The vibration modes of crystal NENP[Ni(C_(2)h_(8)N_(2))_(2)NO_(2)ClO_(4)]in the wavenumber range of 50-5000cm_(-1) are studied by the infrared rejection spectra,.The dielectric function property of the sample is obtained by the Kramers-Kronin calculation on the reilGction *** dielectric function polarization property induced by the vibration mode polaiization in far infrared region is investignted.

Mechanism of terahertz (Thz) pulse generation in gases irradiated by ultrashort laser pulses is investigated theoretically. Quasi-static transverse currents produced by laser field ionization of gases and the longitudinal modulation in formed plasmas are responsible for the Thz emission at the electron plasma frequency, as demonstrated by particle-in-cell simulations including field ionization. The Thz field amplitude scaling with the laser amplitude within a large range is also discussed.

Although IL-12 plays a critical role in priming Th1 and cytotoxic T lymphocyte(CTL) responses, Toll-like receptor(TLR) signaling only induces low amounts of IL-12 in dendritic cells and macrophages, implying the existence of stringent regulatory mechanisms. In this study, we sought to uncover the mechanisms underlying TLR-induced IL-12 expression and the Th1 response. By systemic screening, we identified a number of protein kinases involved in the regulation of TLRinduced IL-12 expression. In particular, PI3 K, ERK, and m TOR play critical roles in the TLR-induced Th1 response by regulating IL-12 and IL-10 production in innate immune cells. Moreover, we identified c-fos as a key molecule that mediates m TOR-regulated IL-12 and IL-10 expression in TLR signaling. Mechanistically, m TOR plays a crucial role in c-fos expression, thereby modulating NFκB binding to promoters of IL-12 and IL-10. By controlling the expression of a special innate gene program, m TOR can specifically regulate the TLR-induced T cell response in vivo. Furthermore, blockade of m TOR by rapamycin efficiently boosted TLR-induced antigen-specific T and B cell responses to hBV and hCV vaccines. Taken together, these results reveal a novel mechanism through which m TOR regulates TLR-induced IL-12 and IL-10 production, contributing new insights for strategies to improve vaccine efficacy.

The improved laser-to-pedestal contrast ratio enabled by current high-power laser pulse cleaning techniques allows the fine features of the target survive before the main laser pulse arrives. We propose to introduce the nano-fabrication technologies into laser–plasma interaction to explore the novel effects of micro-structures. We found out that not only laser-driven particle sources but also the laser pulse itself can be manipulated by specifically designed micro-cylinder and-tube targets, respectively. The proposal was supported by full-3d particle-in-cell simulations and successful proofof-principle experiments for the first time. We believe this would open a way to manipulate relativistic laser–plasma interaction at the micro-size level.

The influence of the electropolishing and anodization voltage on surface morphology has been carefully studied for fabrication of ordered anodic aluminum oxide （AAO） templates. In accordance with that in the anodization experiment, the size of small patterns on the foil surface formed from the electropolishing treatment increases with voltage. Using a combined method of small-voltage eleetropolishing and anodization, we have fabricated well ordered templates with much smaller interpore distances compared with that under normal-voltage fabrication conditions. The Ni nanowire arrays with two small diameters are eleetrodeposited through the above templates, exhibiting different magnetic properties. This also helps us to clarify the inner structure of this kind of templates.

The hygroscopicity and optical properties of alkylaminium sulfates （AASs） were investigated using a hygroscopicity tandem differential mobility analyzer coupled to a cavity ring-down spectrometer and a nephelometer. AAS particles do not exhibit a deliquescence phenomenon and show a monotonic increase in diameter as the relative humidity （Rh） ascends. hygroscopic growth factors （GFs） for 40, 100 and 150 nm alkylaminium sulfate particles do not show an apparent Kelvin effect when Rh is less than 45%, whereas GFs of the salt aerosols increase with initial particle size when Rh is higher than 45%. Calculation using the Zdanovskii-Stokes-Robinson mixing rule suggests that hygroscopic growth of triethylaminium sulfate-ammonium sulfate mixtures is non-deliquescent, occurring at very low Rh, implying that the displacement of ammonia by amine will significantly enhance the hygroscopicity of （Nh4）2SO4 aerosols. In addition, light extinction of AAS particles is a combined effect of both scattering and absorption under dry conditions, but is dominated by scattering under wet conditions.

dans la note précédente,nous avons démontré, expérimentalement, l’im-portance de l’hbernation sur la maturation ovulaire du Crapaud asiatique(Bufobufo asiaticus=Bufo bufo gargarizans).Il s’agit maintenant de faire une analyseplus approfondie de ce problème écologique en organisant une série d’expériencesqui vont nous démontrer qu’une bonne nutrition et une température relativementélevée(25—28℃)favorisent indiscutablement l’ovogenèse qui peut se répéterplusieurs fois dans une seule année, bien que les ovules soient insensibles àl’action hormonale et que la maturation ne s’obtienne pas sur les oeufs d’unefemelle qui n’a pas subi l’hibernation.

The nucleotide sequence of 5S rRNA from the posterior silk gland of the silk worm Philosamia cynthia ricini has been determined. The comparison with other insect 5S rRNAs revealed an exceptionally conserved secondary structure, in spite of an extremely high mutation rate: Thirteen nucleotides are different in Philosamia and drosophila 5S rRNA, but all substitutions are either compensatory or occur in loops or introduce G:U base pairs. The rates of base substitution per site per year of several insect species (diptera and lepidoptera) 5S and 5.8S rRNAs are compared with those occurring in vertebrate rRNAs. In the latter cases the rates are remarkably constant, whereas their value is not only about twofold higher in insect rRNAs, but is found to be extremely large in the 5S rRNA of the silkworm Bombyx mori. These data demonstrate that phylogcnetic conclusions derived from small rRNA sequence comparisons are only of limited value.

during organ development, many key regulators have been identified in plant genomes, which play a conserved role among plant species to control the organ identities and/or determine the organ size and shape. It is intriguing whether these key regulators can acquire diverse function and be integrated into different molecular pathways among different species, giving rise to the immense diversity of organ forms in nature. In this study, we have characterized and cloned LAThYROIdeS （LATh）, a classical locus in pea, whose mutation displays pleiotropic alteration of lateral growth of organs and predominant effects on tendril and dorsal petal development. LATh encodes a WUSChEL-related home- oboxl （WOX1） transcription factor, which has a conserved function in determining organ lateral growth among different plant species. Furthermore, we showed that LATh regulated the expression level of TENdRIL-LESS （TL）, a key factor in the control of tendril development in compound leaf, and LATh genetically interacted with LOBEd STANdARd （LST）, a floral dorsal factor, to affect the dorsal petal identity. Thus, LATh plays multiple roles during organ development in pea： it maintains a conserved function controlling organ lateral outgrowth, and modulates organ identities in compound leaf and zygomorphic flower development, respectively. Our data indicated that a key regulator can play important roles in different aspects of organ development and dedicate to the complexity of the molecular mechanism in the control of organ development so as to create distinct organ forms in different species.
