Transforming Education with Photogrammetry:Creating Realistic 3D Objects for Augmented Reality Applications

Augmented reality(AR)is an emerging dynamic technology that effectively supports education across different *** increased use of mobile devices has an even greater *** the demand for AR applications in education continues to increase,educators actively seek innovative and immersive methods to engage students in ***,exploring these possibilities also entails identifying and overcoming existing barriers to optimal educational ***,this surge in demand has prompted the identification of specific barriers,one of which is three-dimensional(3D)*** 3D objects for augmented reality education applications can be challenging and time-consuming for the *** address this,we have developed a pipeline that creates realistic 3D objects from the two-dimensional(2D)*** for augmented and virtual reality can then utilize these created 3D *** evaluated the proposed pipeline based on the usability of the 3D object and performance ***,with 117 respondents,the co-creation team was surveyed with openended questions to evaluate the precision of the 3D object created by the proposed photogrammetry *** analyzed the survey data using descriptive-analytical methods and found that the proposed pipeline produces 3D models that are positively accurate when compared to real-world objects,with an average mean score above *** study adds new knowledge in creating 3D objects for augmented reality applications by using the photogrammetry technique;finally,it discusses potential problems and future research directions for 3D objects in the education sector.

Due to the numerous variables to take into account as well as the inherent ambiguity and uncertainty,evaluating educational inst.tutions can be *** concept of a possibility Pythagorean fuzzy hypersoft set(pPyFHSS)is more flexible in this regard than other theoretical fuzzy set-like models,even though some attempts have been made in the literature to address such *** study investigates the elementary notions of pPyFHSS including its set-theoretic operations union,intersection,complement,OR-and *** results related to these operations are also modified for ***,the similarity measures between pPyFHSSs are formulated with the assistance of numerical examples and ***,an intelligent decision-assisted mechanism is developed with the proposal of a robust algorithm based on similarity measures for solving multi-attribute decision-making(MADM)problems.A case study that helps the decision-makers assess the best educational inst.tution is discussed to validate the suggested *** algorithmic results are compared with the most pertinent model to evaluate the adaptability of pPyFHSS,as it generalizes the classical possibility fuzzy set-like theoretical ***,while considering significant evaluating factors,the flexibility of pPyFHSS is observed through structural comparison.

Accuracy and Consistency of the Explicit-Invariant Energy Quadratization Approach for the Cahn-Hilliard Equation

It is well known that the explicit-invariant energy quadratization (EIEQ) approach can generate fully decoupled, linear and unconditionally energy-stable numerical schemes, so it is favored by many researchers. However, the undeniable fact is that the numerical method obtained by EIEQ approach preserves the “modified” energy law inst.ad of the original *** is mainly due to the introduction of some auxiliary variables in EIEQ scheme, and the truncation error will make the auxiliary variables deviate from the original definition in the process of numerical calculation. The primary objective of this paper is to address this gap by providing the accuracy and consistency of the EIEQ method in the context of the CahnHilliard equation. We introduce a relaxation technique for auxiliary variables and construct two numerical schemes based on EIEQ. The analysis results show that the newly constructed schemes are not only unconditionally energy stable, linear and fully decoupled, but also can effectively correct the errors introduced by auxiliary variables and follow the original energy ***, several 2D and 3D numerical examples illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of the newly constructed numerical schemes.

Effect of order–disorder transition on thermodynamic and electronic properties of σ and χ phases in W–Re alloy: the first-principles calculation

The Tungsten-Rhenium(W-Re) alloys,celebrated for their high melting point,strength at elevated temperatures,electrical resistivity,and radiation resistance,have been widely utilized in high-temperature components,aerospace,electronics,and nuclear *** constituents of the topologically close-packed(TCP) phases,the sigma phase(σ) and chi phase(χ) formed within W-Re alloys wield considerable influence on the mechanical properties and the stability of the *** calculations were utilized in the present work to explore the structural,thermodynamic,and electronic properties of both ordered and disordered configurations within the σ and χ phases,culminating in a systematic elucidation of the higher phase stability exhibited by the ordered *** is found that the bulk modulus of these two phases is directly proportional to the concentration of Re in the alloy,while the equilibrium volume is inversely *** thermodynamic parameters of the σ and χ phases are calculated via the mean-field potential *** similar trends observed in the isobaric heat capacity,enthalpy increment,and entropy change curves for these two phases suggest they possess comparable thermodynamic *** is noteworthy that the contribution of ionic vibrations predominantly affects the isobaric heat capacity,while the contribution of thermal electronic excitations increases linearly with *** the structure and thermodynamic properties of TCP phases in W-Re alloys at low temperatures has profound significance for optimizing material performance,microstructures features,establishing theoretical foundations,and predicting material behavior.

The discontinuous Petrov-Galerkin method for one-dimensional compressible Euler equations in the Lagrangian coordinate

In this paper, a Petrov-Galerkin scheme named the Runge-Kutta control volume （RKCV） discontinuous finite ele- ment method is constructed to solve the one-dimensional compressible Euler equations in the Lagrangian coordinate. Its advantages include preservation of the local conservation and a high resolution. Compared with the Runge-Kutta discon- tinuous Galerkin （RKDG） method, the RKCV method is easier to implement. Moreover, the advantages of the RKCV and the Lagrangian methods are combined in the new method. Several numerical examples are given to illustrate the accuracy and the reliability of the algorithm.

New solution bounds of the continuous algebraic Riccati equation and their applications in redundant control input systems

Redundant control inputs have wide applications in engineering, and have significant effects in quadratic performance optimal control, Hcontrol, tracking control, and many uncertain systems. In this paper, using some properties related to the inequality of the special matrix and the transformation of the matrix equation, we present new bounds of the solution of the continuous algebraic Riccati equation. The new bounds are more precise than those proposed in some existing studies on this topic. Subsequently, two lower bounds are presented for the optimal controller gain of the system(1), and a new upper bound is obtained for the optimal controller gain of the extended control system(3). Several examples are provided to demonstrate that our bounds of the optimal controller gain are superior to some previous results. Subsequently, we provide the applications of the new bounds in relevant redundant control problems and obtain good results. Finally,the corresponding numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of our results and to compare them with the existing results.

Modelling of spall damage in ductile materials and its application to the simulation of the plate impact on copper

A statistical model of dynamic spall damage due to void nucleation and growth is proposed for ductile materials under intense loading, which takes into account inertia, the elastic-plastic effect, and initial void size. To some extent, void interaction could be accounted for in this approach. Based on this model, the simulation of spall experiments for copper is performed by using the Lagrangian finite element method. The simulation results are in good agreement with experimental data for the free surface velocity profile, stress record behind copper target, final porosity, and void concentrations across the target. The influence of elastic-plastic effect upon the damage evolution is explored. The correlation between the damage evolution and the history of the stress near the spall plane is also analyzed.

Coherent spectroscopy of a strongly driven triple quantum dot molecule

Based on a calculation model, we study the interference phenomena of serially coupled ∨-type and ∧-type triple quantum dots （CTQDs） driven simultaneously by a strong driving field and a weak probe field. Strongly depending on the configuration of the three-level CTQD, the probe absorption spectra, which are shown in the tunneling current, exhibit various quantum coherence properties. In the case where the two pairs of transitions of the CTQD have a small eigenfrequency difference △ω, the double-coupling effect of the driving field results in two Autler Townes doublets and one weak Mollow triplet in one spectrum. With the value of △ω increasing, only one Autler-Townes splitting remains due to the single-coupling of the field. We also find that the effect of spontaneous emission of phonons may lead to an obvious background current, which can be used to distinguish which transition is driven by the driving field in experiment. The interesting quantum property of a CTQD revealed in our results suggests its potential applications in quantum modulators and quantum logic devices.
