Effects of silicon on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 20% cold-worked 15-15 Ti austenitic stainless steels are systemically investigated by uniaxial tensile tests,scanning and transmission electron microscope observations,and strength *** results reveal that a large number of deformation twins are formed in the 20% cold-worked steels with various silicon *** volume fraction of deformation twins and the density of dislocations increase with silicon content,while the twin thickness slightly decreases.A better strength-ductility combination is achieved by silicon addition,since the yield strength of the steel with 2% silicon is 61 MPa higher than that of the steel with 1% silicon,while their uniform elongations are almost both equal to 16%.The yield strength of the 15-15 Ti stainless steels is predominantly contributed by the solid solution,dislocation and deformation twin strengthening effects,which can be enhanced by silicon addition.

Corrosion behavior of unrusted Q235 carbon steel was investigated in 3.5% NaCl solutions with 1–5 wt%tannic acid addition, using electrochemical methods including electrochemical impedance spectra(EIS),potentiodynamic polarization and scanning vibrating electrode technique(SVET) combined with surface analysis. Results show that the corrosion rate decreases with increasing tannic acid concentration. As compared with tannic acid-free solution, 1% tannic acid does not provide inhibition effect during the whole immersion, while inhibition effect is observed for 3% tannic acid after 8 h and for 5% tannic acid after 4 h. The inhibition efficiency by weight loss measurements(áw) for 1%, 3%, and 5% tannic is around-17.2%, 40.3%, and 51.5%, respectively. Corrosion of unrusted carbon steel in the presence of tannic acid is attributed to the joint effect of tannic acid adsorption and pH decrease. Formation of ferric-tannates is verified by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and Raman spectra. The reaction mechanism between tannic acid and unrusted carbon steel is proposed.

This pilot study documented the occurrence and levels of brominated flame retardants in the tissues of farmed and wild salmon in southern *** of Coho salmon and rainbow trout were obtained from fish farms,rivers and lakes in the Patagonia in Aysen Region,*** samples were analyzed by Gas Chromatography Negative Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometry for the different polybrominated diphenyl ether（PBDE） *** were observed in all the samples,and the congeners BDE 17,28,47 and 66 were observed in all both farmed and wild *** concentrations were higher in the farmed Coho salmon,presenting significant differences with wild *** levels reached 182 pg/g wet weight（ww） vs.120 *** the case of the rainbow trout,the concentrations were lower,although the congener profile was quite *** levels reached an average of 100 pg/g ww in the farmed fish versus 110 pg/g ww in wild fish,and no significant difference was observed between the *** both species,the congener with the highest concentration was BDE *** on this information,the BDE ？ow was estimated for commerce,which is a form of pollutant transport not usually considered in POP pollution studies.A preliminary estimation indicated that the quantity of PBDEs mobilized by commerce was in the order of kg,and in the case of Chile might reach almost 1 kg.

2.98 kGy/h(1007 h) gamma irradiation and 90 ℃(2000 h) thermal aging were exerted to X65 grade low carbon steel buried in Gaomiaozi bentonite containing 17 wt% Beishan groundwater. The average corrosion rate of X65 low carbon steel was measured. The elemental and phase distribution on cross section was characterized by using electron probe micro-analysis, high-resolution X-ray diffraction, and micro-X-ray diffraction. The following conclusions can be made: the average aerobic corrosion rate of the carbon steel is(45.16 ± 1.53) μm/year. Taking the original surface as boundary, the corrosion scale is divided into an internal dense product layer(DPL) mainly composed of Fe_3O_4 with segregated FeCO_3 at the corrosion front and an external DPL mainly composed of Fe_3O_4 with segregated α-Fe_2O_3 and bentonite at some ***, S, and Cl are concentrated at the corrosion front of the internal DPL, while Si and Al are concentrated at the external DPL.

This paper clarifies two issues related to the prior cathodic polarisation treatment(PCPT) for the potentiodynamic polarisation test: whether PCPT can(1) remove the air-formed surface film and(2) affect the polarisation test results. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyses of fluoride ion-labelled samples show that PCPT cannot remove the surface film completely due to the low reaction rate. Potentiodynamic polarisation tests demonstrate that PCPT with proper operating parameters,-1.0 V SCE for 5 min with subsequent open circuit potential(OCP) stabilisation in this study, is necessary because it can improve the test reproducibility without affecting the corrosion parameters by unifying the initial surface state. However, PCPT with lower potentials, longer time or no OCP stabilisation has significant effects on the electrochemical corrosion parameters due to the hydrogen absorption under the conditions of this study.

The Triassic Lower Karamay Formation（T2k1） is one of the main oil-bearing stratigraphic units in the northwestern margin of Junggar Basin（NW Junggar）, China. Based on an integrated investigation of outcrops, well logs and seismic data of NW Junggar, the Lower Karamay Formation is subdivided into 2 sets, 6 beds and 13 layers. Also, it is considered that the alluvial fan, the braided river, the meandering river and the shore-shallow lacustrine were developed during the early period of Middle Triassic in Karamay districts Ⅰ, Ⅲ. The Lower Karamay Formation deposits the following 9 sedimentary subfacies： the lower fan, the middle fan, the upper fan, the braided channel, the overflow bank, the river flood of braided river, the meandering channel, the river flood of meandering river, the shore-shallow lacustrine. Seventeen microfacies such as the braided stream channel, the alluvial sand floodplain, the alluvial glutenite floodplain, the water channel, the channel bar etc. have been identified in subfacies as well. The thickness of strata is firstly up-thinning and then thickening upward to the top, it is a process from large-scale lacustrine transgression to partly lacustrine regression. Furthermore, the microfacies planar distributing law proves that the remaining oil may enrich along the margin of microfacies because of the planar microfacies changes. Therefore, this research is beneficial for searching remaining oil in NW Junggar and providing information to the project ＂The Secondary Exploration＂ of PetroChina.

The objective of this study was to establish and validate a functional observational battery(FOB) at the Center for Drug Safety evaluation & research(CDSER) that provides a basic neurological and behavioral assessment in cynomolgus *** female cynomolgus monkeys were assigned to this study and were administered the vehicle and substances〔chlorpromazine,(+)-MK-801 or caffeine〕in 4 separated days(a 7-d wash-out period between each drug treatment).On each dosing day,4 animals were staggered for dosing.A FOB was performed and recorded by two independent observers for each animal at designated time *** between two observers were evaluated and actions were taken to minimize the subjective *** administration of 5 mg·kg-1 chlorpromazine resulted in sedative effect between 0.5 and 3 h post dose and decreased body temperature at 1 h post *** administration of(+) MK-801(0.1,0.5,1.25 and 2.5 mg·kg-1) resulted in suppressed behavior(low arousal,infrequent vocalization,hypoactive,etc),autonomic responses(salivation,decreased respiration and rectal temperature,etc) and sensorimotor / neuromuscular alternations(unsteady,un-coordinated,lack of auditory response,tremor and convulsion,etc) at all doses,and monkeys becoming unconscious and /or pupil dilation at high dose levels(1.25 and 2.5 mg·kg-1).The observations were mainly recorded between 0.5 and 3 h post *** resulted in stimulant behavioral changes(high arousal,hyperactivity and /or intermittent circling behavior) in one monkey at a dose of 30 mg·kg-1(between 0.5 and 4.5 h post dose) or one of two monkeys at a dose of 45 mg·kg-1(between 0.5 and 1 h post dose).At higher doses(one monkey dosed at 45 mg·kg-1 and one at 60 mg·kg-1),caffeine resulted in decreased arousal and hypoactive between 0.5 and 3 h post *** alteration caused by caffeine was evidenced by vomiting /retching seen in the 45 mg·kg-1 monkey at 0.5 h post dose and in the 60 mg·kg-1 monkey between 0.5 and 3 h pos

Despite considerable research underscoring the importance of carbohydrate intake in relation to the risk of type 2 diabetes(T2D), a comprehensive assessment of this relationship is currently lacking. We aimed to examine the associations of various types and food sources of dietary carbohydrate intake with the risk of T2D, to evaluate potential effect modification by other factors, including genetic susceptibility,and to explore the potential mediators for such associations. The present study included 161,872 participants of the UK Biobank who were free of prevalent cancer, cardiovascular disease, or diabetes, and had at least one validated 24-h dietary recall assessment. Multivariableadjusted age-stratified Cox proportional hazard regression models were applied to estimate hazard ratios(HRs) and 95% confidence intervals(CI) for the associations of various types and food sources of dietary carbohydrate intake with risk of T2D. During a median follow-up of13.6 years, 4,176 incident cases of T2D were identified. In the multivariable-adjusted models, a greater intake of fiber, carbohydrates from whole grains, and carbohydrates from non-starchy vegetables was significantly associated with a lower risk of T2D(highest vs. lowest quantile, HR [95% CI]=0.70 [0.62–0.79], 0.74 [0.67–0.82], and 0.83 [0.75–0.92], respectively, all P for trend <0.005). In contrast, a higher intake of starch and carbohydrate from starchy vegetables was associated with an increased risk of T2D(highest vs. lowest quantile, HR [95%CI]=1.31 [1.16–1.48] and 1.19 [1.09–1.31], respectively, both P for trend <0.005). Replacing one serving of refined grains or starchy vegetables with an equal amount of whole grains or non-starchy vegetables was associated with 4% to 10% lower risk of T2D(all P values <0.001).The observed associations were generally similar across population subgroups, including individuals with different genetic susceptibility to T2D. OBJECTIVCE To investigate the altered oxidative burst activity and phagocytic activity,*** Both PHAGOBURST assay,which determines the percentage of neutrophils that undergo an oxidative burst,and PHAGOTEST assay which determines the percentage of neutrophils that engulf fluorescein-labelled opsonized *** bacteria,were performed following the kits' procedures with a flow *** blood samples from cynomolgus monkeys were analyzed for intra-assay and intra-animal precision,sample stability and inter-subject *** Intra-assay coefficients of variation(CV) for the phagoburst assay were 0.4 %(1 mol·L-1,one male animal) and 0.2%(1F,one female animal),while intra-assay CVs for phagocytosis assay were 3.4 %(1 mol·L-1) and 0.7%(1F).Intra-animal CVs over 3 d for the phagoburst assay were 8.7%(1mol·L-1) and 4.1%(1F),whereas intra-animal CVs for the phagocytosis test were 1.2%(1mol·L-1) and 5.2%(1F).Inter-subject variability was determined with 4 male animals and 4 female ***,the heparinized blood samples were stable for both oxidative burst activity and phagocytic activity after kept at room temperature for 8 h and for 24 h,*** All the parameters tested throughout the study fulfilled the criteria of *** phagoburst assay and phagocytosis assay are methodologically acceptable for the use in the analysis of phagocytic function in cynomolgus monkeys.
