Lead-free perovskite Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)photodetector detecting NIR light driven by titanium nitride plasmonic hot holes

Lead-free perovskite Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)manifests great potential in developing high-performance,environmentally friendly,solution-processable photodetectors(PDs).However,due to the relatively large energy bandgap,the spectrum responses of Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)PDs are limited to the ultraviolet and visible region with wavelengths shorter than 560 *** this work,a broadband Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)PD covering the ultraviolet,visible,and near infrared(NIR)range is demonstrated by incorporating titanium nitride(TiN)nanoparticles that are prepared with the assistance of self-assembled polystyrene sphere *** addition,an atomically thick Al2O3layer is introduced at the interface between the Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)film and TiN nanoparticles to alleviate the dark current deterioration caused by nanoparticle *** a result,beyond the spectrum range where Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)absorbs light,the external quantum efficiency(EQE)of the TiN nanoparticle incorporated Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)PD is enhanced significantly compared with that of the control,displaying enhancement factors as high as 2000 over a broadband NIR wavelength *** demonstrated enhancement in EQE arises from the photocurrent contribution of plasmonic hot holes injected from TiN nanoparticles into Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6).This work promotes the development of broadband solution-processable perovskite PDs,providing a promising strategy for realizing photodetection in the NIR region.

Contacts between two general blocks are the fundamental problem for discontinuous analysis. There are different contact points in different block positions, and there may have infinite contact point pairs in the same block position. In this paper, a new concept of an entrance block for solving the contacts between two general blocks is introduced. The boundary of an entrance block is a contact cover system. Contact covers may consist of contact vectors, edges, angles or polygons. Each contact cover defines a contact point and all closed-contact points define the movements, rotations and deformations of all blocks as in real cases. Given a reference point, the concept of entrance block simplifies the contact computation in the following ways.(1) The shortest distance between two blocks can be computed by the shortest distance between the reference point and the surface of the entrance block.(2) As the reference point outside the entrance block moves onto the surface of entrance block, the first entrance takes place. This first entrance point on the entrance block surface defines the contact points and related contact locations.(3) If the reference point is already inside the entrance block, it will exit the entrance block along the shortest path. The corresponding shortest exit point on the entrance block surface defines the contact points and related contact locations. All blocks and angles here are defined by inequality equations. Algebraic operations on blocks and angles are described here. Since the blocks and angles are point sets with infinite points, the geometric computations are difficult, and therefore the geometric computations are performed by related algebraic operations.

Manipulating Nb-doped SrFeO_(3−δ)with excellent performance for proton-conducting solid oxide fuel cells

Nb-doped SrFeO_(3−δ)(SFO)is used as a cathode in proton-conducting solid oxide fuel cells(H-SOFCs).First-principles calculations show that the SrFe0.9Nb0.1O_(3−δ)(SFNO)cathode has a lower energy barrier in the cathode reaction for H-SOFCs than the Nb-free SrFeO_(3−δ)*** experimental studies show that Nb doping substantially enhances the performance of the SrFeO_(3−δ)***,oxygen vacancies(VO)were introduced into SFNO using the microwave sintering method,further improving the performance of the SFNO *** mechanism behind the performance improvement owing to VO was revealed using first-principles calculations,with further optimization of the SFNO cathode achieved by developing a suitable wet chemical synthesis route to prepare nanosized SFNO *** method significantly reduces the grain size of SFNO compared with the conventional solid-state reaction method,although the solid-state reaction method is generally used for preparing Nb-containing *** a result of defect engineering and synthesis approaches,the SFNO cathode achieved an attractive fuel cell performance,attaining an output of 1764 mW·cm−2 at 700℃ and operating for more than 200 *** manipulation of Nb-doped SrFeO_(3−δ)can be seen as a“one stone,two birds”strategy,enhancing cathode performance while retaining good stability,thus providing an interesting approach for constructing high-performance cathodes for H-SOFCs.

Dynamic analysis on pressure fluctuation in vaneless region of a pump turbine

As the pump turbine tends to be operated with high head and high rotational speed, the study of stability problems becomes more important. The pump turbine usually works at operating conditions where the guide vanes experience strong vibrations. However, most traditional studies were carried out based on constant GVO(guide vane opening) simulations. In this work, dynamic analysis on pressure fluctuation in the vaneless region of a pump turbine model was conducted using a dynamic mesh method in turbine mode. 3D unsteady simulations were conducted where GVO was closed and opened by 1° from the initial 18°. Detailed time domain and frequency domain characteristics on pressure fluctuation in the vaneless region under different guide vane rotational states compared with constant GVO simulations were investigated. Results show that, during the guide vanes oscillating process, the low and intermediate frequency components in the vaneless region are significantly different. The amplitudes of pressure fluctuation are higher than those with constant GVO simulations, which agree better with the experimental data. In addition, the pressure fluctuation increases when GVO is opened, and vice versa. It can be concluded that pressure fluctuation in the vaneless region is strongly influenced by the oscillating of the guide vanes.

A highly reduced Mo_(74) polyoxometalate featuring high proton conductivity accessed by building block strategy

Highly reduced polyoxometalates(POMs) are predicted to be used as rather high energy density materials;however,it still suffers from the limited cluster species and reduction *** we demonstrate that it is possible to employ the building block strategy to generate a highly reduced polyoxomolybdate(C_(2)H_(8)N)_(14)(NH_(4))_(4)H_(14)[Mo_(48)-ⅤMo_(26)ⅥO_(202)(OH)_(12)(SO_(4))_(6)]·46H_(2)O(Mo_(74)).The fundamental Mo-based{Mo_x}(x=4,5,and 6) building blocks,which are templated by tetra-coordinated anions{MoO_(4)}or{SO_(4)},not only lay foundation for the formation of Mo_(74) featuring an unprecedented reduction ratio of 65%,but also give rise to SBBs-mediated(secondary building blocks) supramolecular dense packing interactions among the isolated Mo_(74) clusters that are favorable for proton ***,high proton conductivity(2.04×10^(-2)S cm^(-1)) had been realized at 50℃ and 90% relative humidity,revealing one of the well-known POMs-based crystalline proton conducting *** result highlights that this building block approach possesses great potential in producing highly reduced POM systems that can achieve controllable reduced ratio and desirable properties.

Electrosynthesis of hydroxylamine from nitrate reduction in water

Hydroxylamine(NH_(2)OH),a vital but unstable industrial feedstock,is presently prepared under harsh conditions that cause environmental and energy ***,we report an electrochemical method to prepare oximes,which serve as precursors for NH_(2)OH after facile *** carbon-supported amorphous Mn electrocatalyst delivers a current density of~100 mA cm^(-2) with a Faradaic efficiency of 40.92%and a yield rate of 0.251 mmol cm^(-2)h^(-1) for formaldoxime(CH_(2)NOH)generation by using nitrate and formaldehyde as *** can be easily released to produce NH_(2)OH via ***,this method exhibits an economic advantage over conventional manufacturing based on techno-economic analysis.A series of control experiments,in situ characterizations,and theoretical simulations unveil the reaction mechanism via the spontaneous reaction between an aldehyde and*NH_(2)OH intermediate derived from nitrate *** high activity of Mn originates from its inhibitory effects on the further reduction of key*NH_(2)OH *** strategy opens a sustainable and green way for NH_(2)OH synthesis under mild conditions using renewable energy.

Performance comparison for oil-water heat transfer of circumferential overlap trisection helical baffle heat exchanger

The performance tests were conducted on oil–water heat transfer in circumferential overlap trisection helical baffle heat exchangers with incline angles of 12°, 16°, 20°, 24° and 28°, and compared with a segmental baffle heat exchanger. The results show that the shell side heat transfer coefficient h_o and pressure drop Δp_o both increase while the comprehensive index h_o/Δp_o decreases with the increase of the mass flow rate of all schemes. And the shell side heat transfer coefficient, pressure drop and the comprehensive index ho/Δpo decrease with the increase of the baffle incline angle at a certain mass flow rate. The average values of shell side heat transfer coefficient and the comprehensive index h_o/Δp_o of the 12° helical baffled scheme are above 50% higher than those of the segmental one correspondingly, while the pressure drop value is very close and the ratios of the average values are about 1.664 and 1.596, respectively. The shell-side Nusselt number Nu_o and the comprehensive index Nu_o·Eu_(zo)^(-1) increase with the increase of Reynolds number of the shell side axial in all schemes, and the results also demonstrate that the small incline angled helical scheme has better comprehensive performance.
