The medicinal fungi had played an important role in traditional Chinese medicine and have been used to treat different diseases in China for a long time. In recent years, many studies have been undertaken worldwide,and have ascertained that components of the mushroom possessed various therapeutic functions including immunomodulating activity, antitumor, antidiabetes and hepatoprotective ability and so on. It was found that many bioactivities of medicinal fungi are relative with the polysaccharide. The study was focused on chemical structure and bioactivity of polysaccharides from 7 different important medicinal fungi, Ganoderma lucidum,Ganoderma sinense, Hericium erinaceus, Pleurotus eryngii,Coprinus comatus,Phellinus igniarius,Tremella aurantialba,Flammulina velutiper. 22 homogeneous polysaccharides were purified from hot water and alkali extracts of the fruiting body or spores using a series of chromatographic steps. Their chemical structures were elucidated by sugar analysis, methylation analysis and NMR. These polysaccharides was classified toβ-glucan,α-glucan, Fucogalactan, Fucoglucogalactan, Galactoglucan, acidic polysaccharides. Conformation of a 1,3/1,6-glucan from G. lucidum was studied by HPSEC-MALLS-RI system and Laser light scattering method;it was found conformation of the glucan is triple helix in solution. The bioactivity of these polysaccharides were found to induce macrophage activation and B or T cell activation, stimulate the proliferation of lymphocytes,stimulate the secretion of cytokines and immunoglobulins of lymphocytes and inhibit the Sarcoma S180 tumor growth. A sulfated polysaccharide deritive of Ganoderma lucidum, GLPss58, was found to possess the anti-inflammatory properties by inhibited the L-selectin – s Tyr/sLeX binding of lymphocytes. The cultivar Ganoderma lucidum Hunong 5 was obtained using cross-breeding. Hunong 5 has high commercial value due to its high polysaccharide and triterpene content. This is the first report of using a DNA pooling method to develop a stable sequence characterized amplified region（SCAR） marker for rapid identification of the G. lucidum Hunong 5 cultivar. The SCAR marker was developed by first generating and sequencing a distinctive inter simple sequence repeat（ISSR） fragment（882 bp） from G. lucidum Hunong 5 cultivar. A stable SCAR primer pair GLH5 F/GLH5 R were obtained to identify the cultivar and the SCAR marker is a DNA fragment of 773 bp.

The brown-rot fungi play an important role in forest ecosystems;they can degrade celluloses and hemicelluloses of wood and maintain nutrient *** of the brown-rot fungi also have important economic value as medicinal or edible *** studies showed that the ability to produce brown rot has evolved independently at least five ***,the Polyporales contains the vast majority of the species of the brown-rot *** this study,the classification system of the brown-rot fungi within the Polyporales is ***,the phylogenetic relationships of brown-rot fungi within the Polyporales are analysed based on DNA sequences of multiple loci including the internal transcribed spacer(ITS)regions,the large subunit nuclear ribosomal RNA gene(nLSU),the small subunit nuclear ribosomal RNA gene(nSSU),the small subunit mitochondrial rRNA gene sequences(mtSSU),the translation elongation factor 1-αgene(TEF1),the RNA polymerase II largest subunit(RPB1)and the second subunit of RNA polymerase II(RPB2).The study showed that the brownrot fungi within the Polyporales formed fourteen lineages,which are assigned at family level,including four new families:Auriporiaceae,Piptoporellaceae,Postiaceae,Taiwanofungaceae,and ten existing families:Adustoporiaceae,Dacryobolaceae,Fibroporiaceae,Fomitopsidaceae,Laetiporaceae,Laricifomitaceae,Phaeolaceae,Pycnoporellaceae,Sarcoporiaceae,and ***,eleven new genera,viz.,Austroporia,Aurantipostia,Austropostia,Daedalella,Nothofagiporus,Pseudoantrodia,Pseudofomitopsis,Rhodoantrodia,Tenuipostia,Wolfiporiella and Wolfiporiopsis are proposed;eighteen new species,viz.,Amyloporia nivea,Antrodia subheteromorpha,Aurantipostia macrospora,Austropostia hirsuta,***,***,Cystidiopostia subhibernica,Daedalella micropora,Fuscopostia subfragilis,Lentoporia subcarbonica,Melanoporia tropica,Neolentiporus tropicus,Phaeolus fragilis,Postia crassicontexta,Pseudoantrodia monomitica,Pseudofomitopsis microcar

Optimizing Biodiesel Production from Karanja and Algae Oil with Nano Catalyst:RSMand ANN Approach

Three phase partitioning（TPP）, which is a convenient, green, and efficient separation technique, was used to extract ***, extraction and purification of polysaccharides from edible and medicinal bacteria using three-phase method has not been reported. This study was designed to isolate and purify polysaccharides from Inonotus obliquus（IOPS）. The optimal parameters with a high yield of 2.2% were as follows: solid-liquid ratio, 1g:12mL;mass fraction of（NH4）2SO4, 20.16%（w/v）;amount of t-butanol, 11ml;30 o C;extraction time 30 min. The purified IOPS after TPP is a proteoglycan（the molecular weight is about 40kD）consisting galactose, glucose, xylose, mannose in a molar ratio of 2: 3.5: 1: 1.5. Moreover, the purified IOPS possessed strong free-raciacl scavenging abilities, antioxidant activities and immunological activities in vitro. The obtained Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity and ferric-reducing ability of plasma values were 1040.5μmol Fe2+/g sample and 251.2μmol Trolox/g sample, respectively. IOPS has good immune activity in a dose-dependent manner. Therefore, we can obtain an IOPS with good antioxidant capacity and immunological activity by this method, and the ability of IOPS needs further study.

Nitrogen deposition mediates more stochastic processes in structuring plant community than soil microbial community in the Eurasian steppe

Anthropogenic environmental changes may affect community assembly through mediating both deterministic(e.g.,competitive exclusion and environmental filtering)and stochastic processes(e.g.,birth/death and dispersal/colonization).It is traditionally thought that environmental changes have a larger mediation effect on stochastic processes in structuring soil microbial community than aboveground plant community;however,this hypothesis remains largely *** we report an unexpected pattern that nitrogen(N)deposition has a larger mediation effect on stochastic processes in structuring plant community than soil microbial community(thosefungi,and protists)in the Eurasian *** performed a ten-year nitrogen deposition experiment in a semiarid grassland ecosystem in Inner Mongolia,manipulating nine rates(0–50 g N m^(-2)per year)at two frequencies(nitrogen added twice or 12 times per year)under two grassland management strategies(fencing or mowing).We separated the compositional variation of plant and soil microbial communities caused by each treatment into the deterministic and stochastic components with a recently-developed *** nitrogen addition rate increased,the relative importance of stochastic component of plant community first increased and then decreased,while that of soil microbial community first decreased and then *** the whole,the relative importance of stochastic component was significantly larger in plant community(0.552±0.035;mean±standard error)than in microbial community(0.427±0.035).Consistently,the proportion of compositional variation explained by the deterministic soil and community indices was smaller for plant community(0.172–0.186)than microbial community(0.240–0.767).Meanwhile,as nitrogen addition rate increased,the linkage between plant and microbial community composition first became weaker and then became *** larger stochasticity in plant community relative to microbial
