Nontuberculous mycobacteria(NTM)are opportunistic pathogens of environmental origin that can cause human infections in a wide variety of tissues[1].Lung involvement is the most common manifestation of NTM infection[1].The symptoms and radiographic signs are similar to those of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis(TB)who are infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex(MTBC)[1].Most NTM species are naturally resistant to first-line anti-TB drugs and have different resistance profiles,thus misdiagnosis leads to inappropriate treatment and increases the risk of poor prognosis for patients with an NTM infection,and even wider spread through person-to-person contact[2].

Objective To describe hypertension screening and follow-up management among Chinese population aged 35 years and above within the primary health care system. Methods Data from 2010 China chronic disease and Risk Factor Surveillance System were used. We investigated previous hypertension diagnosis, screening, and follow-up assessments within the primary health care system. The prevalence of self-reported and criterion-based hypertension, screening rates, demographic and socioeconomic characteristics associated with screening, and patterns of follow-up assessments were recorded. The SAS software system was used for statistical analyses. Results About 17.1% reported a previous hypertension diagnosis. The rate difference between the two measures of prevalence was 27.2%. Among those without self-reported hypertension, 27.7% reported never visiting a clinic during the past I year and 60.4% of those attending a clinic reported ever being screened. Younger age group was associated with lower screening proportion; odds ratios of 35-, 45-, 55-, and 〉65 years were 1.7 （95% CI： 1.5-1.9）, 1.5 （95% CI： 1.3-1.7）, 1.3 （95% CI： 1.2-1.4）, and 1.0, respectively. About 35.1% of the patients had undergone follow-up assessments four or more times during the past I year. Conclusion Majority of the Chinese population aged 35 years and above, particularly the less educated, elderly population, and rural residents were unaware of that they were suffering from hypertension. Most patients did not receive enough management services by the primary health care system. Thus, strengthening both the screening and follow-up management is needed.

Metabolic syndrome has become a global epidemic that adversely affects human health. Both genetic and environmental factors contribute to the pathogenesis of metabolic disorders; however, the mechanisms that integrate these cues to regulate metabolic physiology and the development of metabolic disorders remain incompletely defined. Emerging evidence suggests that SWlISNF *** complexes are critical for directing metabolic reprogramming and adaptation in response to nutritional and other physiological sigrials. The ATP-dependent SWl/SNF ing complexes comprise up to 11 subunits, among which the BAF60 subunit serves as a key link between the core complexes and specific transcriptional factors. The BAF60 subunit has three members, BAF60a, b, and c. The distinct tissue distribution patterns and regulatory mechanisms of BAF60 proteins confer each isoform with specialized functions in different m^abolic cell types. In this review, we summarize the emerging roles and mechanisms of BAF60 proteins in the regulation of nutrient sensing and energy metabolism under physiological and disease conditions.

AIM To investigate the impact of medication beliefs, illness perceptions and quality of life on medication adherence in people with decompensated *** One hundred adults with decompensated cirrhosis completed a structured questionnaire when they attended for routine outpatient hepatology review. Measures of self-reported medication adherence(Morisky Medication Adherence Scale), beliefs surrounding medications(Beliefs about Medicines Questionnaire), perceptions of illness and medicines(Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire), and quality of life(chronic Liver disease Questionnaire) were examined. Clinical data were obtained via patient history and review of medical records. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator and stepwise backwards regression techniques were used to construct the multivariable logistic regression model. Statistical significance was set at alpha = *** Medication adherence was " High " in 42 % o f participants, "Medium" in 37%, and "Low" in 21%. Compared to patients with "High" adherence, those with "Medium" or "Low" adherence were more likely to report difficulty affording their medications(P < 0.001), lower perception of treatment helpfulness(P = 0.003) and stronger medication concerns relative to medication necessity beliefs(P = 0.003). People with "Low" adherence also experienced greater symptom burden and poorer quality of life, including more frequent abdominal pain(P = 0.023), shortness of breath(P = 0.030), and emotional disturbances(P = 0.050). The liver is a lymphoid organ with unique immunological properties,particularly,its predominant innate immune *** balance between immune tolerance and immune activity is critical to liver physiological functions and is responsible for the sensitivity of this organ to numerous diseases,including hepatotropic virus infection,alcoholic liver disease,nonalcoholic fatty liver disease,autoimmune liver disease,and liver cancer,which are major health problems *** the past decade,with the discovery of liver-resident natural killer cells,the importance of innate lymphocytes with tissue residency has gradually become the focus of *** this review,we address the current knowledge regarding hepatic innate lymphocytes with unique characteristics,including NK cells,ILC1/2/3s,NKT cells,γδ T cells,and MAIT cells,and their potential roles in liver homeostasis maintenance and the progression of liver diseases and cancer.A better understanding of the immunopathogenesis of hepatic innate lymphocytes will be helpful for proposing effective treatments for liver diseases and cancer.
