Spin effect on redox acceleration and regioselectivity in Fe-catalyzed alkyne hydrosilylation

Iron catalysts are ideal transition metal catalysts because of the Earths abundant, cheap, biocompatible features of iron salts. Iron catalysts often have unique open-shell structures that easily undergo spin crossover in chemical transformations, a feature rarely found in noble metal catalysts. Unfortunately, little is known currently about how the open-shell structure and spin crossover affect the reactivity and selectivity of iron catalysts, which makes the development of iron catalysts a low efficient trial-and-error program. In this paper, a combination of experiments and theoretical calculations revealed that the iron-catalyzed hydrosilylation of alkynes is typical spin-crossover catalysis. Deep insight into the electronic structures of a set of well-defined open-shell active formal Fe(0) catalysts revealed that the spin-delocalization between the iron center and the 1,10-phenanthroline ligand effectively regulates the iron center's spin and oxidation state to meet the opposite electrostatic requirements of oxidative addition and reductive elimination, respectively,and the spin crossover is essential for this electron transfer process. The triplet transition state was essential for achieving high regioselectivity through tuning the nonbonding interactions. These findings provide an important reference for understanding the effect of catalyst spin state on reaction. It is inspiring for the development of iron catalysts and other Earth-abundant metal catalysts, especially from the point of view of ligand development.

With acetyl chloride as the solvent, the condensation reaction of p-toluenesulfonamide, an aromatic aldehyde and phenyldichlorophosphine gives a reactive intermediate, a-(p-toluenesulfonyl)-aminobenzylphosphinic chloride, which reacts with glycine ethyl ester to give the corresponding phos-phinopeptide (6) containing a P-N bond directly.

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Biological Activities of Novel Anthranilic(Isophthalic) Acid Esters

In search of environmentally benign insecticides with high activity, low toxicity and low resistance, a series of novel anthranilic（isophthalic） acid esters was designed and synthesized based on the structure of ryanodine modulating agent. All the compounds were characterized by 1H NMR spectra, elemental analysis or high resolution mass spectrometry（HRMS）. The preliminary results of biological activity assessment indicate that some of the title compounds exhibit certain but unremarkable insecticidal activity against Mythimna separata Walker at 200 mg/L and fungicidal activities against five funguses at 50 mg/L.

Studies of di[(phenyldimethylsilyl)methyl]-methyltin dithiophosphates

Thirteen derivatives of di[(phenyldimethylsilyl)methyl]methyltin dithiophosphates have been synthesized and characterized by the elemental analysis, IR, 1H, 13C,119Sn NMR and MS. The results show that they are four-coordinated. The preliminary bioassay reveals that they have good acaricidal activity and some of them have insecticidal, herbicidal activities at the same time.

High-speed flexible near-infrared organic photodiode for optical communication

Optical communication is a particularly compelling technology for tackling the speed and capacity bottlenecks in data communication in modern society. Currently, the silicon photodetector plays a dominant role in high-speed optical communication across the visible-near-infrared spectrum. However, its intrinsic rigid structure, high working bias and low responsivity essentially limit its application in next-generation flexible optoelectronic devices. Herein, we report a narrow-bandgap non-fullerene acceptor（NFA） with a remarkable π-extension in the direction of both central and end units（CH17） with respect to the Y6 series, which demonstrates a more effective and compact 3D molecular packing, leading to lower trap states and energetic disorders in the photoactive film. Consequently, the optimized solution-processed organic photodetector（OPD） with CH17 exhibits a remarkable response time of 91 ns（λ = 880 nm） due to the high charge mobility and low parasitic capacitance, exceeding the values of most commercial Si photodiodes and all NFA-based OPDs operating in self-powered mode. More significantly, the flexible OPD exhibits negligible performance attenuation（<1%） after bending for 500 cycles, and maintains 96% of its initial performance even after 550 h of indoor exposure. Furthermore, the high-speed OPD demonstrates a high data transmission rate of 80 MHz with a bit error rate of 3.5 × 10-4, meaning it has great potential in next-generation high-speed flexible optical communication systems.

Electrochemical Mono-Deuterodefluorination of Trifluoromethyl Aromatic Compounds with Deuterium Oxide

The deuterodifluoromethyl group CF_(2)D combines the structural features of CF_(3) and CD_(3) groups,finding wide applications in diverse pharmaceutical entities.In this work,the electrochemical monodeuterodefluorination of Ar-CF_(3) to Ar-CF_(2)D is achieved with an unreported deuterium atom transfer-coupled electron transfer pathway using D_(2)O as the only D source for the first time.A series of Ar-CF_(3) substances,including commercial pharmaceuticals,were converted to corresponding CF_(2)D products in up to 91% yield and 97% D-incorporation.A variety of functional groups,including pyridine,pyrrole,furan,thiophene,borate,thio ether,amine,amide,sulfonamide,and halide,are well tolerated in this protocol.t-BuOLi was an essential reagent to achieve chemoselective mono-defluorination.

THE SYNTHESIS OF PHOSPHORAMIDOTHIOATES AND THEIR QUANTITATIVE STRUCTUREACTIVITY CORRELATIONS

O-Aryl O-ethyl N-isopropyl phosphoramidothioates （Ⅰ） have herbicidal activity. In order to study the relationship between structures and activities of these compounds, more than thirty compounds （Ⅰ） have been prepared by the reaction of O-aryl O-ethyl phosphorochloridothioates with isopropylamine in the presence of 40% NaOH at 0℃. The intermediates, phosphorochloridothioates, were prepared separately from a large excess of O-ethyl Phosphorodichloridothioate and various substituted phenols in the presence of 40% NaOH and a catalyrical amount of Et3N at 0—5℃. As a result, higher purity and good yields were obtained.It was found that the activity of these compounds was highly dependent upon the substituents attached to the benzene ring with respect to the characteristic parameters π, Es, σ and F by using Hansch’s equation.It was indicated that hydrophobic （π）, steric （Es）, and electronic （σ and F） effects of the substituents on the ring in those molecules seem to be of considerable importance

Three series of forty-nine novel 4-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)-2H-pyridazin-3-one derivatives are designed,synthesized,and evaluated through a Spirodela polyrrhiza test and a greenhouse test.Some compounds show > 80% chlorophyll inhibition of Spirodela polyrrhiza at 10 μg/mL and exhibit some herbicidal activities against Digitaria adscendens in the pre-emergence treatment at a rate of 150 g/ha.Moreover,the study of the structure-activity relationship(SAR) suggests that the appropriate bulky substituent at the right position is critical for the bleaching and herbicidal activities,which may be useful for the future design of new compounds.

Four series of new phosphorus compounds with general formulas Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ have been prepared by the reactions of phosphoro-(or phosphono-)bis-(isothiocyanatido)-thioates separately with amines. The structures of these compounds have been confirmed by IR and ~1HNMR. In addition, some of them have been further identified by MS and X-ray.
