Design and Implementation of an Extended Collectives Library for Unified Parallel C

Unified Parallel C （UPC） is a parallel extension of ANSI C based on the Partitioned Global Address Space （PGAS） programming model, which provides a shared memory view that simplifies code development while it can take advantage of the scalability of distributed memory architectures. Therefore, UPC allows programmers to write parallel applications on hybrid shared/distributed memory architectures, such as multi-core clusters, in a more productive way, accessing remote memory by means of different high-level language constructs, such as assignments to shared variables or collective primitives. However, the standard UPC collectives library includes a reduced set of eight basic primitives with quite limited functionality. This work presents the design and implementation of extended UPC collective functions that overcome the limitations of the standard collectives library, allowing, for example, the use of a specific source and destination thread or defining the amount of data transferred by each particular thread. This library fulfills the demands made by the UPC developers community and implements portable algorithms, independent of the specific UPC compiler/runtime being used. The use of a representative set of these extended collectives has been evaluated using two applications and four kernels as case studies. The results obtained confirm the suitability of the new library to provide easier programming without trading off performance, thus achieving high productivity in parallel programming to harness the performance of hybrid shared/distributed memory architectures in high performance computing.

A Comprehensive Survey of TDD-Based Mobile Communications Systems from TD-SCDMA 3G to TDLTE-Advanced 4G and 5G directions

TDD(Time Division Duplex) is one of the two duplex ***-SCDMA(Time division Synchronous CDMA) is the first TDD-based cellular mobile system which is commercialized in wide area and large scale and TD-SCDMA is also the first cellular mobile system which adopted smart antenna technology,also called as *** the long term evolution of TD-SCDMA,TDLTE(A)(Time Division-Lone Term Evolution,and TD-LTE Advanced) introduced OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing)and enhanced smart antenna technology together with MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output),which are adopted by LTE FDD(Frequency Division Duplex) *** is indicated that TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE(A)have opened a sustainable utilization era of TDD and smart antenna Technologies in the wireless mobile *** paper aims to present a systematic introduction to TDD-based mobile communications from TD-SCDMA to TD-LTE and beyond and its comparisons to FDD,with particular focuses on TDD key technologies,principles of TDD cellular mobile systems,TDD evolution path,and future TDD 5G *** hope that this paper will provide a comprehensive overview of TDD technology upgrade and its standard evolution,and serve as a valuable reference for research on 5G mobile communication *** is believed that TDD will play more important role in 5G.

IT is pretty obvious that chanle is afoot in the international monetary system. A couple of years ago, the yuan set off on a path of internationalization. Early on, we at standard Bank had front-row tickets： in 2012. the Nigerian Central Bank announced from our offices in Beijing that they would convert 5 percent of their reserves into yuan. The trend has certainly captured the imagination. Smartly. Beijing has been focusing on broaden- ing the scope of the yuan＇s usage, reaching beyond China＇s geographical territory, widening the arc of currencies it is traded against, and increasing its use in denominating and settling cross-border trade and financial transactions. In other words, the agenda had been primarily about growing the yuan＇s role as a medium of exchange.

Preparation of transparent nanostructured N-doped TiO_2 thin films by combination of sonochemical and CVD methods with visible light photocatalytic activity

Pollution of water resources with pesticide compounds has raised serious environmental problems,and for photocatalytic degradation of these pollutants,thin film photocatalysts are preferred to colloidal ones due to the separation problem of colloidal *** this work,nanostructured TiO_2 and N-doped TiO_2 thin films with high transparency were deposited on glass and quartz substrates through sonochemical–chemical vapor deposition(CVD)*** films prepared on glass and quartz substrates had nanocubic and nanospherical morphology,*** presence of N atoms in the structure of TiO_2 resulted in a decrease in the band gap energy of TiO_2 and also in the reduction of photogenerated electron–hole recombination ***,the presence of N atoms induced the formation of Ti^(3+)species which can act as hole trapping *** prepared thin films were also used for the visible light photocatalytic degradation of paraoxon *** to these results among the prepared thin films,the N-doped TiO_2 thin films have higher photocatalytic activity than pure TiO_2 thin ***,in comparison with the thin films deposited on quartz substrate,the films on glass substrate have higher photocatalytic performance,which can be related to the special nanocubic morphology of these samples.

This paper presents a new approach for stabilizing standard discrete-time fuzzy singularly perturbed systems（SPSs） via a state feedback controller. Without using conventional Lyapunov function, based on the matrix spectral norm of the closed-loop system, a new ε-independent sufficient condition is presented. In contrast to the existing results, the proposed method can improve the upper bounds of singular perturbation parameter ε. Two examples are provided to illustrate the reduced conservatism of our results.

Sulfur resource recovery based on electrolytic manganese residue calcination and manganese oxide ore desulfurization for the clean production of electrolytic manganese

An environmentally friendly and resource-conserving route to the clean production of electrolytic manganese was developed,in which the electrolytic manganese residue(EMR)was initially calcined for cement buffering;then the generated SO2-containing flue gas was managed using manganese oxide ore and anolyte(MOOA)desulfurization;at last,the desulfurized slurry was introduced to the electrolytic manganese production(EMP).Results showed that 4.0 wt%coke addition reduced the sulfur of calcined EMR to 0.9%,thereby satisfying the cement-buffer ***-scale desulfurization showed that about 7.5 vol%of high SO2 containing flue gas can be cleaned to less than 0.1 vol%through a five-stage countercurrent MOOA *** desulfurized slurry had 42.44 g·L-Mn2+and 1.92 g·L-1 S2 O62-,which was suitable for electrowinning after purification,and the purity of manganese product was 99.93%,satisfy the National standard of China YB/*** new integrated technology fulfilled 99.7%of sulfur reutilization from the EMR and 94.1%was effectively used to the *** MOOA desulfurization linked the EMP a closed cycle without any pollutant discharge,which promoted the cleaner production of EMP industry.

Summary At this stage, it is difficuk to assess the economic impact of the 11 March earthquake in north eastern Japan. Assuming the same proportional cost of rebuilding relative to that region＇s GDP contribution as in the Great Hanshin earthquake of 1995 （also known as the Kobe earthquake）, the cost would be around 1% of Japan＇s GDP, or USD 60bn. In terms of energy release, this earthquake was almost 2,000 times stronger than Kobe, but as the Sendai region is significantly different in structure to Kobe.
