The global spin alignment of vector mesons has been observed by the STAR collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider （RHIC） at Brookhaven National Laboratory （BNL）.It provides a unique opportunity to probe the correlation between the polarized quark and antiquark in the strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma （sQGP） produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions,opening a new window to explore the properties of s *** addition,spin alignments of vector mesons have also been observed in other high-energy particle collisions such as e+e-annihilations at high energies where hadron production is dominated by quark fragmentation *** results obtained are quite different from those obtained in heavy ion collisions where quark coalescence/combination mechanism dominates suggesting strong dependence on hadronization *** comprehensive studies in different hadronization processes are *** this article,we present a brief review of theoretical and experimental advances in the study of vector meson’s spin alignments in a variety of high-energy particle collisions,with emphasis on hadronization mechanisms.

Respiratory rate monitoring is of great significance in pig healthy breeding for the early detection and timely prevention of respiratory diseases. Humidity sensing is an important noncontact method to monitor pig respiration, which does not cause direct harm to pigs and meets the requirements of animal welfare. This paper proposes a humidity sensor based on graphene oxide wrapped-silica microspheres （GO@SiO2）. First, the sensor shows fast response/recovery performances of0.24/0.73 s. Experiments demonstrate that the wrapped microsphere structure can inhibit water aggregation. It is speculated that the wrapped microsphere structure can inhibit the stacking of GO, and its curved surface can promote the evaporation of water molecules. Second, the sensor shows a high sensitivity of 1.2%/%RH–4.2%/%RH in 11%–95%RH range. This can be attributed to different sensing mechanisms, from hopping transport to increasing ion transport, leading to a significant change in the sensor’s resistance. Third, the sensor shows selectivity to water molecules due to the hydrophilic characteristic of GO and the significant increase in conductivity by ion transport. Finally, the sensor is applied to realize the respiratory rate monitoring of adult pigs and piglets.

Acoustic orbital angular momentum (OAM) provides an infinite set of orthogonal bases in Hilbert space and significantly boosts the link capacity and data transmission rate. High-capacity and low-crosstalk OAM detection within compact physical space is highly desired to effectively harness this spatial dimension of sound wave, but the existing mechanisms generally either operate only for finite OAMs with predetermined mode orders or rely on complicated active devices. Here, we propose a phase saddle point (PSP) transformation mechanism for distinguishing and demultiplexing acoustic OAM modes in a passive, mode-adaptive,high-efficiency, and high-accuracy paradigm. The phase mask characterized by a PSP in the specific area is created through the single-pass log-polar transformation without prior information of incident modes, whose interaction with incident vortex beams of different OAM modes will yield the translation of the stationary phase point and thereby generate the corresponding focused line spots at distinct lateral positions. We theoretically elucidate the mode-adaptive response of PSP transformation by deriving the quantitative relationship between the OAM order and line spot offset. This mode adaptability enables our mechanism to detect OAM of arbitrary mode orders and mode numbers with the inter-mode crosstalk being effectively suppressed, beyond attainable with the existing methods. The effectiveness of our proposed mechanism is validated by demonstrating several distinct examples of single-mode OAM sorting and multi-mode synthesized vortex beam demultiplexing. We anticipate this modeadaptive methodology, designed for compact dimensions and featuring with low crosstalk and uniform efficiency, will find important applications in OAM information processing.

Understanding the interactions between constituent quarks is one of the fundamental and challenging problems in hadron physics. At present, the constituent quark models have achieved great success in describing the properties of hadrons, whereas some long-standing disputes remain, especially for the short range interactions between constituent quarks. In exploring the dynamic mechanism between u/d quarks, it is found that the one gluon exchange and/or vector meson exchange induced interactions may dominate the short range interactions [1].

A scheme based on irregular V-shaped silicon nanoantennas is proposed to optimize transverse unidirectional scattering under plane wave irradiation. Traditional methods of designing regular shapes offer fewer parameters and higher search efficiency. However, due to the limitations of regular shapes, it is challenging to meet high-precision design requirements. Irregular shape design allows for a broader range of adjustments, but the complexity of shape parameters leads to lower search efficiency and a higher likelihood of converging to local optima.

The Bose–Hubbard model is a paradigm for the study of strongly correlated bosonic systems. We study the two-site Bose–Hubbard model with generic integrable open boundaries specified by the most general non-diagonal reflecting matrices. Besides the inhomogeneous parameters,the model itself has three free boundary parameters,which break the U(1)-symmetry,in other words,break the particle number conservation. The Hamiltonian H under these circumstances is constructed. With the help of the off-diagonal Bethe Ansatz method,we successfully obtain the corresponding Bethe Ansatz equations as well as the eigenvalues.

This paper generalizes the single-shell Kidder＇s self-similar solution to the double-shell one with a discontinuity in density across the interface. An isentropic implosion model is constructed to study the Rayleigh-Taylor instability for the implosion compression. A Godunov-type method in the Lagrangian coordinates is used to compute the one-dimensional Euler equation with the initial and boundary conditions for the double-shell Kidder＇s self-similar solution in spherical geometry. Numerical results are obtained to validate the double-shell implosion model. By programming and using the linear perturbation codes, a linear stability analysis on the Rayleigh-Taylor instability for the double-shell isentropic implosion model is performed. It is found that, when the initial perturbation is concentrated much closer to the interface of the two shells, or when the spherical wave number becomes much smaller, the modal radius of the interface grows much faster, i.e., more unstable. In addition, from the spatial point of view for the compressibility effect on the perturbation evolution, the compressibility of the outer shell has a destabilization effect on the Rayleigh-Taylor instability, while the compressibility of the inner shell has a stabilization effect.
