The pattern recognition methods and a four-parameter model, Eased on extension of Miedema's cellular model of alloy phases, are used to study the regularities of formation of ternary compounds between one transition element (T) and two non-transition elements (N, N') (T-N-N' system). The influences of phi (electronegativity), n(ws)(1/3)(valence electron density in Wagner-Seitz cell), R(Pauling's metallic radii) and Z (number of valence electrons in atom) on the formation of the ternary intermetallic compounds were investigated.

As intelligent vision tasks become more widespread, enhancing image quality before further computational analysis is crucial. Recently, deep learning has shown potential for automated pre-computing enhancement, but it typically requires substantial computational resources and is hard to adapt to in multiple situations without *** practice, image enhancement often demands flexible adjustments based on different situations and subsequent computation devices, such as optical computing. Therefore,we propose SAEnhancer, a situation-adaptive neural network for fast pre-computing image enhancement. It learns from a small sample set to achieve personalized and adaptive enhancements for various situations without re-training,using semantic-aware embedding for precise color adjustments, surpassing traditional 3D lookup tables (LUTs), and enhancing computational effectiveness in intelligent vision applications.

The technique of image retrieval is widely used in science experiment, military affairs, public security, advertisement, family entertainment, library and so on. The existing algorithms are mostly based on the characteristics of color, texture, shape and space relationship. This paper introduced an image retrieval algorithm, which is based on the matching of weighted EMD（Earth Mover’s Distance） distance and texture distance. EMD distance is the distance between the histograms of two images in HSV（Hue, Saturation, Value） color space, and texture distance is the L1 distance between the texture spectra of two images. The experimental results show that the retrieval rate can be increased obviously by using the proposed algorithm.

Straightforward techniques for spatial domain digital video editing (DVE) of compressed video via decompression and recompression are computationally expensive. In this paper, a novel algorithm was proposed for mirror-image special effect editing in compressed video without full frame decompression and motion estimation. The results show that with the reducing of computational complexity, the quality of edited video in compressed domain is still close to the quality of the edited video in uncompressed domain at the same bit rate.

As an effective image segmentation method, the standard fuzzy c-means （FCM） clustering algorithm is very sensitive to noise in images. Several modified FCM algorithms, using local spatial information, can overcome this problem to some degree. However, when the noise level in the image is high, these algorithms still cannot obtain satisfactory segmentation performance. In this paper, we introduce a non local spatial constraint term into the objective function of FCM and propose a fuzzy c- means clustering algorithm with non local spatial information （FCM_NLS）. FCM_NLS can deal more effectively with the image noise and preserve geometrical edges in the image. Performance evaluation experiments on synthetic and real images, especially magnetic resonance （MR） images, show that FCM NLS is more robust than both the standard FCM and the modified FCM algorithms using local spatial information for noisy image segmentation.

Many problems in image representation and classification involve some form of dimensionality reduction. Nonnegative matrix factorization （NMF） is a recently proposed unsupervised proc.dure for learning spatially localized, partsbased subspace representation of objects. An improvement of the classical NMF by combining with Log-Gabor wavelets to enhance its part-based learning ability is presented. The new method with principal component analysis （PCA） and locally linear embedding （LIE） proposed recently in Science are compared. Finally, the new method to several real world datasets and achieve good performance in representation and classification is applied.

This study uses event-triggered(ET) and reinforcement learning methods to investigate the optimal consensus control problem for cooperative-competitive multiagent systems. It proposes a novel distributed ET control strategy, which relies on a prioritized experience replay(PER) policy. This strategy not only conserves communication resources but also ensures acceptable system performance. To implement the proposed method, actor-critic(AC) dual-structured neural networks(NNs) are used to approximate the value function and control policy. In the AC NNs, the weight estimates for the NNs are updated at the moment of event triggering, resulting in a nonperiodic weight adjustment pattern. This approach decreases the computational cost in comparison with the traditional ET mechanism. The PER-based ET mechanism makes full use of valid historical data and effectively establishes a balance between system performance and communication resource ***, it does not require the following two conditions in most existing studies:(1) requirement of the system dynamics model to be known, and(2) persistent excitation. In addition, Zeno behavior is excluded from this study. Finally, a simulation is conducted to confirm the validity of the suggested approach.

To recognize circular objects rapidly in satellite remote sensing imagery, an approach using their geometry properties is presented. The original image is segmented to be a binary one by one dimension maximum entropy threshold algorithm and the binary image is labeled with an algorithm based on recursion technique. Then, shape parameters of all labeled regions are calculated and those regions with shape parameters satisfying certain conditions are recognized as circular objects. The algorithm is described in detail, and comparison experiments with the randomized Hough transformation （RHT） are also provided. The experimental results on synthetic images and real images show that the proposed method has the merits of fast recognition rate, high recognition efficiency and the ability of anti-noise and anti-jamming. In addition, the method performs well when some circular objects are little deformed and partly misshapen.

Motivated by the importance of Human visual system(HVS) in image proc.ssing, we propose a novel image signature based mean square error(ISMSE)metric for full reference image quality assessment(IQA).Efficient image signature based describer is used to predict visual saliency map of the reference image. The saliency map is incorporated into luminance difference between the reference and distorted images to obtain image quality score. The effect of luminance difference on visual quality with larger saliency value which is usually corresponding to foreground objects is highlighted. Experimental results on LIVE database release 2 show that by integrating the effects of image signature based saliency on luminance difference, the proposed ISMSE metric outperforms several state-of-the-art HVS-based IQA metrics but with lower complexity.

A new method to reconstruct 3D scene points from nonparallel stereo is proposed. From a pair of conjugate images in an arbitrarily configured stereo system that has been calibrated, coordinates of 3D scene points can be computed directly using the method, bypassing the proc.ss of rectifying images or iterative solution involved in existing methods. Experiment results from both simulated data and real images validate the method. Practical application to surgical navigator shows that the method has advantages to improve efficiency and accuracy of 3D reconstruction from nonparallel stereo system in comparison with the conventional method that employs algorithm for standard parallel axes stereo geometry.
