Paradigm for Determining the Optimal Ultradeep and Superthick Saline Aquifer for High-TDS Mine Water Geological Storage

Saline aquifers are the most popular waste and CO_(2)injection and storage reservoirs *** project proposes that several optimal injection positions should be investigated as hydraulic pressure-focused positions,in order to relieve the high demands of pump *** comprehensive indices(F_(i))representing the injectivity of different burial depths were obtained by using information entropy,based on the mercury injection experimental data of 13 rock *** results demonstrated that the burial depths of No.4,No.1 and No.2 in the Liujiagou Formation were the most suitable positions for hydraulic focused injection,which means the upper 30 m thickness could be regarded as the hydraulic focused range in the saline aquifer with an average thickness of 400 *** addition,some laboratory experiments and in situ tests were carried out for the purpose of certifying and analyzing results,including SEM,XRD,brittleness index and *** results suggested that the rock samples at the No.4,No.1 and No.2 burial depth ranges have loose microstructure,weak cementation,as well as dual pores and *** lithology is mainly quartz and feldspar,but the clay mineral content is high(10%-25%),which is positive for *** lithology is suitable for hydraulic fracturing to form extended cracks and micro-fissures during high-TDS(total dissolved solids)mine water injection,because of the high brittleness ***,a theoretical and technical framework for high-TDS mine water injection was established,based on operating pilot *** theoretical defects and drawbacks learned from the field practices were summarized and solutions *** research in this study could provide guidance and a paradigm for the inexpensive treatment of high-TDS mine water by injection and storage.

New finding on out-of-step separation configuration of large-scale power systems

In this paper,two new concepts—“main out-of-step mode” and “minor out-of-step mode”—are proposed for power system reliability analysis. Large-scale power system studies found that out-of-step generator groups may have characteristics of the main out-of-step mode and the minor out-of-step mode. The generator groups with main out-of-step modes can determine the out-of-step interface of the large-scale power system,while generators with the minor out-of-step modes cannot play such a role. Therefore,the method of capturing the out-of-step interface by seeking the lowest voltage point(the out-of-step center) can only group the generators with the main out-of-step modes,and may fail to combine the generators with the minor out-of-step modes into proper coherent generator groups. Thus,it is necessary in engineering applications to equip the generators that are likely to have the characteristics of the minor out-of-step modes with separation devices based on off-line simulation studies in order to reduce the risk of further accidents caused by these generators after system separation.

Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction of Fucoxanthin from Marine Macroalga Padina australis:Optimization,Bioactivity,and Structural Characterization

Macroalgae serve as a potential feedstock for fucoxanthin ***,a bioactive pigment found in the chloroplasts of marine algae,exhibits significant pharmacological *** a member of the carotenoid family,fucoxanthin plays a crucial role in both the food and pharmaceutical *** research explores the effects of ultrasonics on the extraction of fucoxanthin from the marine macroalga Padina *** addition,various extraction techniques and the influence of solvents on the efficient separation of fucoxanthin from algae have been studied and *** methanol,chloroform,and a combination of methanol and chloroform(1:1,v/v),conventional fucoxanthin extraction from Padina australis yielded 8.12 mg of fucoxanthin per gram of ***,the ultrasonic-assisted extraction resulted in a significantly higher yield of 16.9 mg of fucoxanthin per gram of biomass,demonstrating that the use of ultrasonics enhances the extraction rate compared to conventional ***,the efficient separation of fucoxanthin from Padina australis is highly dependent on ultrasonic-assisted *** process conditions for the extraction were optimized to maximize the yield of fucoxanthin from *** following parameters were selected for optimization studies:moisture content,particle size,mixing speed,extraction temperature,extraction duration,and solid-to-solvent *** extracted fucoxanthin exhibited various biological activities,including antimicrobial and antioxidant properties,and its structure was elucidated through FTIR and NMR ***,thin-layer chromatography of the crude algae extracts confirmed the presence of fucoxanthin in the marine *** these findings,the optimized extraction process holds the potential for scaling up to large-scale fucoxanthin ***,as a potent pharmacological agent,offers promising applications in the treatment of various ailments.

Effective treatment of cancer requires understanding the nature of the disease and accurately addressing the main root *** risk factors for cancer include poor nutrition,an acidogenic diet,an unhealthy lifestyle,and exposure to carcinogens such as toxins,chemicals,and *** risk of developing cancers may be reduced by sufficient oxygenation and maintaining optimal alkalinity and nutritional balance at the cell *** review paper summarizes some diet and lifestyle modifications that may potentially be considered for preventing and controlling some ***,worldwide statistical data for cancer incidence rates published by International Agency for research on Cancer are analyzed for certain cancers regionally,concerning the effect of dietary habits and environmental factors that meaningfully correlate with the global trends of *** study of cancer root causes integrated with analyzing the statistics related to cancer incidence rates suggests that the risk of developing cancer may be reduced by modifying dietary habits and lifestyle factors,as well as reducing exposure to *** with healthy balanced dietary habits may have a lower cancer risk than those who frequently have unhealthy diets;hence,considering a balanced natural diet and healthy lifestyle may be suggested as a complementary or alternative solution in cancer treatments.
