Hot working process optimization of Fe-20Mn-19Cr-0.5C-0.6N steel by activation energy, power dissipation and microstructural evolution

Hot deformation behavior of an Fe-20Mn-19Cr-0.5C-0.6N high-nitrogen austenitic steel has been studied by isothermal compression tests in deformation temperature range of 800-1200℃ and strain rate range of 0.01-10 s^-1. Results indicate that the Fe-20Mn-19Cr-0.5C-0.6N steel has high deformation resistance due to strong hindering effect on dislocation moving by nitrogen-induced lattice misfit. The twinning-induced plasticity effect is gradually suppressed with the increase in deformation temperature, and high-temperature plastic deformation mechanism by twinning is gradually replaced by dislocation planar slip. The deformation resistance is up to 343 MPa at deformation conditions of (1000 ℃, 0.01 s^-1), which is over 100 MPa higher than that in martensitic steel and 50 MPa higher than that in austenitic steel. Besides, value of deformation activation energy for the Fe-20Mn-19Cr-0.6N steel is up to 784 kJ mol^-1. Power dissipation efficiency is lower than 0.13, while hot processing map exhibits a very wide range of working area. The optimum hot working process obtains at deformation temperature range of 950-1200℃ and strain rate range of 0.01-10 s^-1, when deformation acti-vation energy is less than 662.6 kJ mol^-1, power dissipation efficiency exceeds 0.22, dynamic recrystallization fraction is over 46.1% and microstructures are without instable characteristics.

Influence of sand content on the flow characteristics of soft soil under cyclic and high-frequency vibration

The flow characteristics of foundation soils subjected to train loads can present engineering hazards in highspeed *** order to verify the feasibility of blending coarse sand in modifying soft subsoil,undrained pulling sphere tests were carried out and the train loads were simulated through localized and cyclic vibration at various *** testing results indicate that the fl ow characteristics of soft soil can be signifi cantly enhanced by high-frequency vibration;meanwhile the continuous increase in fl ow characteristics caused by cyclic vibration may be an important reason for the long-term settlement of soft *** infl uence of sand content on fl ow characteristics is also studied in detail,and it is shown that the addition of coarse sand can weaken the fl ow characteristics of soft soil induced by sudden vibration at lower than 50 *** the condition of cyclic vibration,the growth of the fl ow characteristics of sand-clay mixtures is mainly caused by the fi rst-time vibration in the cycle,and the increase in sand content can make the fl ow characteristics present a faster convergent tendency.

Behavior of sulfate in preparation of single light rare earth carbonate by Mg(HCO_(3))_(2) precipitation method

The precipitation of the water-leaching solution of Baotou mixed rare earth(RE) concentrate roasted with sulfuric acid using ammonium bicarbonate for producing RE carbonate produces a mass of ammonia-nitrogen wastewater because of the relatively low solubility of rare earth *** solve the serious problem of ammonia-nitrogen pollution,new precipitators need to be developed urgently so as to meet the requirements of environmental protection and impurities content of the product(SO_(4)^(2-)<1.8 wt% in RE carbonates products).In this paper,we studied the effects of feeding modes on the behavior of SO_(4)^(2-) during the preparation of light RE carbonate(RE=La,Ce,Pr,Nd) from their sulfate solutions using Mg(HCO_(3))_(2) as a *** results indicate that the contents of SO_(4)^(2-) in the La and Ce precipitates using positive feeding mode exceed 16 wt% because of the formation of La_(2)(CO_(3))2.15(-SO_(4))0.85·4 H_(2)O and Ce_(2)(CO_(3))_(2).15(SO_(4))0.85·3H_(2)O,while those of the Pr and Nd precipitates are 4 wt%-5 wt% since they exist in the form of *** precipitates prepared using synchronous feeding mode are all RE carbonate with only 4 wt%-5 wt% of SO_(4)^(2-) enclosed in the *** content of SO_(4)^(2-) in the RE carbonate obtained using reverse feeding mode is the *** them,the content of SO_(4)^(2-) in La precipitate is only 1.40 wt%.Both synchronous and reverse feeding modes can effectively reduce the content of SO_(4)^(2-)in RE carbonate,which provides theoretical guidance for the preparation of qualified light RE carbonate products by Mg(HCO3)2 precipitation method.

Decoherence of fiber light sources using a single-trench fiber

Decoherence of fiber laser sources is of great importance in imaging applications,and most current studies use ordinary multi-mode fibers(MMFs).Here,a newly designed single-trench fiber(STF)is investigated to reduce the spatial coherence of fiber light source and compared with *** bending two fibers with different turns,speckle contrast of a 0.8-m-long STF can be reduced from 0.13 to 0.08,while a 0.8-m-long MMF shows an inverse *** speckle contrast and decoupling-mode analysis,the reason of this inverse trend is ***,the STF supports more modes than the MMF due to its larger core ***,mode leak from the first core of the STF can couple to the second core when bending the ***,power distribution among high and low-order modes become more even,reducing the spatial coherence ***,in the MMF,high-order modes become leaky modes and decrease slightly when bending the *** work provides a new method to modulate coherence of light source and a new angle to study decoherence principle using special fibers.

Effect of Heat Treatment on Corrosion Behaviour of Amorphous Metal Fibers

Amorphous metal fiber has high corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties, making it a kind of good material for reinforcing concrete matrix. The effect of heat treatment on the corrosion behaviour of Fe73- Cr6C9Si1P11 amorphous metal fibers in 0.5 mol/L He SO4 solution was investigated by electrochemical polarization analysis. Differential scanning calorimetry （DSC） was used to measure the thermal properties. The evolution of the crystallization process after heat treatment was identified by X-ray diffraction （XRD）. The results show that the α- Fe, Fe2 P and Fea P crystalline phases individually precipitate in the amorphous matrix with increasing annealing temperature. The as prepared amorphous sample shows high corrosion resistance with a lower passivation current density and a wider passive region. The corrosion resistance dramatically decreases after the annealing temperature is higher than 400 ℃.

Failure analysis of a field brittle fracture composite insulator:characterisation by Xray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis

In the present work,a field brittle fracture composite insulator was collected and examined with the purpose of obtaining a better understanding of the failure ***,the macroscopic and microscopic fractography of this fractured composite insulator was observed confirming that the classical brittle fracture morphology features appeared in this field failed composite ***,the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis was performed on the fracture surface of the glass-fibre-reinforced polymer *** examining the XPS survey spectra and high-resolution XPS spectra for nitrogen,sulphur,silicon,calcium,aluminium,boron and carbon elements,the type of the glass fibre and the acid source responsible for this brittle fracture composite insulator were ***,the oxidation of the silicate network of glass fibre at the fracture surface was first observed,meanwhile,the oxidation of the epoxy resin matrix was also *** leaching of non-silicate constituents leading to a high-silica glass fibre was also observed;moreover,in comparison with the calcium and aluminium elements,the boron element resides in the silicate network was more preferential to be *** present work provides an insight into the brittle fracture in high voltage composite insulator from chemical properties point of view.

Study on liquids diffusion into and relevant corrosion behaviour of glass fibre reinforced polymer used in high voltage composite insulator

Long-term liquids diffusion tests were performed on glass fibre reinforced polymer(GFRP)used in high voltage composite *** plate-shaped GFRP specimens were immersed in three types of liquids,which high voltage composite insulator would encounter in practice,including deionised water,NaCl solution and nitric acid solution for a period of 4000 *** reaction and physical dissolution complicated the diffusion processes,which could be divided into three types based on the features of diffusion *** transform infrared spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy and optical interferometry were employed to investigate the chemical property,two-dimensional(2D)and 3D surface morphologies of *** results revealed that the surface layer of GFRP was destroyed to some extent depending on the type and concentration of the liquid,the maximum of profile height deviation of GFRP surface was proposed to evaluate the extent of the corrosion of GFRP,the greater the profile height deviation,the more serious the corrosion of *** present work is helpful for a better understanding of the diffusion behaviour of liquids into GFRP used in high voltage composite insulator as well as in other industry applications.

Construction of catalysts with integral structure for oxidative reaction process is an essential promotion to catalysts in industrial *** this work,a 3D printing method was employed to prepare 3D printed spheres(3D-PSs),followed by carbonization to form 3D carbon spheres(3D-CSs).Then,a 3D-CSs supported phosphotungstic acid(HPW/3D-CSs)was prepared for deep oxidative *** with traditional powder catalysts,the as-prepared catalyst is easy to be operated and separated from oil *** supported catalyst possesses excellent catalytic performance and the removal of DBT,4-MDBT and 4,6-DMDBT in fuel oil,reaching^100%of sulfur *** effects of various experimental parameters on desulfurization efficiency were considered to optimize reaction ***,the catalyst shows excellent thermal and chemical stability,with no obvious decrease in desulfurization activity after 5 ***–MS analysis indicates DBT sulfone was the solely oxidized product of DBT.

A Triple Crosslinking Design toward Epoxy Vitrimers and Carbon Fiber Composites of High Performance and Multi-shape Memory

It remains a challenge to use a simple approach to fabricate a multi-shape memory material with high mechanical ***,we report a triple crosslinking design to construct a multi-shape memory epoxy vitrimer(MSMEV),which exhibits high mechanical properties,multi-shape memory property and *** triple crosslinking network is formed by reacting diglycidyl ether of bisphenol F(DGEBF)with 4-aminophenyl disulfide,γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(APTS)and poly(propylene glycol)bis(2-aminopropyl ether)(D2000).The triple crosslinking manifests triple functions:the disulfide bonds and the silyl ether linkages enable malleability of the epoxy network;the silyl ether linkages impart the network with high heterogeneity and broaden the glass transition region,leading to multi-shape memory property;a small amount of D2000 increases the modulus difference between the glassy and rubbery states,thereby improving the shape fixity ***,the high crosslinking density and rigid structure provide the MSMEV with high tensile strength and Young’s ***,integrating carbon fibers and MSMEV results in shape memory *** superior mechanical properties of the composites and the recyclability of carbon fiber derived from the dissolvability of MSMEV make the composites hold great promise as structural materials in varied applications.
