This research presents a novel nature-inspired metaheuristic algorithm called Frilled Lizard Optimization(FLO),which emulates the unique hunting behavior of frilled lizards in their natural *** draws its inspiration from the sit-and-wait hunting strategy of these *** algorithm’s core principles are meticulously detailed and mathematically structured into two distinct phases:(i)an exploration phase,which mimics the lizard’s sudden attack on its prey,and(ii)an exploitation phase,which simulates the lizard’s retreat to the treetops after *** assess FLO’s efficacy in addressing optimization problems,its performance is rigorously tested on fifty-two standard benchmark *** functions include unimodal,high-dimensional multimodal,and fixed-dimensional multimodal functions,as well as the challenging CEC 2017 test ***’s performance is benchmarked against twelve established metaheuristic algorithms,providing a comprehensive comparative *** simulation results demonstrate that FLO excels in both exploration and exploitation,effectively balancing these two critical aspects throughout the search *** balanced approach enables FLO to outperform several competing algorithms in numerous test ***,FLO is applied to twenty-two constrained optimization problems from the CEC 2011 test suite and four complex engineering design problems,further validating its robustness and versatility in solving real-world optimization ***,the study highlights FLO’s superior performance and its potential as a powerful tool for tackling a wide range of optimization problems.

The microstructural, phase transformation and magnetic properties of Ni Mn-Ga alloy fabricated using the spark plasma sintering method have been investigated. The results show that both the as-sintered and annealed sintered specimens exhibit typical martensitic transformation behaviours. The martensite of the sintered specimen after annealing exhibits a ferromagnetic nature. Moreover, study of the fracture surface indicates that the transgranular fracture con- tributes to the higher ductility of sintered Ni-Mn-Ga alloy. In addition, the transformation strain in sintered Ni-Mn-Ga alloy is studied for the first time.

For solid polymer electrolytes(SPEs),improving their mechanical and electrochemical properties is the key to obtaining batteries with higher safety and higher energy ***,a novel synergistic strategy proposed is preparing a 3D flame-retardant skeleton(3DPA)and adding nano-multifunctional fillers(Li-ILs@ZIF-8).In addition to providing mechanical support for the polyethylene oxide(PEO)matrix,3DPA also has further contributed to the system’s flame retardancy and further improved the ***,the electrochemical performance is fully guaranteed by rigid Li-ILs@ZIF-8,which provides fast migration channels forLi^(+),reduces the crystallinity of PEO and effectively inhibits lithium *** limiting oxygen index of the optimal sample(PL3Z/PA)is as high as 20.5%,and the ionic conductivity reaches 2.89×10^(-4) and 0.91×10^(-3) S cm^(-1) at 25 and 55°C,*** assembled Li|PL3Z/PA|Li battery can be cycled stably for more than 1000 h at a current density of 0.1 m A cm^(-2) without short circuit being pierced by lithium *** specific capacity of the LFP|PL3Z/PA|Li battery was 160.5 m Ah g^(-1) under a current density of 0.5 C,and the capacity retention rate was 90.0%after 300 cycles.

在这项工作中,我们报道了一种新颖的一维金属有机框架（MOF）,其通过自硫化衍生获得具有优异析氧性能（OER）的过渡金属硫化物,而无需额外硫源.热解后,含有Co离子的金属节点和1-苯基-5-巯基四唑（PMTA）作为配体的MOFs转化为N、S共掺杂的Co9S8@NSC一维多孔纳米管.此外,PMTA作为配体还可以与其他过渡金属（如Fe、Ni和Cu）形成金属多孔配位聚合物,这使得利用PMTA制备通用过渡金属硫化物电催化剂的方法成为可能.当N、S共掺杂的Co9S8@NSC多孔纳米管作为OER的电催化剂时,表现出优异的OER性能,在10 mA cm-2电流密度下,其过电势仅为248 mV,并具有良好的长期稳定性.这项工作为合理设计和开发具有实际应用潜力的非贵金属硫化物提供了新的见解和启发.

Discovering new superconductors via traditional trial-and-error experimental approaches is apparently a time-consuming process,and the correlations between the critical temperature(Tc) and material features are still *** rise of machine learning(ML) technology provides new opportunities to speed up inefficient exploration processes,and could potentially uncover new hints on the unclear *** this work,we utilize open-source materials data,ML models,and data mining methods to explore the correlation between the chemical features and Tcvalues of superconducting *** further improve the prediction accuracy,a new model is created by integrating three basic algorithms,showing an enhanced accuracy with the coefficient of determination(R2) score of 95.9 % and root mean square error(RMSE) of 6.3 *** average marginal contributions of material features towards Tcvalues are estimated to determine the importance of various features during prediction *** results suggest that the range thermal conductivity plays a critical role in Tcprediction among all element ***,the integrated ML model is utilized to screen out potential twenty superconducting materials with Tcvalues beyond 50.0 *** study provides insights towards Tcprediction to accelerate the exploration of potential high-Tcsuperconductors.

To optimize the investment casting process when producing high quality large-size titanium alloy thin-wall components is a time-consuming job due to the complicated metallurgical process. Numerical simulation is a high-efficiency method compared with trial and error, and therefore is introduced to the investment casting process optimization to shorten the new product development cycle and reduce the production cost. In this study, weakly compressible model(WCM) and ununiformed finite difference mesh(UFDM) was developed to reduce the memory consumption and ensure the simulation efficiency. The precision of the WCM and UFDM were verified by numerical simulation of cavity heat convection in a square cavity and hydraulics simulation of centrifugal filling in a transparent cavity. The numerical simulation of the investment casting process of a titanium alloy thin-wall casing under different process conditions was accomplished using a self-developed software, and the distribution characteristics of potential shrinkage defects were predicted. It was found that the predicted defects in the titanium alloy casing matched well with the actual X-ray experimental results. For the components investigated in this paper, more numerical simulation results show that the centrifugal casting process with respect to gravity casting had no obvious improvements in the concentrated shrinkage defects, and the gravity casting process can be more reasonable from the engineering point of view.

Structural and luminescent properties of (Eu,Tb) PO_4·H_2O nanorods/nanowires prepared by microwave technique

Nanowires/nanorods of europium/terbium orthophosphate monohydrate with Eu^3＋ concentration of 6, 11, and 20 at.% were prepared by microwave synthesis method. The effects of Eu^3＋ doping concentration on structure, morphology and optical properties of nanomaterials were also investigated. The results showed that, for all studied Eu^3＋ doping concentrations, a single-crystalline phase of rhabdophane-type （Eu,Tb）PO4·H2O nanowires/nanorods was obtained by using microwave heating of an aqueous solution of terbium（Ⅲ） nitrate, europium（Ⅲ） nitrate and NH4H2PO4 with pH=2. The length and width of these nanowires/nanorods ranged from 150 to 300 nm and from 10 to 50 nm, respectively. The evidence of energy transfer from Tb^3＋ to Eu^3＋ due to the energy overlap between the donor Tb^3＋ and the acceptor Eu^3＋was observed obviously via a significant enhancement in the luminescent intensity of Eu^3＋. Indoor localization systems are crucial in addressing the limitations of traditional global positioning system(GPS)in indoor environments due to signal attenuation *** complex indoor spaces become more sophisticated,indoor localization systems become essential for improving user experience,safety,and operational *** localization methods based on Wi-Fi fingerprints require a high-density location fingerprint database,but this can increase the computational burden in the online *** networks,which integrate prior knowledge or domain expertise,are an effective solution for accurately determining indoor user *** networks use probabilistic reasoning to model relationships among various localization parameters for indoor environments that are challenging to *** article proposes an adaptive Bayesian model for multi-floor environments based on fingerprinting techniques to minimize errors in estimating user *** proposed system is an off-the-shelf solution that uses existing Wi-Fi infrastructures to estimate user’s *** operates in both online and offline *** the offline phase,a mobile device with Wi-Fi capability collects radio signals,while in the online phase,generating samples using Gibbs sampling based on the proposed Bayesian model and radio map to predict user’s *** results unequivocally showcase the superior performance of the proposed model when compared to other existing models and *** proposed model achieved an impressive lower average localization error,surpassing the accuracy of competing ***,this noteworthy achievement was attained with minimal reliance on reference points,underscoring the efficiency and efficacy of the proposed model in accurately estimating user locations in indoor environments.
