Since severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS‐CoV‐2)was first identified during late 2019,the sustained spread of this pathogen within the human population has caused worldwide disruption with staggering infection rates and death *** to the accumulation of mutations in SARS‐CoV‐2,the virus has evolved into many variants,five of which have been listed as variants of concern VOCs by the World health Organization(WhO).Multiple animal models of SARS‐CoV‐2 have been developed to evaluate vaccines and drugs and to assess the pathogenicity,transmissibility and antiviral measures of these ***,we review the cutting‐edge research based on mouse,hamster,ferret and non‐human primate models for evaluating SARS‐CoV‐2 with a focus on the Omicron variant,and highlight the importance of updating vaccines in a timely manner in order to mitigate the negative effects of SARS‐CoV‐2 infections in the human population.

In ultrafast optical imaging,it is critical to obtain the spatial structure,temporal evolution,and spectral composition of the object with snapshots in order to better observe and understand unrepeatable or irreversible dynamic ***,so far,there are no ultrafast optical imaging techniques that can simultaneously capture the spatial–temporal–spectral five-dimensional(5d)information of dynamic *** break the limitation of the existing techniques in imaging dimensions,we develop a spectral-volumetric compressed ultrafast photography(SV-CUP)*** our SV-CUP,the spatial resolutions in the x,y and z directions are,respectively,0.39,0.35,and 3 mm with an 8.8 mm×6.3 mm field of view,the temporal frame interval is 2 ps,and the spectral frame interval is 1.72 *** demonstrate the excellent performance of our SV-CUP in spatial–temporal–spectral 5d imaging,we successfully measure the spectrally resolved photoluminescent dynamics of a 3d mannequin coated with CdSe quantum *** SV-CUP brings unprecedented detection capabilities to dynamic scenes,which has important application prospects in fundamental research and applied science.

We report systematic studies of laser-driven proton beams produced with micrometer-thick solid targets made of aluminum and plastic,*** effects of the target materials are found on the total charge,cutoff energy,and beam spot of protons in the experiments,and these are described well by two-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations incorporating intrinsic material *** is found that with a laser intensity of 8×10^(19) W/cm^(2),target normal sheath acceleration is the dominant mechanism for both types of *** a plastic target,the higher charge and cutoff energy of the protons are due to the greater energy coupling efficiencies from the intense laser beams,and the larger divergence angle of the protons is due to the deflection of hot electrons during transport in the *** also find that the energy loss of hot electrons in targets of different thickness has a significant effect on the proton cutoff *** consistent results obtained here further narrow the gap between simulations and experiments.

The distribution of ultraviolet(UV)radiation field provides critical constraints on the physical environments of molecular *** 1 kpc of our solar system and fostering protostars of different masses,the giant molecular clouds in the Gould Belt present an excellent opportunity to resolve the UV field structure in star-forming *** performed spectral energy distribution(SEd)fitting of the archival data from the herschel Gould Belt Survey(hGBS).dust radiative transfer analysis with the dUSTY code was applied to 23 regions in 14 molecular complexes of the Gould Belt,resulting in the spatial distribution of the radiation field in these *** 10 of 15 regions with independent measurements of star formation rate,their star formation rate and UV radiation intensity largely conform to a linear correlation found in previous studies.

Recent years have witnessed rapid progress in calculating parton distribution functions (PdFs), rather than just their moments, from lattice QCd [1-9]. The most remarkable aspect of such calculations is that one can connect appropriately chosen Euclidean correlation functions calculable on the lattice to PdFs through a perturbative matching relation. This can be understood in the framework of the large-momentum effective theory (LaMET)[10, 11].
