Due to the mechanical stability of PP layer,the PP/HDPE double-layer microporous mem brane could be prepared at a higher heat-setting temperatu re than that of PE monolayer *** this work,the effects of heat-setting temperature on the pore structure and properties of PP/HDPE dou ble-layer membrane were *** the increase of heat-setting temperature from 120℃to 130℃,the length of connecting bridge crystal and crystallinity in the PE layer increase due to the melting of thin lamellae and the stability of connecting bridge structure during *** corresponding air permeability,po rosity,wetta bility of liquid electrolyte and mechanical property of the heat-set microporous membrane increase,exhibiting better electrochemical ***,when the heat-setting temperature is further increased to 140℃,higher than the melting point of PE resin,some pores are closed since the lamellae and connecting bridges melt and shrink during heat-setting,resulting in a decrease of air permeability and *** contrast,there is negligible change in the PP layer within the above heat-setting temperature *** study successfully builds the relationship between the stable pore structure and property of microporous membrane during heat-setting,which is helpful to guide the production of high-pe rformance PP/PE/PP lithium batteries separator.

The equilibrium geometries, potential energy curves, spectroscopic dissociation energies of the ground and low-lying electronic states of He2, He2^＋ and He2^＋＋ are calculated using symmetry adapted cluster/symmetry adapted cluster-configuration interaction （SAC/SAC-CI） method with the basis sets CC-PV5Z. The corresponding dissociation limits for all states are derived based on atomic and molecular reaction statics. The analytical potential energy functions of these states are fitted with Murrell-Sorbie potential energy function from our calculation results. The spectroscopic constants Be, αe, ωe, and ωeχe of these states are calculated through the relationship between spectroscopic data and analytical energy function, which are in well agreement with the experimental data. In addition, the origin of the energy barrier in the ground state X^I∑9^＋ of He2^＋＋ energy curve are explained using the avoided crossing rules of valence bond model.

There are growing research interests in developing high-performance energy storage systems to meet the demands for large-scale and sustainable energy storage. The lithium-sulfur （Li-S） batteries have drawn numerous attentions due to their exceptionally high energy density compared with other batteries. However, achieving the high capacities with long-term cycle stability and retaining an essentially high sulfur loading remains a tremendous chal- lenge for the designs of Li-S batteries. Graphene is regarded as a very suitable and promising addition to the com- positions for Li-S batteries due to its unique two dimensional （2D） structure, high conductivity and superior me- chanical flexibility. Besides, the functional groups of graphene surface can be tuned flexibly to immobilize the S/Li2Sx on the graphene surface during the cycling process. In this review, the development of graphene-sulfur composites and their applications in Li-S batteries are discussed. The attempts are also devoted to the synthesis approaches of various graphene-based sulfur composites, the graphene-sulfur interaction and the impacts on the elec- trochemical performances as well as the major issues of Li-S batteries.

Fine slag(FS)is an unavoidable by-product of coal ***,which is a simple heap of solid waste left in the open air,easily causes environmental pollution and has a low resource utilization rate,thereby restricting the development of energy-saving coal gasification *** multiscale analysis of FS performed in this study indicates typical grain size distribution,composition,crystalline structure,and chemical bonding *** FS primarily contained inorganic and carbon components(dry bases)and exhibited a"three-peak distribution"of the grain size and regular spheroidal as well as irregular *** irregular particles were mainly adsorbed onto the structure and had a dense distribution and multiple pores and *** carbon constituents were primarily amorphous in structure,with a certain degree of order and active sites.C 1s XPS spectrum indicated the presence of C–C and C–H bonds and numerous aromatic *** inorganic components,constituting 90%of the total sample,were primarily silicon,aluminum,iron,and *** inorganic components contained Si–O-Si,Si–O–Al,Si–O,SO_(4)^(2−),and Fe–O *** 2p XPS spectrum could be deconvoluted into Fe 2p_(1/2) and Fe 2p_(3/2) peaks and satellite peaks,while Fe existed mainly in the form of Fe(III).The findings of this study will be beneficial in resource utilization and formation mechanism of fine slag in future.

The influence of viscous heating on the entransy in two-fluid heat exchangers

In the present work, water and olive oil are taken as working fluids to study the influence of viscous heating on the entransy dissipation caused by heat transfer in two-fluid heat exchangers. The results show that the influence of viscous heating on the entransy loss associated with heat transfer can not be neglected for the liquids having large dynamic viscosity. The viscous heating effect maintains the heat transfer ability of the working fluids, relatively reduces the entransy loss in heat exchangers; the viscous heating effect relatively augments the entropy generation due to heat transfer and the available energy destruction in heat exchangers. For the working fluid having large dynamic viscosity, the increasing rates of the entransy and entropy generation contributed by the viscous heating are even larger than those contributed by heat transfer, when the mass flow rate of working fluid reaches a certain value under the fixed heat transfer area condition. Thus, the entransy loss rate decreases and the growth rate of entropy generation increases as the mass flow rate of the working fluid increases. Under the same other conditions, the heat transfer entransy loss rate and entropy generation rate per unit heat transfer rate obtained when the fluid having a smaller heat capacity rate is cold fluid are less than those obtained when the fluid having a smaller heat capacity rate is hot fluid.

Preliminary reconstruction of spatial precipitation patterns and atmospheric circulations in China during the late Quaternary

Quantitative estimates of the precipitation on different lake sites at the three time phases, i.e. 30, 18, and 6 kaBP by using the combined hydrological and energy budget model, make it possible to reconstruct the large changes in spatial precipitation patterns since the late Quaternary. The results have shown that, very strong precipitation occurred in western China at 30 kaBP, suggesting extremely enhanced summer Indian monsoon. Precipitation was high in southwestern China at 18 kaBP, especially the southern part of southwestern China, due to the southward shift of the westerlies and a low pressure cell occurred over northern India. The precipitation at 6 kaBP shows the complicated patterns for different regions of China, suggesting different climate dynamics. The comparison of the independent lake level/ area-based reconstruction of precipitation and the palaeo-climate simulations is an effective way for the validation ofeach method to reconstruct the palaeo-precipitation quantitatively, and for

Vector meson mass values are studied at finite chemical potential and temperature in lattice QCD with lattice size of 24 × 122× 6 using two flavors of staggered quarks. The investigation focuses on the change of the vector meson mass in the critical region close to T c with two different types of chemical potentials switched on: the isoscalar chemical potential μS and its isovector counterpart μV. It is found that the vector meson mass increases in the QGP phase with both chemical potentials and decreases with μS in the confinement phase.

Data gathered from the 1987 National Nutrition Survey in the Philippines provided the opportunity to study the interactions among micronutrient deficiencies and undernutrition in different age groups as basis for program targeting. A randomly selected set of 50% of the households (3,200) covered by the national survey served as source of subjects. Results showed that there was a greater proportion of anemia among the undernourished (as judged by weight for age in children and weight for height in adults) (66.0%)than among the adequately nourished (54.6%) (P energy undernutrition and possibly also between goiter and vitamin A deficiency in the high-risk age groups, but between anemia on the one hand and goiter and vitamin A deficiency in the other, perhaps because of clustering in the latter conditions not found in anemia and general undernutrition. A series of aAl5O12：Ce （YAG：Ce） phosphors doped with different Si4＋ concentrations is prepared by solid-state reaction. The temperature dependent characteristics of luminescent spectrum and decay time of Ce3＋ are investigated. With Si4＋ doped, the emission spectrum shows a blue shift clue to a decrease of the splitting of 5d levels of Ce3＋ ion. The thermal stability is greatly improved by adding Si4＋ because the activation energy AE increases from 0.1836 eV to 0.2401 eV. The study of the decay times against temperature for various doping concentrations of Si4＋ shows that the calculated nonradiative decay rate is affected by Si4＋ substitution. The results are explained by the configurational coordinate diagram.
