A design problem with deficient information is generally described as wicked or *** information insufficiency leaves designers with loose settings,free environments,and a lack of strict boundaries,which provides them with more opportunities to facilitate ***,to capture the opportunity behind the uncertainty of a design problem,this study models an innovative design as a composite solving process,where the problem is clarified and resolved from fuzziness to satisfying solutions by interplay among design problems,knowledge,and ***,a triple-helix structured model for the innovative product design process is proposed based on the co-evolution of the problem,solution,and knowledge spaces,to provide designers with a distinct design strategy and method for innovative *** three spaces interact and co-evolve through iterative mappings,including problem structuring,knowledge expansion,and solution *** mappings carry the information processing and decision-making activities of the design,and create the path to satisfying ***,a case study of a reactor coolant flow distribution device is presented to demonstrate the practicability of this model and the method for innovative product design.

The control rod drive mechanism(CRDM)is an essential part of the control and safety protection system of pressurized water *** CRDM simulations are mostly performed collectively using a single method,ignoring the influence of multiple motion units and the differences in various features among them,which strongly affect the efficiency and accuracy of the *** this study,we constructed a flow field fusion simulation method based on model features by combining key motion unit analysis and various simulation methods and then applied the method to the CRDM simulation *** performs motion unit decomposition through the structural hierarchy of function-movement-action method,and the key meta-actions are identified as the nodes in the flow field *** established a fused feature-based multimethod simulation process and processed the simulation methods and data according to the features of the fluid domain space and the structural complexity to obtain the fusion simulation *** to traditional simulation methods and real measurements,the simulation method provides advantages in terms of simulation efficiency and accuracy.

Regarding the spatial profile extraction method of a multi-field co-simulation dataset,different extraction directions,locations,and numbers of profileswill greatly affect the representativeness and integrity of *** this study,a multi-field co-simulation data extractionmethod based on adaptive infinitesimal elements is *** co-simulation dataset based on related infinitesimal elements is constructed,and the candidate directions of data profile extraction undergo dimension reduction by principal component analysis to determine the direction of data *** on the fireworks algorithm,the data profile with optimal representativeness is searched adaptively in different data extraction intervals to realize the adaptive calculation of data extraction micro-step *** multi-field co-simulation data extraction process based on adaptive microelement is established and applied to the data extraction process of the multi-field co-simulation dataset of the sintering *** with traditional data extraction methods for multi-field co-simulation,the approximate model constructed by the data extracted from the proposed method has higher construction ***,the relative maximum absolute error,root mean square error,and coefficient of determination of the approximationmodel are better than those of the approximation model constructed by the data extracted from traditional methods,indicating higher accuracy,it is verified that the proposed method demonstrates sound adaptability and extraction efficiency.

For planning optimum multiple stresses accelerated life test plans, a commonly followed guiding principle is that all parameters of the life-stress relationship should be estimated, and the number of the stress level combinations must be no less than the number of parameters of the life-stress relationship. However, the general objective of an accelerated life test（ALT） is to assess thep-th quantile of the product life distribution under normal stress. For this objective,estimating all model parameters is not necessary, and this will increase the cost of test. Based on the theoretical conclusion that the stress level combinations of the optimum multiple stresses ALT plan locate on a straight line through the origin of coordinate, it is proposed that a design idea of planning the optimum multiple stresses ALT plan through transforming the problem of designing an optimum multiple stresses ALT plan to designing an optimum single stress ALT plan. Moreover, a method of planning the optimum multiple stresses ALT plan which can avoid estimating all model parameters is established. An example shows that, the proposed plan which only has two stress level combinations could achieve an accuracy no less than the traditional plan, and save the test time and cost on one stress level combination at least; when the actual product life is less than the design value, even the deviation of the model initial parameters value is up to 20%, the variance of the estimation of thep-th quantile of the proposed plan is still smaller than the traditional plans approximately 25%. A design method is provided for planning the optimum multiple stresses ALT which uses the statistical optimum degenerate test plan as the optimum multiple stresses accelerated life test plan.

This paper investigates the yield and nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) of machine-transplanted rice cultivated using mechanized deep placement of N fertilizer in the rice–wheat rotation region of Chuanxi Plain,*** provides theoretical support for N-saving and improves quality and production efficiency of machine-transplanted *** a single-factor complete randomized block design in field experiments in 2018 and 2019,seven N-fertilization treatments were applied,with the fertilizer being surface broadcast and/or mechanically placed beside the seedlings at (5.5±0.5) cm soil depth when *** treatments were:N0,no N fertilizer;U1,180 kg N ha^(–1) as urea,surface broadcast manually before transplanting;U2,108 kg N ha^(–1) as urea,surface broadcast manually before transplanting,and 72 kg N ha^(–1) as urea surface broadcast manually on the 10th d after transplanting,which is not only the local common fertilization method,but also the reference treatment;UD,180 kg N ha^(–1) as urea,mechanically deep-placed when transplanting;M1,81.6 kg N ha^(–1) as urea and 38.4 kg N ha^(–1) as controlled-release urea (CRU),mechanically deep-placed when transplanting;M2,102 kg N ha^(–1) as urea and48 kg N ha^(–1) as CRU,mechanically deep-placed when transplanting;M3,122.4 kg N ha^(–1) as urea and 57.6 kg N ha^(–1) as CRU,mechanically deep-placed when *** effects of the N fertilizer treatments on rice yield and NUE were consistent in the 2 *** a N application rate of 180 kg ha^(–1),compared with U2,the N recovery efficiency (NRE),N agronomic use efficiency (NAE) and yield under the UD treatment were 20.6,3.5 and 1.1% higher in 2018,and 4.6,1.7 and 1.2% higher in 2019,*** with urea alone (U1,U2 or UD),the NRE,NAE and yield achieved by M3 (combined application of urea and controlled-release urea) were higher by 9.2–73.3%,18.6–61.5% and 6.5–16.5%(2018),and 22.2–65.2%,25.6–75.0% and 5.9–13.9%(2019),*** with M3,the lower-N t

This study presents a robustness optimization method for rapid prototyping(RP)of functional artifacts based on visualized computing digital twins(VCDT).A generalized multiobjective robustness optimization model for RP of scheme design prototype was first built,where thermal,structural,and multidisciplinary knowledge could be integrated for *** implement visualized computing,the membership function of fuzzy decision-making was optimized using a genetic *** thermodynamic,structural statics,and flow field analyses were conducted,especially for glass fiber composite materials,which have the characteristics of high strength,corrosion resistance,temperature resistance,dimensional stability,and electrical *** electrothermal experiment was performed by measuring the temperature and changes in temperature during *** thermographs were obtained using thermal field measurements to determine the temperature distribution.A numerical analysis of a lightweight ribbed ergonomic artifact is presented to illustrate the ***,manufacturability was verified based on a thermal-solid coupled finite element *** physical experiment and practice proved that the proposed VCDT provided a robust design paradigm for a layered RP between the steady balance of electrothermal regulation and manufacturing efficacy under hybrid uncertainties.

Porous features of mesoporous metal nanocrystals are critically important for their applications in catalysis,sorption,and biomedicine and ***,precisely engineering porous architectures of mesoporous metals is still highly ***,we report a facile soft-templating strategy to precisely engineer porous architectures of multicomponent PdCuBP mesoporous nanospheres(MSs)by using the surfactants with different amphiphilic *** kinds of MSs with distinct porous architectures,including three-dimensional(3D)opened/interconnected dendritic mesopores(dMSs),one-dimensional(1D)cylindered mesopores(cMSs),and zero-dimensional(0D)spherical mesopores(sMSs),are *** surfactant-templating method is generally extended to regulate elemental compositions of multicomponent *** resultant Pd-based MSs have been evaluated as the electrocatalysts for ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR).Our results show that quaternary PdCuBP dMSs display remarkably high catalytic activity and better stability for electrocatalytic EOR,compared to those of multicomponent MSs with other porous architectures and less elemental *** studies reveal that PdCuBP dMSs combine multiple structural and compositional advantages,which kinetically accelerate the electron/mass transfers and also improve the tolerances to poisoning *** believe that the porous architecture engineering in mesoporous metal electrocatalysts will present a new way to design highly efficient electrocatalysts with desired porous systems and explore their relations towards(electro)catalysis.

Numerous Quaternary deposits are existed in the mountainous areas of Southwest China,especially in the transition zone between the QinghaiTibet Plateau and the sichuan Basin,where strong tectonic movements and frequent climatic changes increase the potential *** possible deformation and failure process of potential landslides and their impacts on the surrounding environment are important research *** investigation and monitoring indicate that the Qingliu landslide in Xiameng town,Li County,sichuan province,China has been continuously deforming since August *** deformation zone has a maximum deformation depth of approximately 18.9m,a total area of 54,628 m2,and a volume of 34.0×104 m3,which seriously threatens infrastructure projects and *** a result,understanding the Qingliu landslide evolution process,assessing the hazard risk,and planning disaster prevention measures are of great significance for reducing disaster *** this study,the mass movement process and hazard risk of the Qingliu landslide are evaluated,and the effects of different prevention measures are compared and *** using the depth-integrated method,the mass movement of the Qingliu landslide is *** numerical simulation results indicate that the maximum velocity of the Qingliu landslide is approximately 37.5 m/s,and the duration of the landslide is approximately *** simulated landslide can eventually form a deposited mass with a maximum deposit thickness of 19.4 m and an area of approximately 60,168.3 m2,thereby blocking the river and burying ***,a risk assessment of the Qingliu landslide under different forms of protection measures is also produced and discussed by considering the hazard level and economic vulnerability level of the affected *** three layers of anti-slide piles on the deformation zone to reduce the hazard risk of the Qingliu landslide is a better *** results may be useful for planning preventio
