Unveiling the shadows: a qualitative exploration of barriers to rooftop solar photovoltaic adoption in residential sectors

In the face of global climate change,the urgent shift towards renewable energy sources such as solar power is vital for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and fostering a sustainable future,presenting a universal challenge and opportunity for energy policy ***’s adoption of rooftop solar photovoltaic is pivotal due to its vast solar potential,which aligns with national goals to increase renewable energy capacity,reduce carbon emissions,and achieve energy ***’s geographical location offers abundant solar potential,making it a prime candidate for the adoption of rooftop solar photovoltaic *** with the state’s strong commitment to renewable energy initiatives such as the ambitious“SOURA”(solar subsidy program by the Kerala State Electricity Board)project and various incentives for solar adoption,Kerala stands at the forefront of India’s transition towards sustainable energy *** the barriers to rooftop solar photovoltaic adoption in Kerala is crucial for tailoring ef-fective policies and strategies that address specific hindrances from economic constraints to informational *** study employs a qualitative research method to identify the barriers to rooftop solar photovoltaic adoption among households in *** face-to-face interviews with a purposively selected sample of 52 households,the research aims to gain in-depth insights into the multifaceted challenges hindering the widespread adoption of solar energy in residential *** findings reveal several key barriers:financial barriers,informational barriers,technical barriers,regulatory barriers,social barriers,and psychological *** analysis indicates that while there is a predominantly positive attitude towards solar photovoltaic adoption,there are sig-nificant concerns that still need to be *** these barriers with targeted policy interventions and public awareness campaigns could significantly enhance the adoptio

In ancient Chinese literature,poetry is the primary vehicle for lyrical *** they have been traditionally deemed pure lyrical works,the nineteen ancient poems contain narrative elements that have been explored in prior research *** examination of these poems from the perspective that Chinese literature is characterized by the complementary interplay of lyrical and narrative traditions can help develop a more nuanced understanding of Chinese literary ***,it can deepen the perception that Chinese literary history is not dominated by the lyrical tradition but is defined by the intricate harmony and mutual enrichment between the lyrical and narrative traditions.

Gravitational wave footprints from Higgs-portal scalegenesis with multiple dark chiral scalars

We discuss the gravitational wave(GW)spectra predicted from the electroweak scalegenesis of the Higgs portal type with a large number of dark chiral flavors,which many flavor QCD would underlie and give the dynamical explanation of the negative Higgs portal coupling required to trigger the electroweak symmetry *** employ the linear-sigma model as the low-energy description of dark many flavor QCD and show that the model undergoes ultra-supercooling due to the produced strong first-order thermal phase transition along the(approximately realized)flat direction based on the Gildener-Weinberg *** through evaluation of the bubble nucleation/percolation,we address the reheating and relaxation processes,which are generically non-thermal and *** the reheating epoch in terms of the e-folding number,we propose proper formulae for the redshift effects on the GW frequencies and signal *** then turns out that the ultra-supercooling predicted from the Higgs-portal scalegenesis generically yields none of GW signals with the frequencies as low as nano Hz,unless the released latent heat is transported into another sector other than reheating the ***,models of this class prefer to give the higher frequency signals and still keeps the future prospected detection sensitivity,like at LISA,BBO,and DECIGO,*** also find that with large flavors in the dark sector,the GW signals are made further smaller and the peak frequencies *** phenomenological consequences related to the multiple chiral scalars include the prediction of dark pions with the mass much less than TeV scale,which is also briefly addressed.

Constructing the Impossible Differential of Type-II GFN with Boolean Function and Its Application to WARP

Type-Ⅱ generalized Feist el network(GFN) has attracted a lot of attention for its simplicity and high *** differential attack is one of the powerful cryptanalytic approaches for word-oriented block ciphers such as Feistel-like *** deduce the impossible differential of Type-Ⅱ GFN by analyzing the Boolean function in the middle *** main idea is to investigate the expression with the variable representing the plaintext(ciphertext) difference words for the internal state *** adopting the miss-in-the-middle approach,we can construct the impossible differential of Type-Ⅱ *** an illustration,we apply this approach to WARP,a lightweight 128-bit block cipher with a 128-bit key which was presented by Banik et *** SAC *** structure of WARP is a 32-branch Type-Ⅱ ***,we find two 21-round truncated impossible differentials and implement a 32-round key recovery attack on *** the 32-round key recovery attack on WARP,some observations are used to mount an effective *** the advantage of the early abort technique,the data,time,and memory complexities are 2125.69chosen plaintexts,2126.6832-round encryptions,and 2100-bit,*** the best of our knowledge,this is the best attack on WARP in the single-key scenario.

A Pricing Model of Airbag Options with Discrete Monitoring

In this paper, we propose a pricing model of airbag options with discrete monitoring, time-varying barriers, early exercise opportunities, and other popular features simultaneously. We show that the option value is a viscosity solution of a PDE system. In particular, a closed-form solution is obtained in the classic BlackScholes economy with no early exercise opportunities. For the general case, we develop a numerical algorithm and conduct an extensive numerical analysis after calibrating the model to the CSI 500 index in China. Greek letters, dynamic hedging, and assessment of investing in airbag options are also studied.

It then turns out that the ultra-supercooling predicted from the Higgs-portal scalegenesis generically yields none of GW signals with the frequencies as low as nano Hz,unless the released latent heat is transported into another sector other than reheating the universe. Instead, models of this class prefer to give the higher frequency signals and still keeps the future prospected detection sensitivity, like at LISA, BBO, and DECIGO, etc. We also find that with large flavors in the dark sector, the GW signals are made further smaller and the peak frequencies higher. Characteristic phenomenological consequences related to the multiple chiral scalars include the prediction of dark pions with the mass much less than Te V scale, which is also briefly addressed.

Perceptions and Controversies on Cholera in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Field in the Late Qing Dynasty

At the beginning of the initial cholera outbreak in China,Wang Qingren(王清任),after years of clinical trials,became an early representative who discovered the infectious characteristics and observed the course of cholera in the field of traditional Chinesse medicine(TCM).Kou Langao(寇兰皋)and Xu Zimo(徐子默),both medical practitioners,constructed a diagnosis and treatment system for cholera with cold patterns under the theory of *** represented“School of Cholera with Cold Patterns”(SCCP).In the 1860s,with the influence of Wang Shixiong’s(王士雄)studies on the nature of cholera under the theory of epidemic febrile disease,the“School of Cholera with Heated Patterns”(SCHP)prevailed *** two schools complemented each other in theories and contributed to the integrity of TCM in cholera diagnosis and *** reviewing previous literature,books,clinical cases,and historical materials in medical field,this article aims 1)to summarise the influence of TCM on the cognitive development towards cholera in the late Qing dynasty;2)to explore the origin of the controversy between SCCP and SCHP from historical evidence;3)to summarize the historical lessons from the debate over cholera in TCM based on the principle of treatment based on pattern identification,and offer suggestions for the current prevention and treatment of new diseases using TCM.

Review on the Impact of Climate Change on Great Lakes Region’s Agriculture and Water Resources

This study investigates the multifaceted impacts of climate change on the Midwest region of the United States, particularly the rising temperatures and precipitation brought about by hot weather activities and technological advances since the 19th century. From 1900 to 2010, temperatures in the Midwest rose by an average of 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit, which would also lead to an increase in greenhouse gas emissions. Precipitation is also expected to increase due to increased storm activity and changes in regional weather patterns. This paper explores the impact of these changes on urban and agricultural areas. In urban areas such as the city of Chicago, runoff from the increasing impervious surface areas poses challenges to the drainage system, and agriculture areas are challenged by soil erosion, nutrient loss, and fewer planting days due to excessive rainfall. Sustainable solutions such as no-till agriculture and the creation of grassland zones are discussed. Using historical data, recent climate studies and projections, the paper Outlines ways to enhance the Midwest’s ecology and resilience to climate change.
