Improving Attitude toward Corporate Strategy with Visual Mapping： Scale Development and Application in Europe and China

Companies operating across borders face greater challenges in ensuring compliance with company strategy in different cultural contexts. Recent research shows the cognitive and emotional benefits of utilizing visual representations of knowledge in organizations. This study aims to test if mapping a corporate strategy visually can improve attitudes toward firm strategy and the intention to comply with it. An experiment is conducted comparing two knowledge maps to a textual version of the same company strategy. In order to measure attitudes toward the strategy, a scale was developed and tested in Europe and China. The study outcome provides a parsimonious and effective tripartite scale of attitude with cognitive, affective and behavioral components. The scale was then applied to a different sample to test the effect of mapping a company strategy visually on attitude toward the strategy, and to test if the effect is persistent in Europe and China. The results of the experiment show that subjects exposed to the visual conditions had significantly more positive affective and cognitive attitudes toward the content.

In this work, the plastic of polylatic acid(PLA) film is coated by alumina(Al_2O_3)through dielectric barrier discharge plasma assisted atomic layer deposition(DBD PA-ALD) for the proposal of the barrier property enhancement. The influence of ALD Al_2O_3 thickness on properties of barrier, mechanical, optical and degradation is investigated in detail. It is obtained that the growth rate of Al_2O_3 in DBD PA-ALD is as quick as 0.12 nm/cycle. After coated～40 nm Al_2O_3, the water vapor transmission rate of PLA is reduced by two orders of ***, it is noticed that the tension strength of the coated film is improved slightly,whereas the light transmission rate is decreased with the increase of Al_2O_3 thickness. The degradation test shows that Al_2O_3 coating almost does not affect the self-degradation rate of PLA film.

Optimizing the microdynamics in alkaline and neutral conditions is a significant but challenging task in developing pH-universal hydrogen evolution（HER） ***,a unique Pt-O-Ni bridge has been constructed to alter the coordination and electronic environment between Pt nanoparticles（Pt_n）and nickel metaphosphate（NPO） substrate（Pt-NPO）.Sufficient electron transfer from NPO to Pt_n to maintain an electron-rich environment and a low valence state of Pt_***,H*is produced from the H2O dissociation on Ni site and then spillover toward Pt sites to bind into H2,which makes up for the insufficient H2O dissociation ability of Pt in Volmer ***-NPO exhibits long-term stability and only need the overpotentials of 22.3,33.0 and 30.5 mV to attain 10 mA cm-2in alkaline,neutral and acidic media,*** anion-exchange membrane（AEM） water electrolyzer catalyzed by Pt-NPO shows high water electrolysis performance that a cell voltage of 1.73 V is needed to obtain the current density of500 mA cm-2in 1 M KOH at 80℃,at the same time maintains good stability for 350 *** regulation strategy proposed in this work is helpful for the design and synthesis of highly efficient pH-universal HER electrocatalysts.

Delay tolerant wireless sensor networks(DTWSN) is a class of wireless network that finds its deployment in those application scenarios which demand for high packet delivery ratio while maintaining minimal overhead in order to prolong network lifetime; owing to resource-constrained nature of *** fundamental requirement of any network is routing a packet from its source to destination. Performance of a routing algorithm depends on the number of network parameters utilized by that routing protocol. In the recent years, various routing protocol has been developed for the delay tolerant networks(DTN).A routing protocol known as spray and wait(SnW)is one of the most widely used routing algorithms for DTN. In this paper, we study the SnW routing protocol and propose a modified version of it referred to as Pentago SnW which is based on pentagonal number series. Comparison to binary SnW shows promising results through simulation using real-life scenarios of cars and pedestrians randomly moving on a map.

A top-illuminated circular mesa uni-traveling-carrier photodetector（UTC-PD） is proposed in this paper. By employing Gaussian graded doping in In Ga As absorption layer and In P depleted layer, the responsivity and high speed response characteristics of the device are optimized simultaneously. The responsivity up to 1.071 A/W（the external quantum efficiency of 86%） is obtained at 1550 nm with a 40-μm diameter device under 10-V reverse bias condition. Meanwhile, the dark current of 7.874 n A and the 3-d B bandwidth of 11 GHz are obtained with the same device at a reverse bias voltage of3 V.

The growth of GaAs epilayers on silicon substrates with multiple layers of InAs quantum dots（QDs） as dislocation filters by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition（MOCVD） is investigated in *** growth conditions of single and multiple layers of QDs used as dislocation filters in GaAs/Si epilayers are *** is found that the insertion of a five-layer InAs QDs into the GaAs buffer layer effectively reduces the dislocation density of GaAs/Si *** with the dislocation density of 5×10^7 cm^-2 in the GaAs/Si sample without QDs,a density of 2×10^6 cm^-2 is achieved in the sample with QD dislocation filters.

To improve the computational speed, the ROLS-AWS algorithm was employed in the RBF based MUD receiver. The radial basis function was introduced into the multi-user detection （MUD） firstly. Then a three-layer neural network demodulation spread-spectrum signal model in the synchronous Gauss channel was given and the multi-user detection receiver was analyzed intensively. Simulations by computer illustrate that the proposed RBF based MUD receiver employing the ROKS-AWS algorithm is better than conventional detectors and common BP neural network based MUD receivers on suppressing multiple access interference and near-far resistance.
