Blood pressure(BP)has been identified as one of the main factors in cardiovascular disease and other related *** how to accurately and conveniently measure BP is important to monitor BP and to prevent *** paper proposes an efficient BP measurement model by integrating a fluid-structure interaction model with the photoplethysmogram(PPG)signal and developing a data-driven computational approach to fit two optimization parameters in the proposedmodel for each *** developed BPmodel has been validated on a public BP dataset and has shown that the average prediction errors among the root mean square error(RMSE),the mean absolute error(MAE),the systolic blood pressure(SBP)error,and the diastolic blood pressure(DBP)error are all below 5mmHg for normal BP,stage I,and stage II hypertension groups,and,prediction accuracies of the SBP and the DBP are around 96%among those three groups.

Synthesis and Characterization of Sulfonated Polyphosphazene-graft-Polystyrene Copolymers for Proton Exchange Membranes

A novel series of polyphosphazene-grafl-polystyrene （PP-g-PS） copolymers were successfully prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization （ATRP） of styrene monomers and brominated poly（bis（4-methylphenoxy）phosphazene） macroinitiator. The graft density and the graft length could be regulated by changing the bromination degree of the macroinitiator and the ATRP reaction time, respectively. The PP-g-PS copolymers readily underwent a regioselective sulfonation reaction, which occurred preferentially at the polystyrene sites, producing the sulfonated PP-g-PS copolymers with a range of ion exchange capacities. The resulting sulfonated PP-g-PS membranes prepared by solution casting showed high water uptake, low water swelling and considerable proton conductivity. They also exhibited good oxidative stability and high resistance to methanol crossover. Morphological studies of the membranes by transmission electron microscopy showed clear nanophase-separated structures resulted from hydrophobic polyphosphazene backbone and hydrophilic polystyrene sulfonic acid segments, indicating the formation of proton transferring tunnels. Therefore, these sulfonated copolymers may be candidate materials for proton exchange membranes in direct methanol fuel cell （DMFC） applications.

In the light of multi-continued fraction theories, we make a classification and counting for multi-strict continued fractions, which are corresponding to multi-sequences of multiplicity m and length n. Based on the above counting, we develop an iterative formula for computing fast the linear complexity distribution of multi-sequences. As an application, we obtain the linear complexity distributions and expectations of multi-sequences of any given length n and multiplicity m less than 12 by a personal computer. But only results of m=3 and 4 are given in this paper.

Background: Despite the recent development of new therapies, multiple myeloma(MM) remains an incurable disease. Thus, new, efective treatments are urgently needed, particularly for relapsed or refractory MM(RRMM). In an earlier phase I study, a novel form of recombinant human Apo2L/tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand(TRAIL) that is currently in clinical development for the treatment of hematologic malignancies, i.e., circularly permuted TRAIL(CPT), was well tolerated at a dose of 2.5 mg/kg per day and showed promising preliminary activity in patients with RRMM. This phase II, open-label, multicenter study further investigated the eicacy and safety of 2.5-mg/kg per day CPT as single-agent therapy for patients with ***: Patients with RRMM were treated once daily with CPT(2.5 mg/kg, intravenously) for 14 consecutive days for each 21-day cycle. Clinical response and toxicity were assessed after each treatment ***: Twenty-seven patients received CPT. Using the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation criteria, we calculated the overall response rate of 33.3% with 1 near-complete response(n CR) and 8 partial responses(PRs). The clinical beneit rate(48.1%) included 1 nCR, 8 PRs, and 4 minimal responses. The most common treatmentrelated adverse events(TRAEs) were fever, aspartate aminotransferase elevation, alanine aminotransferase elevation, leucopenia, rash, neutropenia, and thrombocytopenia. We graded toxicity using the Common Toxicity Criteria for Adverse Events, version 3.0, and determined that 37.0% of patients had at least 1 grade 3–4 ***: CPT as a single agent can elicit a response in patients with RRMM and is well tolerated. Further clinical investigation is warranted.

Following the 2008 Wenchuan M8 earthquake,the seismic risk of the northeastern section of the Longmenshan fault zone and the adjacent Hanzhong basin has become an issue that receives much *** is facing,however,the problem of a lack of sufficient data because of little previous work in these *** northeastern section of the Longmenshan fault zone includes three major faults：the Qingchuan fault,Chaba-Lin＇ansi fault,and Liangshan south margin fault,with the Hanzhong basin at the northern *** paper presents investigations of the geometry,motion nature,and activity ages of these three faults,and reveals that they are strike slip with normal faulting,with latest activity in the Late *** implies that this section of the Longmenshan fault zone has been in an extensional setting,probably associated with the influence of the Hanzhong *** analysis of the tectonic relationship between the Longmenshan fault zone and the Hanzhong basin,this work verifies that the Qingchuan fault played an important role in the evolution of the Hanzhong basin,and further studies the evolution model of this ***,with consideration of the tectonic setting of the Longmenshan fault zone and the Hanzhong basin as well as seismicity of surrounding areas,this work suggests that this region has no tectonic conditions for great earthquakes and only potential strong events in the future.

Fe-Co-B-Si-Nb-C glassy alloy with the addition of C was prepared by arc melting and copper suck-casting. The thermodynamics and soft magnetic properties were investigated. The casted amorphous alloys were heat-treated at different temperatures. The differential scanning calorimeter （DSC） results and thermal expansion show complete thermodynamics of crystallization. Its magnetostriction properties were studied by capacitance method. Saturation magnetostriction increases to 38×10^-6. The amorphous alloy exhibits good soft magnetic properties with low coercivity and high saturation magnetic induction. The results show that minor addition of C is beneficial to enhance the saturation magnetostriction λs, and do not deteriorate the ability of forming amorphous.

An annealed 50 Cr V4 steel was subjected to cyclic heat treatment process that consists of repeated short-duration(200 s)held at 840 °C(above Ac3 temperature of 790 °C) and short-duration(100 s) held at 700 °C(below Ac1 temperature of 710 °C). The spheroidization ratio of cementite and the average size of particles increase with increasing the cyclic number of heat treatment. After5-cycle heat treatment, the spheroidization ratio of cementite is 100%, and the average size of the cementite particles is about0.53 μm. After cyclic heat treatment, the hardness, ultimate tensile strength and yield strength of the experimental steel gradually decrease with increasing cyclic number of heat treatment. The elongation of the as-received specimens is about 7.4%, the elongation of the 1-cycle specimen is 14.3%, and the elongation of 5-cycle specimen reaches a peak value of 22.5%, thereafter marginally decreases to 18.3% after 6-cycle heat treatment. Accordingly, the fractured surface initially exhibits the regions of wavy lamellar fracture. By increasing the cyclic number of heat treatment cycles, the regions of dimples consume the entire fractured surface gradually. Some large dimples can be found in the fracture surface of the specimen subjected to six heat treatment cycles.

Dipping Paint Curing Amorphous U-Core Used as Reactor

Non-oriented silicon steel （35W310） and amorphous ribbon （FeT8 Si9B13 amorphous alloy） reactor U-cores are made by welding and dipping paint curing, respectively. Amorphous U-core used to make reactor cut sharply ed-dy current loss due to high electrical resistivity characteristic, thickness of thin ribbon and insulation of dipping paint. The amorphous alloy has high and constant magnetic permeability, and is more suitable for reactor design power to filter high order harmonic component. Keeping off high magnetostriction district with magnetic flux density of 50-100 mT can weaken influence on inductance of inductor due to elongation of magnetostriction. Amorphous al-loy has a lower temperature rise using the software Infolytica 7.2 simulation.
