiple reaction monitoring(MRM)***-matched calibration was recommended to combat the matrix effect.A good linearity was observed in the range of 10−500 ng/mL with correlation coefficients≥*** mean recoveries for most of the pesticides were in the range of 70%−120%with RSD<20%.The limits of detection ranged 0.28–2.00μg/kg,while the limits of quantification were 0.94–6.65μg/*** the application of“top-down”approach,the expanded measurement uncertainty for all the analytes was<30%.The proposed method was successfully applied to determine pesticide residues in 20 market samples in China,where 9 pesticides were detected and quintozene exceeded the criteria domestically and abroad.

panax ginseng(C.A. Mey.) has been traditionally employed in Korea and China to alleviate fatigue and digestive disorders. In particular, Korean red ginseng(KRG), derived from streamed and dried P. ginseng, is known for its anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties. However, its effects on benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH), a representative aging-related disease, and the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims to elucidate the therapeutic effects of KRG on BPH, with a particular focus on mitochondrial dynamics, including fission and fusion processes. The effects of KRG on cell proliferation, apoptosis, and mitochondrial dynamics and morphology were evaluated in a rat model of testosterone propionate(TP)-induced BPH and TP-treated LNCa P cells,with mdivi-1 as a control. The results revealed that KRG treatment reduced the levels of androgen receptors(AR) and prostate-specific antigens in the BPH group. KRG inhibited cell proliferation by downregulating cyclin D and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)levels, and it promoted apoptosis by increasing the ratio of B-cell lymphoma protein 2(Bcl-2)-associated X protein(Bax) to Bcl-2 expression. Notably, KRG treatment enhanced the phosphorylation of dynamin-related protein 1(DRP-1, serine 637) compared with that in the BPH group, which inhibited mitochondrial fission and led to mitochondrial elongation. This modulation of mitochondrial dynamics was associated with decreased cell proliferation and increased apoptosis. By dysregulating AR signaling and inhibiting mitochondrial fission through enhanced DRP-1(ser637) phosphorylation, KRG effectively reduced cell proliferation and induced apoptosis. These findings suggest that KRG's regulation of mitochondrial dynamics offers a promising clinical approach for the treatment of BPH.

Dear Editor panax notoginseng （Burk.） F.H. Chen （2n = 2x = 24, common name sanqi or tianql）, belonging to the Araliaceae family, is a slow-growing plant species documented in the ancient Chinese medical literatures for its ability to ameliorate hemostasis and improve blood circulation （Wang et al., 2016）. After decades of pharmacological research, a variety of P. notoginseng-specific secondary metabolites （notably ginsenosides, notoginsenosides and gypenosides） were isolated, identified, and implicated in conferring medicinal properties （Wang et al., 2016）.

Biological scaffolds have been widely employed in wound healing applications,while their practical efficiency is compromised by insufficient oxygen delivery to the 3-dimensional constructs and inadequate nutrient supply for the long-term healing ***,we present an innovative living Chinese herbal scaffold to provide a sustainable oxygen and nutrient supply for promoting wound *** a facile microfluidic bioprinting strategy,a traditional Chinese herbal medicine(panax notoginseng saponins[PNS])and a living autotrophic microorganism(microalgae Chlorella pyrenoidosa[MA])were successfully encapsulated into the *** encapsulated PNS could be gradually released from the scaffolds,which promoted cell adhesion,proliferation,migration,and tube formation in *** addition,benefiting from the photosynthetic oxygenation of the alive MA,the obtained scaffolds would produce sustainable oxygen under light illumination,exerting a protective effect against hypoxia-induced cell *** on these features,we have demonstrated through in vivo experiments that these living Chinese herbal scaffolds could efficiently alleviate local hypoxia,enhance angiogenesis,and thereby accelerate wound closure in diabetic mice,indicating their great potential in wound healing and other tissue repair applications.

Ginsenoside Rb3 (GRb3) is an active ingredient extracted from panax ginseng， which is known to enhance blood supply to heart and treat a variety of cardiac diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of GRb3 on myocardial injury induced by sleep deprivation and its mechanisms. GRb3 20 mg/kg group showed lower heart rate (438.2 ± 10.06 bpm)， Creatine kinase (27.43 ± 2.85 U / mg prot) and Lactate dehydrogenase (412.9 ± 35.65 U / L) than SD group (592.0 ± 7.78 bpm， 44.18 ± 1.24 U / mg prot， 526.6 ± 38.18 U / L). GRb3 improved myocardial tissue damage and abnormal mitochondrial morphological changes. GRb3 also reduced the abnormal proteins expression of Atrial Natriuretic Peptide (ANP)， Sirtuin3 (SIRT3)， Tumor Protein P53 (P53)， Solute Carrier Family 7 (SLC7A11)， Glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4)， Transferrin Receptor Protein 1 (TFRC)， Acyl-CoA synthetase long chain family member 4 (ACSL4)， Heme Oxygenase-1 (HO-1)， Ferritin heavy polypeptide 1 (FTH1)， Ferroptosis suppressor protein 1 (FSP1). GRb3 ameliorated oxidative stress， such as Malondialdehyde (MDA，)， Glutathione (GSH)， and Superoxide dismutase (SOD). GRb3 also decreased Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) content， restored cellular abnormal mitochondrial morphology and reversed the expression of ferroptosis-related proteins on H9c2 cells pretreated with Erastin. While the above effect could be reversed by 3-TYP. In summary， GRb3 exerts cardioprotective effects by regulating SIRT3/P53/SCL7A11/GPX4 axis to inhibit myocardial ferroptosis in sleep deprived mice. The findings imply that GRb3 holds promising potential for innovative approaches to safeguarding human cardiac health.

[Objectives]Some Chinese medicinal materials of Jianjin Zhuanggu Paste were microscopically identified,and several active ingredients were studied by thin-layer identification,which provides reference for further improving the quality standards of hospital preparations.[Methods]The effective components of Jianjin Zhuanggu Paste were qualitatively identified by thin-layer chromatography(TLC).[Results]The microscopic identification of the three Chinese medicinal materials in Jianjin Zhuanggu Paste showed the microscopic characteristics of Radix Codonopsis,Radix Astragali and Radix *** identification showed that there were characteristic spots of Radix Codonopsis,Radix Astragali,Radix Rehmanniae Preparata and Radix notoginseng in Jianjin Zhuanggu Paste.[Conclusions]This study established the quality standard research method of Jianjin Zhuanggu Paste,which further strengthens the safety standards of hospital preparations,and improves the clinical efficacy of drugs,as well as the quality standards of hospital preparations to a certain extent.
