On the basis of determining the international comparison method and framework of the real estate market, this paper makes a comparative analysis on the development of China’s real estate market and those of some comparable countries (or regions). The prominent problem of the real estate market in our country is the rapid rise of urban house price and the high ratio of house price to income. The direct reason is that the social funds, especially the excessive credit funds flow into the real estate market. The indirect reason is that the land supply mode makes the land price increase too fast and account for high proportion in house price, which leads to the result that the development of real estate industry is beyond the stage of economic development. These problems are not isolated, but related to each other. The rapid rise of house prices in most of the cities, especially in the first-tier cities, is the comprehensive reflection of a large amount of credit funds promoting and the drawbacks of the land supply system in essence. The main ideas to solve the problem are correctly understanding the status, role and influence of the real estate market, stabilizing and improving the short-term control policy of the real estate market, and accelerating the establishment of a long-term mechanism for the healthy development of the real estate market.

The rheological properties in the supernatant of peach gum from Prunnus dulcis were discussed in order to provide more scientific technical parameters and references for developing peach gum as a kind of medicinal *** rheological properties in the supernatant of peach gum were comparatively studied in different material ratios,temperatures,shaking times,pH values and *** results show that,1) the mathematical model of shear rate with material ratio and shear stress is Y=0.069X12+0.035X2 -1.174,R2=0.942;2) the mathematical model of shear rate with temperature and shear stress is Y=4.936X12+0.023 2X2-1.688,R2=0.937;3) the mathematical model of shear rate with shaking time and shear stress is Y=0.005 192 X13-0.140 73X12+1.249 045X1+ 0.036 546 X2-3.644 29,R2=0.954 3;4) the effects of pH value on the rheological properties in the supernatant of peach gum are comparatively complicated with a varying range of 3-11 and the shear rate shows a change trend of saddle model;5) the mathematical model of shear rate with the concentration of NaCl and shear stress is Y=-0.037 44X1+0.012 93 X2,R2=0.998;6) the mathematical model of shear rate with the concentration of CaCl2 and shear stress is Y=0.025 789X1+0.016 19X2,R2 =0.999;and 7) the mathematical model of shear rate with the concentration of sorbic acid potassium and shear stress is Y=0.079 5X1+0.017 3X2,R2=*** results show that the material ratio,temperature,shaking time,pH value significantly affect the rheological properties in the supernatant of peach gum,and the concentrations of NaCl and CaCl2 also significantly affect the rheological properties expect the concentration of sorbic acid potassium.

We accelerate a double precision Alternating direction implicit(ADI) solver for three-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations from our in-house Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) software on the latest multi-core and many-core architectures(Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs, Intel Many integrated core(MIC) coprocessors and NVIDIA Kepler K20c GPUs). Some performance optimization techniques are detailed discussed. We provide an in-depth analysis on the performance difference between Sandy Bridge and MIC. Experimental results show that the proposed GPU-enabled ADI solver can achieve a speedup of 5.5 on a Kepler GPU in contrast to two Sandy Bridge CPUs and our optimization techniques can improve the performance of the ADI solver by 2.5-fold on two Sandy Bridge CPUs and 1.7-fold on an Intel MIC coprocessor. We perform a cross-platform performance analysis(between GPU and MIC), which serves as case studies for developers to select the right accelerators for their target applications.

This study developed a theoretical approach to understanding how a set amount of a granular bed is discharged from a tilted rotary kiln （an empty cylinder） once its particle size distribution （PSD） is known and slumping motion occurs. The basis of the study is that the preparation of material for thermal treat- ment inside a rotary kiln （pyrolysis, gasification, and]or combustion） involves shredding to a desired particle size. Further mechanical stress results from the feeder screws moving material from storage toward the reactor. The most common PSDs found in uniform size reduction processes and mechanical stresses are Gaussian, log-normal, and Rosin-Rammler, of which the latter best fits the PSD in our study. Different particle diameters in the distribution result in an axial segregation when a slumping motion occurs, resulting in particles of different diameters leaving the kiln at different instants. After develop- ing the model, the theoretical data showed good agreement when compared with experimental results obtained from downloading previously shredded carbonaceous material from a rotary kiln at 2 and 4 rpm rotational speeds. The mean residence times at steady state were determined for both rotational speeds and showed good agreement with data provided in the literature.

Profitability Analysis of Various Maize Value-Added Products in the North-West Region of Cameroon

Maize value-added products play a crucial role in reducing post-harvest losses, enhancing food security, and generating income. While extensive research has focused on maize production in Cameroon, the exploration of its value-added products and their profitability in the North-West Region remains underexplored. This study examined the profitability of maize value-added products in Mezam Division, with the objectives to: 1) identify various maize-based products, 2) assess the diversity of these products, 3) conduct a cost-benefit analysis of selected products, 4) examine the relationship between profitability and product diversity, and 5) identify key constraints impacting profitability. To achieve these objectives, structured questionnaires were administered to 500 small-scale maize entrepreneurs randomly selected from five subdivisions. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze objective 1 and 5, while the Shannon Diversity Index was employed to assess product diversity. Additionally, a cost-benefit analysis was conducted on four selected products namely pap, parched corn, peeled parboiled corn, and corn beer, and a correlation analysis was used to examine objective 4. In total, 13 maize value-added products were identified, with a diversity index of 4.4. The total cost of processing the four selected products per entrepreneur using 18 kg of maize per product was FCFA 83631.5 (US $132.75), while the total revenue was FCFA 121864.5 (US $193.43), resulting in an economic profit of FCFA 38,233 (US $60.69). Pap emerged as the most profitable product, with an economic profit of FCFA 27,875 (US $44.24), while corn beer was the least profitable, with an economic profit of FCFA 2133.46 (US $3.39). The correlation analysis revealed a strong negative relationship between product diversity and profitability (r = −0.91), indicating that entrepreneurs can maximize profitability by focusing on a few high-demand products like pap and parched corn.
