Memory-enhanced text style transfer with dynamic style learning and calibration

Text style transfer aims to rephrase a sentence to match the desired style while retaining the original content. As a controllable text generation task, mainstream approaches use content-independent style embedding as control variables to guide stylistic generation. Nonetheless, stylistic properties are contextsensitive even under the same style. For example, “delicious” and “helpful” convey positive sentiments,although they are more likely to describe food and people, respectively. Therefore, desired style signals must vary with the content. To this end, we propose a memory-enhanced transfer method, which learns fine-grained style representation concerning content to assist transfer. Rather than employing static style embedding or latent variables, our method abstracts linguistic characteristics from training corpora and memorizes subdivided content with the corresponding style representations. The style signal is dynamically retrieved from memory using the content as a query, providing a more expressive and flexible latent style space. To address the imbalance between quantity and quality in different content, we further introduce a calibration method to augment memory construction by modeling the relationship between candidate *** results obtained using three benchmark datasets confirm the superior performance of our model compared to competitive approaches. The evaluation metrics and case study also indicate that our model can generate diverse stylistic phrases matching context.

With the development of information technology and cloud computing,data sharing has become an important part of scientific *** traditional data sharing,data is stored on a third-party storage platform,which causes the owner to lose control of the *** a result,there are issues of intentional data leakage and tampering by third parties,and the private information contained in the data may lead to more significant ***,data is frequently maintained on multiple storage platforms,posing significant hurdles in terms of enlisting multiple parties to engage in data sharing while maintaining *** this work,we propose a new architecture for applying blockchains to data sharing and achieve efficient and reliable data sharing among heterogeneous *** design a new data sharing transaction mechanism based on the system architecture to protect the security of the raw data and the processing *** also design and implement a hybrid concurrency control protocol to overcome issues caused by the large differences in blockchain performance in our system and to improve the success rate of data sharing *** took Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric as examples to conduct crossblockchain data sharing *** results show that our system achieves data sharing across heterogeneous blockchains with reasonable performance and has high scalability.

Drug-Target Interactions Prediction Based on Signed Heterogeneous Graph Neural Networks

Drug-target interactions(DTIs) prediction plays an important role in the process of drug *** computational methods treat it as a binary prediction problem, determining whether there are connections between drugs and targets while ignoring relational types information. Considering the positive or negative effects of DTIs will facilitate the study on comprehensive mechanisms of multiple drugs on a common target, in this work, we model DTIs on signed heterogeneous networks, through categorizing interaction patterns of DTIs and additionally extracting interactions within drug pairs and target protein pairs. We propose signed heterogeneous graph neural networks(SHGNNs), further put forward an end-to-end framework for signed DTIs prediction, called SHGNN-DTI,which not only adapts to signed bipartite networks, but also could naturally incorporate auxiliary information from drug-drug interactions(DDIs) and protein-protein interactions(PPIs). For the framework, we solve the message passing and aggregation problem on signed DTI networks, and consider different training modes on the whole networks consisting of DTIs, DDIs and PPIs. Experiments are conducted on two datasets extracted from Drug Bank and related databases, under different settings of initial inputs, embedding dimensions and training modes. The prediction results show excellent performance in terms of metric indicators, and the feasibility is further verified by the case study with two drugs on breast cancer.

Matroid theory has been developed to be a mature branch of mathematics and has extensive applications in combinatorial optimization,algorithm design and so *** the other hand,quantum computing has attracted much attention and has been shown to surpass classical computing on solving some computational ***,crossover studies of the two fields seem to be missing in the *** paper initiates the study of quantum algorithms for matroid property *** is shown that quadratic quantum speedup is possible for the calculation problem of finding the girth or the number of circuits(bases,flats,hyperplanes)of a matroid,and for the decision problem of deciding whether a matroid is uniform or Eulerian,by giving a uniform lower boundΩ■on the query complexity of all these *** the other hand,for the uniform matroid decision problem,an asymptotically optimal quantum algorithm is proposed which achieves the lower bound,and for the girth problem,an almost optimal quantum algorithm is given with query complexityO■.In addition,for the paving matroid decision problem,a lower boundΩ■on the query complexity is obtained,and an O■ quantum algorithm is presented.

In traditional digital twin communication system testing,we can apply test cases as completely as possible in order to ensure the correctness of the system implementation,and even then,there is no guarantee that the digital twin communication system implementation is completely *** verification is currently recognized as a method to ensure the correctness of software system for communication in digital twins because it uses rigorous mathematical methods to verify the correctness of systems for communication in digital twins and can effectively help system designers determine whether the system is designed and implemented *** this paper,we use the interactive theorem proving tool Isabelle/HOL to construct the formal model of the X86 architecture,and to model the related assembly *** verification result shows that the system states obtained after the operations of relevant assembly instructions is consistent with the expected states,indicating that the system meets the design expectations.

The past decades have witnessed a wide application of federated learning in crowd sensing,to handle the numerous data collected by the sensors and provide the users with precise and customized ***,how to protect the private information of users in federated learning has become an important research *** with the differential privacy(DP)technique and secure multiparty computation(SMC)strategy,the covert communication mechanism in federated learning is more efficient and energy-saving in training the ma-chine learning *** this paper,we study the covert communication problem for federated learning in crowd sensing Internet-of-Things *** from the previous works about covert communication in federated learning,most of which are considered in a centralized framework and experimental-based,we firstly proposes a centralized covert communication mechanism for federated learning among n learning agents,the time complexity of which is O(log n),approximating to the optimal ***,for the federated learning without parameter server,which is a harder case,we show that solving such a problem is NP-hard and prove the existence of a distributed covert communication mechanism with O(log logΔlog n)times,approximating to the optimal solution.Δis the maximum distance between any pair of learning *** analysis and nu-merical simulations are presented to show the performance of our covert communication *** hope that our covert communication work can shed some light on how to protect the privacy of federated learning in crowd sensing from the view of communications.

HEN:a novel hybrid explainable neural network based framework for robust network intrusion detection

With the rapid development of network technology and the automation process for 5G, cyberattacks have become increasingly complex and threatening. In response to these threats, researchers have developed various network intrusion detection systems(NIDS) to monitor network traffic. However, the incessant emergence of new attack techniques and the lack of system interpretability pose challenges to improving the detection performance of NIDS. To address these issues, this paper proposes a hybrid explainable neural network-based framework that improves both the interpretability of our model and the performance in detecting new attacks through the innovative application of the explainable artificial intelligence(XAI)method. We effectively introduce the Shapley additive explanations(SHAP) method to explain a light gradient boosting machine(Light GBM) model. Additionally, we propose an autoencoder long-term short-term memory(AE-LSTM) network to reconstruct SHAP values previously generated. Furthermore, we define a threshold based on reconstruction errors observed during the training phase. Any network flow that surpasses the specified threshold is classified as an attack flow. This approach enhances the framework's ability to accurately identify attacks. We achieve an accuracy of 92.65%, a recall of 95.26%, a precision of 92.57%,and an F1-score of 93.90% on the dataset NSL-KDD. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach generates detection performance on par with state-of-the-art methods.

Accurate and efficient floor localization with scalable spiking graph neural networks

Floor localization is crucial for various applications such as emergency response and rescue,indoor positioning,and recommender *** existing floor localization systems have many drawbacks,like low accuracy,poor scalability,and high computational *** this paper,we first frame the problem of floor localization as one of learning node embeddings to predict the floor label of a ***,we introduce FloorLocator,a deep learning-based method for floor localization that integrates efficient spiking neural networks with powerful graph neural *** approach offers high accuracy,easy scalability to new buildings,and computational *** results on using several public datasets demonstrate that FloorLocator outperforms state-of-the-art ***,in building B0,FloorLocator achieved recognition accuracy of 95.9%,exceeding state-of-the-art methods by at least 10%.In building B1,it reached an accuracy of 82.1%,surpassing the latest methods by at least 4%.These results indicate FloorLocator’s superiority in multi-floor building environment localization.
