Causal effect of psoriasis on aortic valve stenosis:a two-sample Mendelian randomization study

Background Epidemiological studies have suggested a potential connection between psoriasis and an increased risk of aortic valve stenosis(AS),though the impact of psoriasis on AS progression remains *** study aims to investigate the causal relationship between psoriasis and AS using Mendelian randomization(MR)analysis,as well as to uncover potential mechanisms underlying this *** A two-sample MR analysis was conducted using publicly available summary statistics from genome-wide association studies(GWAS)of psoriasis and ***-eQTL and significant genes were identified for each causal single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs),followed by pathway enrichment and protein-protein interaction(PPI)analysis for functional *** genes were pinpointed by *** transcriptional profile of AS population was acquired,and interconnected genes networks were clustered using Molecular Complex Detection(MCODE).Results Our results demonstrate a significant causal relationship between psoriasis and AS,with a genetic predisposition to psoriasis associated with a higher AS risk(odds ratio:1.46).Pathway and PPI analyses unveiled 15 hub genes,including HLA-C,HLA-B,ISG15,IFIT3,and MX2,along with immune-related pathways linking psoriasis and ***,the transcriptional profiling of the AS database highlighted the significant involvement of adaptive immune cells in AS ***,among the 15 hub genes,ISG15,MX2,OAS3,OASL,IFI6,and EPSTI1 exhibited higher expression in the AS *** Our study provides compelling evidence supporting a causal relationship between psoriasis and ***,the identified hub genes and immune-related pathways may play an important role in the development of both diseases.

Optical emission spectroscopic measurement of trace rare gas is carried out to determine the density of nitrogen （N） atom, in a nitrogen plasma, as a function of filling pressure and RF power applied. 2% of argon, used as an actinometer, is mixed with nitrogen. In order to normalize the changes in the excitation cross section and electron energy distribution function at different operational conditions, the Ar-I emission line at 419.83 nm is used, which is of nearly the same excitation efficiency coefficient as that of the nitrogen emission line at 493.51 nm. It is observed that the emission intensity of the selected argon and atomic nitrogen lines increases with both pressure and RF power, as does the nitrogen atomic density.

In the framework of the Skyrme–Hartree–Fock–Bogoliubov approach with the Sk T interaction, the pairing effects on the proton bubble structures of ^(46)Ar and ^(206)Hg are discussed. In calculations, three kinds of pairing forces (volume, surface and mixed pairing interactions) are used. For ^(46)Ar, it is shown that the bubble structure with the volume pairing is almost the same as that with the mixed pairing. The bubble with the surface pairing is less pronounced than those with the volume and mixed pairings. Analyzing the density distributions and occupation probabilities of the proton s states and the quasi-degeneracy between the proton 2s_(1/2) and 1d_(3/2) orbitals, we explain the difference between the bubble structure with the surface pairing and those with the volume and mixed pairings. For ^(206)Hg, it is seen that the proton density distribution with the surface pairing is different from those with the volume and mixed pairings in the whole region of the radial distance. In addition, it is found that the bubbles with the three pairing forces are different from each other and the least pronounced bubble is obtained with the surface pairing. Thus the selection of the pairing force is important for the study of the nuclear bubble structure.

Structural,electronic,and magnetic properties of new predicted half-Heusler YCrSb and YMnSb compounds within the ordered MgAgAs Clb-type structure are investigated by employing first-principal calculations based on density functional *** the calculated total energies of three possible atomic placements,we find the most stable structures regarding YCrSb and YMnSb materials,where Y,Cr(Mn),and Sb atoms occupy the(0.5,0.5,0.5),(0.25,0.25,0.25),and(0,0,0) positions,***,structural properties are explored for the non-magnetic and ferromagnetic and anti-ferromagnetic states and it is found that both materials prefer ferromagnetic *** electronic band structure shows that YCrSb has a direct band gap of 0.78 eV while YMnSb has an indirect band gap of 0.40 eV in the majority spin *** findings show that YCrSb and YMnSb materials exhibit half-metallic characteristics at their optimized lattice constants of 6.67  and 6.56 ,*** half-metallicities associated with YCrSb and YMnSb are found to be robust under large in-plane strains which make them potential contenders for spintronic applications.

This paper studies the constraint conditions for coherence destruction in tunneling by using perturbation theory and numerical simulation for an AC-field with bias and Coulomb interaction between electrons in a quantum dot molecule. Such conditions can be described by using the roots of a Bessel function Jn（x）, where n is determined by both the bias and the Coulomb interactions, and x is the ratio of the amplitude to the frequency of the AC-field. Under such conditions, a coherent suppression of tunneling occurs between localized electronic states, which results from the dynamical localization phenomenon. All the conditions are verified with numerical simulations.

The enhancement characteristics of the local field in the surface plasmon nanocavities are investigated numerically. The cavity is constructed by placing a defect structure in the thickness-modulated metal-insulator-metal waveguide Bragg gratings. The characteristic impedance based transfer matrix method is used to calculate the transmission spectra and the resonant wavelength of the cavities with various geometric parameters. The finite-difference time- domain method is used to obtain the field pattern of the resonant mode and validate the results of the transfer matrix method. The calculation and simulation results reveal the existence of resonant wavelength shift and intensity variation with structural parameters, such as the modulation period of the gratings, the length and the width of the defect structure. Both numerical analysis and theoretical interpretation on these phenomena are given in details.

The high local recurrence rate of pancreatic cancer after surgery is one of the important risk factors affecting patient *** traditionally used silicone tube stent is not only complicated to operate but also lacks antitumor *** purpose of this study was to develop a dual-layer drug-coated pancreaticojejunostomy *** coating consisted of two layers,an outer basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)coating layer and an inner nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel(nab-PTX)coating layer with chitosan as the drug-carrying *** to the diffusion barrier from the outer coating,the release of nab-PTX from the inner layer was delayed and slowed *** studied the degradation rates,mechanical properties,surface morphologies,drug release kinetics,promoting the growth of fibroblasts and antitumor properties of the coated *** was found that 100 ng of bFGF and 50µg of nab-PTX were suitable drug concentrations that can effectively promote the growth of fibroblasts and inhibit pancreatic cancer *** results also confirmed that the dual-layer drug-coated pancreaticojejunostomy device showed good antitumor activity both in vitro and in vivo without obvious systemic *** addition,the device has a suitable degradation *** conclusion,this biodegradable dual-layer drug-coated pancreaticojejunostomy device can potentially inhibit the local recurrence of pancreatic cancer after surgery and promote the healing of pancreaticointestinal *** device has great potential to treat pancreatic cancer in the future.

Quasinormal Modes of a Coupled Scalar Field in the Acoustic Black Hole Spacetime

By using the third-order Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin approximation and the monodromy methods, the quasnormal modes of a coupled scalar field in the canonical non-rotating acoustic black hole spacetime are investigated. It is shown that the coupling between the scalar field and background metric affects the quasinormal frequencies. At low overtones, both the real part and the magnitude of imaginary part increase with the couple factor ξ. For the larger ξ, both of them are almost linearly related to the couple factor. At high overtones, it is found that the frequency formula of the quasinormal modes is 2πω/κ = ln （ 1 ＋ 2 cos√9-24ξ/5 π） - i（2n ＋ 1）π, which means that 5 when ξ is larger, the real part is the linear function of ξ^1/2.
