Conductive polymer foam(CPF)with excellent compressibility and variable resistance has promising applications in electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding and other integrated functions for wearable ***,its insufficient change amplitude of resistance with compressive strain generally leads to a degradation of shielding performance during ***,an innovative loading strategy of conductive materials on polymer foam is proposed to significantly increase the contact probability and contact area of conductive components under *** inter-skeleton conductive films are constructed by loading alginate-decorated magnetic liquid metal on the polymethacrylate films hanged between the foam skeleton(denoted as AMLM-PM foam).Traditional point contact between conductive skeletons under compression is upgraded to planar contact between conductive ***,the resistance change of AMLM-PM reaches four orders of magnitude under ***,the inter-skeleton conductive films can improve the mechanical strength of foam,prevent the leakage of liquid metal and increase the scattering area of EM ***-PM foam has strain-adaptive EMI shielding performance and shows compression-enhanced shielding effectiveness,solving the problem of traditional CPFs upon *** upgrade of resistance response also enables foam to achieve sensitive pressure sensing over a wide pressure range and compression-regulated Joule heating function.

Robust interface and excellent as-built mechanical properties of Ti–6Al–4V fabricated through laser-aided additive manufacturing with powder and wire

The feasibility of manufacturing Ti-6Al-4V samples through a combination of laser-aided additive manufacturing with powder(LAAM_(p))and wire(LAAM_(w))was explored.A process study was first conducted to successfully circumvent defects in Ti-6Al-4V deposits for LAAM_(p) and LAAM_(w),*** the optimized process parameters,robust interfaces were achieved between powder/wire deposits and the forged substrate,as well as between powder and wire *** characterization results revealed the epitaxial prior β grains in the deposited Ti-6Al-4V,wherein the powder deposit was dominated by a finerα′microstructure and the wire deposit was characterized by lamellar α *** mechanisms of microstructure formation and correlation with mechanical behavior were analyzed and *** mechanical properties of the interfacial samples can meet the requirements of the relevant Aerospace Material Specifications(AMS 6932)even without post heat *** fracture occurred within the interfacial area,further suggesting the robust *** findings of this study highlighted the feasibility of combining LAAM_(p) and LAAM_(w) in the direct manufacturing of Ti-6Al-4V parts in accordance with the required dimensional resolution and deposition rate,together with sound strength and ductility balance in the as-built condition.

Integration of Electrical Properties and Polarization Loss Modulation on atomic Fe–N‑RGO for Boosting Electromagnetic Wave Absorption

Developing effective strategies to regulate graphene’s conduction loss and polarization has become a key to expanding its application in the electromagnetic wave absorption(EMWA)*** on the unique energy band structure of graphene,regulating its bandgap and electrical properties by introducing heteroatoms is considered a feasible ***,metal-nitrogen doping reduced graphene oxide(M–N-RGO)was prepared by embedding a series of single metal atoms M–N_(4) sites(M=Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu,Zn,Nb,Cd,and Sn)in RGO using an N-coordination atom-assisted *** composites had adjustable conductivity and polarization to optimize dielectric loss and impedance matching for efficient EMWA *** results showed that the minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))of Fe–N-RGO reaches−74.05 dB(2.0 mm)and the maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB_(max))is 7.05 GHz(1.89 mm)even with a low filler loading of only 1 wt%.Combined with X-ray absorption spectra(XAFS),atomic force microscopy,and density functional theory calculation analysis,the Fe–N_(4) can be used as the polarization center to increase dipole polarization,interface polarization and defect-induced polarization due to d-p orbital hybridization and structural ***,electron migration within the Fe further leads to conduction loss,thereby synergistically promoting energy *** study demonstrates the effectiveness of metal-nitrogen doping in regulating the graphene′s dielectric properties,which provides an important basis for further investigation of the loss mechanism.

Multi-model ensemble learning for battery state-of-health estimation:Recent advances and perspectives

The burgeoning market for lithium-ion batteries has stimulated a growing need for more reliable battery performance monitoring. Accurate state-of-health(SOH) estimation is critical for ensuring battery operational performance. Despite numerous data-driven methods reported in existing research for battery SOH estimation, these methods often exhibit inconsistent performance across different application scenarios. To address this issue and overcome the performance limitations of individual data-driven models,integrating multiple models for SOH estimation has received considerable attention. Ensemble learning(EL) typically leverages the strengths of multiple base models to achieve more robust and accurate outputs. However, the lack of a clear review of current research hinders the further development of ensemble methods in SOH estimation. Therefore, this paper comprehensively reviews multi-model ensemble learning methods for battery SOH estimation. First, existing ensemble methods are systematically categorized into 6 classes based on their combination strategies. Different realizations and underlying connections are meticulously analyzed for each category of EL methods, highlighting distinctions, innovations, and typical applications. Subsequently, these ensemble methods are comprehensively compared in terms of base models, combination strategies, and publication trends. Evaluations across 6 dimensions underscore the outstanding performance of stacking-based ensemble methods. Following this, these ensemble methods are further inspected from the perspectives of weighted ensemble and diversity, aiming to inspire potential approaches for enhancing ensemble performance. Moreover, addressing challenges such as base model selection, measuring model robustness and uncertainty, and interpretability of ensemble models in practical applications is emphasized. Accurate manipulation of anthropomorphic robotic arm based on 3D human eye gazing with posture error compensation

As humans and robots work closer together than ever, anthropomorphic robotic arms with intuitive human-robot interaction interfaces have drawn massive attention to improving the quality of robot-assisted manipulation. In pursuit of this,we designed a dedicated 7-degrees-of-freedom (DoF) anthropomorphic robotic arm having three compact differential joints and a head-mounted gaze tracker enabling head-pose-tracked 3D gaze estimation. Moreover, two key challenges were addressed to achieve accurate robot-assisted manipulation of the object indicated by the direction of human gaze. First, a novel predictive pupil feature was proposed for 3D gaze estimation. Differing from most existing features subjected to the common paraxial approximation assumption, the proposed novel predictive pupil feature considered the light refraction at two corneal surfaces with a more realistic eye model, significantly improving the 3D gaze estimation accuracy when the eyeball rotates at large angles. Second, a novel optimization-based approach was developed to efficiently compensate for the posture errors of the designed 7-DoF anthropomorphic robotic arm for accurate manipulation. Compared with the existing Jacobian-based or optimization-based approaches with nominal joint values as iteration initial, the proposed approach computed the optimal iteration initial and realized faster convergence for real-time posture error compensation. With the posture error compensation in real time and 3D gaze estimated accurately, the human can command accurate robot-assisted manipulation using his eyes intuitively. The proposed system was successfully tested on five healthy subjects.

Broadband low-frequency sound absorption of multifunctional composite metastructure

In this study, we fabricated multifunctional metastructures from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic composites using additive manufacturing technology. These metastructures are characterized by their lightweight, load-bearing capacity, and broadband low-frequency sound absorption properties. The metastructure consists of 36 unit cells, and non-local coupling mechanism was considered for designing the sound absorption performance. We developed an acoustic impedance theory tailored for the metastructure, facilitating an analysis of thermal and viscous dissipation mechanisms. It is proven theoretically and experimentally that the proposed composite metastructure can achieve a noise reduction with an average sound absorption coefficient greater than 0.9 across frequencies in the rage of 330–1500 Hz. We also studied the metastructure’s quasi-static and cyclic compression performance, confirming its efficient absorption capabilities after cyclic compression. The proposed design and additive manufacturing method for composite metastructures provides a novel pathway for creating lightweight, multifunctional structures with diverse applications, such as aerospace engineering.

Weakly supervised learning can provide a more reliable approach in these situations. Current popular approaches mainly adopt the classification-based class activation maps (CAM) as initial pseudo labels to solve the task.

The g-factors and magnetic rotation in ^(82)Rb

The g-factors of the intra-band states 12, 13, 14, 15 in a magnetic-rotational band built on the 11 state in S2Rb are measured for the first time by using a transient magnetic field-ion implantation perturbed angular distribution （TMF-IMPAD） method. The magnetic-rotational band in ^82Rb is populated by the ^60Ni（27A1,4pn）^82Rb reaction, and the time-integral Larmor precessions are measured after recoil implantation into a polarized Fe foil. The calculation of g-factors is also carried out in terms of a semi-classical model of independent particle angular momentum coupling on the basis of the four-quasiparticle configuration π（99/2）^2 Оπ（p3/2, f5/2） О v （g9/2）. The measured and calculated g-factors are in good agreement with each other. The g-factors and deduced shear angles decrease with the increase of spin along the band. This clearly illustrates the shear effect of a step-by-step alignment of the valence protons and neutrons in magnetic rotation. The semi-classical calculation also shows that the alignment of the valence neutron angular momentum is faster than that of the valence protons, which results in a decrease of g-factors with increasing spin. The present results provide solid evidence of the shear mechanism of magnetic rotation.
