Chronic primary immune thrombocytopenia(CITP) is the most common acquired autoimmune disease that seriously threaten the physical and mental health of patients. Compared with Western medicine treatment, the intervention and treatment of Chinese medicine(CM) has shown certain therapeutic advantages. This paper reviewed the new pathogenesis progress on T cell immune abnormality in CITP, and CM studies on interferes effects of cellular immune regulation of CITP in recent years. Qi deficiency failing to control blood and internal obstruction of blood stasis are the two common types of CM syndromes in CITP patients, the corresponding treatments include invigorating Pi(Spleen), supplementing qi, activating blood, as well as tonifying qi and activating yang, regulating Gan(Liver) to invigorate Pi. The authors also mentioned the problems in the research field of CM for CTIP treatment, and put forward new ideas for the research in the future.

BACKGROUND Toxic epidermal necrolysis(TEN)is often associated with skin wounds affecting large *** of this type of wound is difficult because of pressure,infection and other *** can increase the length of hospital stay and result in wound sepsis and even *** SUMMARY A 49-year-old woman developed a skin lesion covering 80%of the total body surface area after using a kind of Chinese medicinal ointment on a burn wound on her back;she developed life-threatening wound sepsis and septic ***-resistant Staphylococcus aureus,carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii,carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other bacteria were cultured from wound tissue,deep venous catheter and blood *** cilastatin sodium,tigecycline and teicoplanin were used for anti-infection ***,the patient was transferred to the burn department because of severe wound *** the burn intensive care unit,pain-free dressing changes and autologous scalp skin grafting were performed to heal the wound in addition to reasonable and effective antibacterial treatment according to microbial susceptibility test *** three operations within 2 wk,the wound healed and sepsis *** TEN patients with large areas of skin injury may develop wound infection and life-threatening wound *** scalp skin grafting may be beneficial for rapid wound healing and reducing the risk of sepsis in TEN patients,and it leaves no scar at the donor site.

Leiomyosarcoma of an artery is very rare, and cases with hepatic metastasis are even rarer. We describe a case of a 70-year-old man who after follow up due to rectal cancer, presented with an intra-abdominal hypervascular mass and a hepatic mass. After surgical resection, it was diagnosed as a leiomyosarcoma of the right gastroepiploic artery with hepatic metastasis. Multiple metastases had recurred at the liver. He has survived more than 53 mo through multimodal treatments(three surgical resections, radiofrequency ablation, transarterial chemoembolization, chemotherapies, and targeted therapy). Multimodal treatments, including active surgical resection, may behelpful in the treatment of aggressive diseases such as arterial leiomyosarcoma with metastasis.

Prostate cancer is the second most common male cancer, with half of all patients going on to develop metastases. To better identify patients at high risk for prostate cancer progression and reduce prostate cancer-related mortality, improved prognostic factors are required. In this study, we used immunohistochemistry （IHC） to determine the prognostic values of multiple tissue biomarkers in hormone-na＇l＇ve prostatectomy specimens of prostate cancer. Using 510 prostatectomy specimens collected between 2002 and 2012, IHC analysis was performed for Cerb-2, Cyclin D1, VEGF, EGFR, Rb, PSCA, p53, Bcl-2, Cox-2, PMS2, and Ki-67 on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections. The Cox proportional hazard model was used to determine the predictive risk factors for biochemical recurrence （BCR） of prostate cancer. During a median 44-month follow-up, 128 （25.1%） patients developed BCR. A multivariate regression analysis revealed that Ki-67 （hazard ratio [HR]. 1.60, P = 0.033）, PSCA （HR： 0.42, P 〈 0.001）, and Cox-2 （HR： 2.05, P = 0.003） were the only significant prognostic tissue markers of BCR. Resection margin status （HR： 1.67, P = 0.010）, pathologic pTO/l/2 stage （vs pT3/4; HR： 0.20, P = 0.002）, preoperative PSA levels （HR.. 1.03, P 〈 0.001）, biopsied （HR： 1.30, P = 0.022） and pathologic （HR： 1.42, P = 0.005） Gleason scores, and prostate size （HR： 0.97, P = 0.003） were significant clinicopathologic factors. The expression of Ki-67, PSCA, and Cox-2 biomarkers along with other clinicopathologic factors were prognostic factors for BCR in patients with clinically localized prostate cancer following radical prostatectomy.
