Characteristics of Single Cathode Cascaded Bias Voltage Arc Plasma

A single cathode with a cascaded bias voltage arc plasma source has been developed with a new quartz cathode chamber,instead of the previous copper chambers,to provide better diagnostic observation and access to the plasma optical *** cathode chamber cooling scheme is also modified to be naturally cooled only by light emission without cooling water to improve the optical thin performance in the optical path.A single-parameter physical model has been developed to describe the power dissipated in the cascaded bias voltage arc discharge argon plasmas,which have been investigated by utilizing optical emission spectroscopy（OES） and Langmuir *** the experiments,discharge currents from 50 A to 100 A,argon flow rates from 800 sccm to 2000 sccm and magnetic fields of 0.1 T and 0.2 T were *** results show：（a） the relationship between the averaged resistivity and the averaged current density exhibits an empirical scaling law as η∝ j^（-0.63369） and the power dissipated in the arc has a strong relation with the filling factor;（b） through the quartz,the argon ions optical emission lines have been easily observed and are dominating with wavelengths between 340 nm and 520 nm,which are the emissions of Ar^＋-434.81 nm and Ar^＋-442.60 nm line,and theintensities are inc.easing with the arc current and decreasing with the inlet argon flow rate;and（c） the electron density and temperature can reach 2.0 × 10^19 m^-3 and 0.48 eV,respectively,under the conditions of an arc current of 90 A and a magnetic field of 0.2 *** half-width of the ne radial profile is approximatively equal to a few Larmor radii of electrons and can be regarded as the diameter of the plasma jet in the experiments.

Enterprise systems must have the structure to adapt the change of business environment. When rebuilding enterprise system to meet the extended operational boundaries, the concept of IT city planning is applicable and effective. The aim of this paper is to describe the architectural approach from the integrated information infrastructure (In3) standpoint and to propose for applying the 'City Planning' concept for rebuilding 'inter-application spaghetti' enterprise systems. This is mainly because the portion of infrastructure has inc.eased with the change of information systems from centralized systems to distributed and open systems. As enterprise systems have involved heterogeneity or architectural black box in them, it may be required the integration framework (meta-architecture) as a discipline based on heterogeneity that can provide comprehensive view of the enterprise systems. This paper proposes 'EII Meta-model' as the integration framework that can optimize the overall enterprise systems from the IT city planning point of view. EII Meta-model consists of 'Integrated Information Infrastructure Map (In3-Map)', 'Service Framework' and 'IT Scenario'. It would be applicable and effective for the viable enterprise, because it has the mechanism to adapt the change. Finally, we illustrate a case of information system in an online securities company and demonstrate applicability and effectiveness of EII Meta-model to meet their business goals.

Attaining the Steady State of the Nitriding Potential after a Change of NH_3 Atmosphere Flow Rate during the Gas Nitriding Process

In single and multi-stage nitriding processes, each stage is characterized by the following parameters: temperature and time, type and composition of inc.ming atmosphere, as well as the set value of the nitriding potential. In the case of an atmosphere composed of raw ammonia and dissociated ammonia (NH3 - NH3cKss), the set value of the nitriding potential can be achieved by a change of the inc.ming atmosphere make-up, while in the case of atmospheres comprising NH3 and NH} -N2 - by a change of the atmosphere flow rate. The time needed to reach a stabilized state, after the initiation of a change in the atmosphere gas mix can be assessed relatively easily. The problem is much more complex if we want to predict the time of reaching a new stabilized state following a change in atmosphere flow rate. The time of reaching stabilized state is, in this case, a complex function of the flow rate of the atmosphere which forces the potential change, and of temperature. This problem, in the case of the NH3 type atmosphere, is the subject of investigation in this work. Factors are discussed, affecting the rate at which stabilized state is reached by the system after the introduction of a disturbance, necessary to attain the required nitriding potential.

Composite Sand Bodies Architecture of Deep-Water Turbidite Channels in the Niger Delta Basin

Deep-water turbidite channels have attracted much attention as a focused issue in petroleum exploration and development. Extensive studies have been performed on the architecture of turbidite channels, and most researches have focused on their geometric shapes, sedimentary processes and controlling factors. However, little attention has been paid to the distribution patterns, distribution laws and quantitative studies of composite sand bodies of turbidite channels. Taken one slope area of the Niger Delta Basin as an example, this study conducted a semi-quantitative to quantitative analysis on architecture of composite sand bodies of turbidite channels based on cores, well logging and seismic surveys. It is shown that turbidite channel systems can be classified as confined and unconfined channel systems. For confined channel systems, the vertical evolution process involves four stages. The sinuosity of a channel system is controlled by slope, with a negative power function relationship between them. When slope gradient reaches four degrees, the channel system is nearly straight. Based on the migration direction and migration amount of single channels within channel complexes, channel composite patterns can be divided into four classes（the lateral composite, en-echelon composite, swing composite and vertical composite） and several subclasses. Various channel composite patterns show specific distribution laws spatially. For meandering channel complexes at the middle-late evolution stage of confined channel systems, the lateral migration amongst single channels shows the features of integrity and succession. The sinuosity of single channels in the late period is greater than that in the early period, and cut-offs may occur locally when the sinuosity is larger than five degrees. This study provides a better understanding for the geological theory of deep-water sedimentary, and also improves exploitation benefits of this type of reservoirs.

TextFormer: A Query-based End-to-end Text Spotter with Mixed Supervision

End-to-end text spotting is a vital computer vision task that aims to integrate scene text detection and recognition into a unified *** methods heavily rely on region-of-interest(Rol)operations to extract local features and complex post-processing steps to produce final *** address these limitations,we propose TextFormer,a query-based end-to-end text spotter with a transformer ***,using query embedding per text instance,TextFormer builds upon an image encoder and a text decoder to learn a joint semantic understanding for multitask *** allows for mutual training and optimization of classification,segmentation and recognition branches,resulting in deeper feature sharing without sacrificing flexibility or ***,we design an adaptive global aggregation(AGG)module to transfer global features into sequential features for reading arbitrarilyshaped texts,which overcomes the suboptimization problem of Rol ***,potential corpus information is utilized from weak annotations to full labels through mixed supervision,further improving text detection and end-to-end text spotting *** experiments on various bilingual(i.e.,English and Chinese)benchmarks demonstrate the superiority of our *** on the TDA-ReCTS dataset,TextFormer surpasses the state-of-the-art method in terms of 1-NED by 13.2%.

Mapping conformational changes on bispecific antigen-binding biotherapeutic by covalent labeling and mass spectrometry

Biotherapeutic's higher order structure(HOS)is a critical determinant of its functional properties and conformational ***,we evaluated two covalent labeling methods:diethylpyrocarbonate(DEPC)-labeling and fast photooxidation of proteins(FPOP),in conjunction with mass spectrometry(MS),to investigate structural modifications for the new class of immuno-oncological therapy known as bispecific antigen-binding biotherapeutics(BABB).The evaluated techniques unveiled subtle structural changes occurring at the amino acid residue level within the antigen-binding domain under both native and thermal stress conditions,which cannot be detected by conventional biophysical techniques,e.g.,near-ultraviolet circular dichroism(NUV-CD).The determined variations in labeling uptake under native and stress conditions,corroborated by binding assays,shed light on the binding effect,and highlighted the potential of covalent-labeling methods to effectively monitor conformational changes that ultimately influence the product *** study provides a foundation for implementing the developed techniques in elucidating the inherent structural characteristics of novel therapeutics and their conformational stability.

Droid Detector:Android Malware Characterization and Detection Using Deep Learning

Smartphones and mobile tablets are rapidly becoming indispensable in daily life. Android has been the most popular mobile operating system sinc. 2012. However, owing to the open nature of Android, countless malwares are hidden in a large number of benign apps in Android markets that seriously threaten Android security. Deep learning is a new area of machine learning research that has gained inc.easing attention in artificial intelligence. In this study, we propose to associate the features from the static analysis with features from dynamic analysis of Android apps and characterize malware using deep learning techniques. We implement an online deep-learning-based Android malware detection engine（Droid Detector） that can automatically detect whether an app is a malware or not. With thousands of Android apps, we thoroughly test Droid Detector and perform an indepth analysis on the features that deep learning essentially exploits to characterize malware. The results show that deep learning is suitable for characterizing Android malware and especially effective with the availability of more training data. Droid Detector can achieve 96.76% detection accuracy, which outperforms traditional machine learning techniques. An evaluation of ten popular anti-virus softwares demonstrates the urgency of advancing our capabilities in Android malware detection.
