Effect of ethanolamine （ETA） on Alloy 690 in simulated pressurized water reactor （PWR） secondary cooling water was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS）, potentiodynamic polarization, atomic force microscopy （AFM）, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy-attenuated total reflectance （FTIR-ATR）, X-ray photoelectron spectrometer （XPS） and time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry （ToF-SIMS）. The results show that moderate addition of ETA can enhance the corrosion resistance of Alloy 690 in high-temperature pressurized water and the optimum additive value is 2 mg/L. The addition of ETA contributes to the formation of oxide rather than hydroxide in the film on the surface of Alloy 690. The corrosion resistance of Alloy 690 at 320 ℃ with the addition of ETA is better than that at 280 ℃.

A heat treatment process, quenching-tempering-partitioning （Q-T-P）, has been applied to a low carbon martensitic stainless steel 06Crl3Ni4Mo. By using this process, ultrafine reversed austenite can be obtained at room temperature. The microstructures of the reversed austenite and the martensite matrix were characterized by transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and energy dispersive spectroscopy （EDS） in detail. The results show that the ultrafine reversed austenite is enriched in Ni resulting in the austenite stability at room temperature. Two new types of nano-scale carbide precipitates are found in the martensite matrix. Detailed analysis suggests that the two nano-scale precipitates can be identified as ω phase and λ phase carbides, respectively. The orientation relationship between the ω phase and matrix is [011]α [/[2110]ω and （211）α//（0110）ω, while that between the X phase precipitate and matrix is [011]α][[0001]λ and （200）α/（1210）λ. For the present steel, the ultrafine reversed austenite and carbide precipitates obtained by Q-T-P treatment provide a good combination of high strength and toughness.

Analysis of Surface Oxide Films Formed in Hydrogenated Primary Water on Alloy 690TT Samples With Different Surface States

Oxidation of Alloy 690 TT samples either manually ground to 400 and 1500 grit, mechanically polished, or electropolished was performed in a solution of 1500 10 6B and 2.3 10 6Li with 2.5 10 6dissolved H2, at 325℃ and 15.6 MPa for 60 days. The oxide films grown on samples with different surface states were analyzed using various techniques. Results show that a triple-layered structure was formed after immersion： an outermost layer with large scattered oxide particles rich in Fe and Ni, an intermediate layer with small compact oxide particles rich in Cr and Fe for the ground surfaces and loose needle-like oxides rich in Ni for the polished surfaces, and an inner layer with continuous Cr-rich oxides. The surface state was found to affect not only the surface morphology, but also the corrosion rate. Grinding accelerated the growth of protective oxide films such that the ground samples showed a lower oxidation rate than the polished *** of ground Alloy 690 TT showed superior resistance to intergranular attack（IGA）.

Lignocellulosic biomass is one of the viable solutions to alleviate the global warming. However, the limited utilization of biomass majorly focused on cellulose and hemicellulose restricts the economic and environmental feasibilities. To cope with this issue, we proposed an integrated process of co-producing 1,6-hexanediol（1,6-HDO） with tetrahydrofuran and adipic acid from biomass, referred to as Strategy A. To compare the impacts of lignin upgrading and feedstock, Strategy B, which co-produces tetrahydrofuran alone, and Strategy C, which is the traditional route to produce 1,6-HDO from fossil fuels, were used. Heat networks are also designed to reduce operating costs and indirect carbon emissions due to energy consumption, saving 87% and 83% of the heat and cooling requirements, respectively, in Strategy A. The market competitiveness of Strategy A was evaluated by determining the minimum selling price through techno-economic analysis, and sustainability was thoroughly investigated by quantifying the environmental impacts through both midpoint and endpoint life-cycle assessments（LCAs）.Strategy A was found to be the most favorable both economically（USRDSCHARDOLLAR3,402/ton） and environmentally（-26.9 kg CO2eq.）. This indicates that lignin valorization is not only economically but also environmentally preferred. Finally, changes in economic and environmental feasibilities depending on economic, process, and environmental parameters were investigated using sensitivity and uncertainty analyses. The results of these analyses provide valuable insight into bio-based chemical production.

Two kinds of 90Cu10 Ni tubes with different service lives（more than 3 years and only 1 year,respectively）under identical working conditions were studied by an immersion test in a 3.5 wt% NaCl solution and the electron backscattered diffraction（EBSD） *** morphology after immersion showed severer corrosion attack at the grain boundaries of the tube with shorter service life compared with the tube with longer service *** grain boundary characterization distributions（GBCDs） of the two tubes obtained by EBSD revealed more Σ3 boundaries and twins,and larger random boundary meshes in the tube with longer service life.A short immersion test in a modified Livingston＇s solution was conducted to evaluate the tendency to corrosion attack of different types of the grain *** and AFM were used to characterize the corrosion morphologies of the boundaries.A strong correlation between varying depths of corrosion grooves and types of the grain boundaries was *** influence of deviation angle of low Σ boundaries on corrosion resistance of the grain boundaries was also *** is concluded that a special ‘‘grain boundary engineering＇＇（GBE） treatment has been performed on the tube with longer service *** is proposed that the optimized GBCD is responsible for the better service performance of the tube.

Multilayer graphene as a potential anti-oxidation barrier to protect nickel foils from oxidation was studied in simulated primary water of pressurized water reactors （PWRs）. The results show that after immersion for 1000 h, the structure of the multilayer graphene remains unchanged and no obvious oxide film formed on the graphene coated nickel foils, indicating multilayer graphene can effectively act as the anti-oxidation barrier to protect the substrate from oxidation and hence can improve the heat transfer efficiency of the substrate in simulated primary water of PWRs.

In high-temperature and high-pressure water, traditional anticorrosion approaches are not suitable to be used to protect structural materials from oxidation and corrosion. In this study, monolayer graphene was explored as a barrier to protect the materials from degradation. The oxidation and corrosion rate of the monolayer-graphene-coated copper is much lower than that of the bare copper, suggesting that the monolayer graphene can effectively protect the copper from oxidation and corrosion in the simulated primary water of pressurized water reactors.

To explore the usage of monolayer graphene as an anti-oxidation barrier in simulated primary water of pressurized water reactors（PWRs）,we transferred the monolayer graphene synthesized by low pressure chemical vapor deposition（LPCVD） on Cu foil to Alloy 690 *** a 500 h immersion,strong oxidation resistance was obtained from the graphene coated Alloy 690 TT sample,indicating that the transferred monolayer graphene can act as an effective barrier to protect the substrate from oxidation in simulated primary water of PWRs.

Spectrum-Effect Relationship Between High Performance Liquid Chromatography Fingerprints and Anticoccidial Activities of a Compound Chinese Medicine

Quality control and screening of active substances in traditional Chinese medicines have been performed using fingerprint analysis. The spectrum-effect relationship between chromatography fingerprints and efficacy of herbal drugs is considered as a potentially useful method for determining active ingredients in complex mixtures. The study was designed to develop a method for determining the bioactive components of a compound Chinese medicine called Tiefeng based on spectrum-effect relationships between high-performance liquid chromatography （HPLC） fingerprints and anticoccidial activities. Four peaks of the established HPLC fingerprint indicate the main bioactive components of this medicine. In addition, pharrnacodynamic atlas was defined and used to assess the anticoccidial activity of Tiefeng from different sources for the first time. We found that the level of anticoccidial activity of Tiefeng was consistent with the degree of similarity between the pharmacodynamic atlas and chromatogram of any sample. Furthermore, effect of this medicine was related with the main active constituents, along with the origin and the harvesting time.
