This study examines the stabilization of continuous-time Markovian jump systems, whose controller is added in the diffusion section. Unlike the traditionally stochastic controllers, the proposed controller is connected by a communication network. Not only the state but also the switching signal is sampled and transmitted. Because the sampling of switching signals makes analyzing and synthesizing the system more difficult, an auxiliary system approach is presented to handle these problems. Particularly, a novel system with an exponential matrix characterizing the sampling effects is developed while the sampling rate is fully considered in the given conditions. Moreover, more special situations of sampled controllers are considered.Two numerical examples are offered to confirm the effectiveness and superiority of the methods proposed in this study.

Graphene solution-gated field effect transistors(G-Sg FETs) have been widely developed in the field of biosensors, but deficiencies in their theories still exist. A theoretical model for G-Sg FET, including the three-terminal equivalent circuit model and the numerically calculating method, is proposed by the comprehensive analyses of the graphene-liquid interface and the FET principle. Not only the applied voltages on the electrodepairs of gate-source and drain-source, but also the nature of graphene and its derivatives are considered by analysing their influences on the Fermi level, the carriers’ concentration and mobility, which may consequently affect the output drain-source current. To verify whether it is available for G-Sg FETs based on different method prepared graphene, three kinds of graphene materials which are liquid-phase exfoliated graphene, reduced graphene oxide(r GO), and tetra(4-aminophenyl) porphyrin hybridized r GO are used as examples. The coincidences of calculated output and transfer feature curves with the measured ones are obtained to confirm its adaptivity for simulating the basic G-Sg FETs’ electric features, by modulating Fermi level and mobility. Furthermore, the model is exploited to simulate G-Sg FETs’ current responding to the biological functionalization with aptamer and the detections for circulating tumor cells, as a proof-of-concept.The calculated current changes are compared with the experimental results, to verify the proposed G-Sg FETs’ model is also suitable for mimicking the bio-electronic responding, which may give a preview of some conceived GSg FETs’ biosensors and improve the design efficiency.

This paper investigates the cooperative output regulation problem of heterogeneous linear parameter-varying multi-agent systems under denial-of-service(DoS) attacks. The matrix and state of the exosystem are taken to be unknown to the followers. Moreover, with the assumption that only a directed spanning tree exists in the communication topology, a resilient observer is proposed to exponentially estimate the global information, which can also be effective under DoS attacks with a certain intensity. Afterward,to avoid using the exact value of the exosystem matrix, a distributed online algorithm is proposed, through which the linear parameter-varying output regulation equation is asymptotically solved. Based on the resilient observer and the solution of the output regulation equation, a distributed regulator is proposed to achieve asymptotic cooperative output regulation for all agents. Some numerical simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed observer, algorithm, and controller.

By predicting future information such as data rate with sensory wireless data, radio resources can be pre-allocated for content delivery. Such an integrated sensing and communications technique can help improve network performance and user experience. To justify the cost paid for predicting future information,it is important to understand in which scenarios predictive resource allocation yields a large gain over the non-predictive counterpart. In this paper, we strive to identify the key factors that affect the gain of predictive resource allocation by deriving the closed-form expression of the gain. We are concerned with minimizing the transmission time required for content delivery such as file downloading to users with an expected deadline,where the resources of base stations are shared with real-time services. Then, the performance gain is measured by the difference of the average time required by predictive and non-predictive resource allocation.Inspired by the solution of the optimization problem, we resort to the theory of order statistics for deriving the performance gain. We find that the gain depends on the statistics(i.e., mean value and standard deviation)of the user’s average data rates in the prediction window. Then, we separately analyze how the statistics of the bandwidth available for content delivery and user mobility affect the gain. We use simulation with a real dataset of traffic load to validate the analysis and quantify the impact of the key factors. Our results show that predictive resource allocation can reduce the transmission time even for non-moving users. The performance gain is high when the network is busy or the cell radius is large.

In EUROCRYPT 2017,a new structure-difference property,say“a-multiple-of-8”was proposed on 5-round AES.Inspired by the idea,yoyo attacks and mixture differential attacks were proposed yielding new records on data and computational complexities for key-recovery attacks against 5-round AES.In this paper,the authors attempt to apply the idea of mixture differential cryptanalysis to Midori64.Midori is a lightweight block cipher proposed at ASIACRYPT 2015.Although the structure of Midori is similar to AES,the MixColumn matrix of Midori is not MDS.Based on this observation,the authors present a class of deterministic differential trails on 2-round Midori.Then combined with the yoyo trick,a new type of 4-round retracing boomerang distinguishers is obtained on Midori.Based on the new 4-round distinguishers,a key-recovery attack on 6-round Midori64 is given that requires only 2^(27)computational complexity,2^(29)chosen plaintexts,2^(20)adaptively chosen ciphertexts.The key-recovery attack has been experimentally verified.

We focus on the Direct position determination(DPD) of a moving narrowband source based on Doppler frequency shifts of signals with known waveforms.Two common motion models are considered: the Constant velocity(CV) model and the Constant acceleration(CA) model. The DPD cost function is obtained after some algebraic manipulations using the Maximum likelihood(ML) criterion. To develop a computationally efficient optimization algorithm, we present a preliminary mathematical result that plays a fundamental role in development of the proposed algorithm. Subsequently, a Newton iterative algorithm is tailored to the two motion models to determine the moving transmitter’s trajectory.When compared with multidimensional grid searching, the proposed algorithm is more computationally attractive without compromising its estimation accuracy.Simulation results confirm the superiority of the proposed algorithm.

Single-sensor monitoring of flood events at high spatial and temporal resolutions is difficult because of the lack of data owing to instrument defects,cloud contamination,imaging geometry.However,combining multisensor data provides an impressive solution to this problem.In this study,11 synthetic aperture radar(SAR)images and 13 optical images were collected from the Google Earth Engine(GEE)platform during the Sardoba Reservoir flood event to constitute a time series dataset.Threshold-based and indices-based methods were used for SAR and optical data,respectively,to extract the water extent.The final sequential flood water maps were obtained by fusing the results from multisensor time series imagery.Experiments show that,when compare with the Global Surface Water Dynamic(GSWD)dataset,the overall accuracy and Kappa coefficient of the water body extent extracted by our methods range from 98.8%to 99.1%and 0.839 to 0.900,respectively.The flooded extent and area increased sharply to a maximum between May 1 and May 4,and then experienced a sustained decline over time.The flood lasted for more than a month in the lowland areas in the north,indicating that the northern region is severely affected.Land cover changes could be detected using the temporal spectrum analysis,which indicated that detailed temporal information benefiting from the multisensor data is highly important for time series analyses.

Low voltage three-phase four-wire AC distribution grids may experience high neutral current,mainly caused by asymmetrical distribution of single-phase loads in three phases.High neutral current will not only increase line losses but also result in neutral potential variations.For the LV AC distribution grid established by a grid-forming inverter(e.g.,uninterruptible power supply and solid-state-transformer),it also suffers from the same neutral current issues.Therefore,this paper comparatively studies several neutral current control approaches and their impacts on grid voltage balance,which is required by grid code.Then,this paper proposes an optimal neutral current control approach,which can obtain maximum neutral current suppression with less impact on grid voltage balance.The correctness of the theoretical analysis is validated through both simulation and experimental results.

In this paper, the authors propose an adaptive Barrier-Lyapunov-Functions(BLFs) based control scheme for nonlinear pure-feedback systems with full state constraints. Due to the coexist of the non-affine structure and full state constraints, it is very difficult to construct a desired controller for the considered system. According to the mean value theorem, the authors transform the pure-feedback system into a system with strict-feedback structure, so that the well-known backstepping method can be applied. Then, in the backstepping design process, the BLFs are employed to avoid the violation of the state constraints, and neural networks(NNs) are directly used to online approximate the unknown packaged nonlinear terms. The presented controller ensures that all the signals in the closed-loop system are bounded and the tracking error asymptotically converges to zero. Meanwhile, it is shown that the constraint requirement on the system will not be violated during the operation. Finally, two simulation examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
