The phosphorus slag（PS） can be used as a supplementary cementitious material due to its potential hydrating activity. However, its usage has been limited by its adverse effects, including prolonged setting and lowered early-stage strength. In this study, we achieved ultrafine granulation of PS using wetmilling（reducing d50 to as low as 2.02 μm） in order to increase its activity, and examined the physico-chemical properties of the resulting materials, including particle-size distribution, slurry pH, zeta potential, and activity index, as well as how their replacement level and granularity affect the setting time and mechanical performance of PS-cement mixture systems. The results suggested that as the granularity increases, there are significant boosts in the uniformity of particle sizes, slurry pH, and activity index, and the effects on cement paste, including setting times, and early-and late-stage strengths, are significantly mitigated. When d（50）=2.02 μm, the slurry becomes strongly alkaline（pH=12.16） compared to the initial d（50）=20.75 μm（pH=9.49）, and the activity is increased by 73%; when used at 40% replacement, the PS-cement mixture system can reach a 28 d compressive strength of 93.2 MPa, 36% higher than that of the pure cement control group.

Lifestyle is closely linked to the free time phenomenon. The particular lifestyle of an individual shows through the medium of free time. The factor belonging here are: economical status, cultural dimension of a personality, social environment, family status, the place of residency, etc. Lifestyle is thus determined by the historical character of a given society, changes in production processes, the individual status of a person, a social group or a class in a given society and by the standard of living. Even though it is sometimes difficult to choose all the attributes characterizing our today’s way of life, we’ll try to pick out the most important ones corresponding with the topic of this article.

Purpose: This study aims to compare the load and the length of previously ruptured and healthy Achilles tendon(AT) of a recreational runner who used different footfall patterns on each limb during ***: A 41-year-old recreational athlete with a ruptured AT participated in this report. Two force plates and a high-speed motion capture system were used to collect ground reaction force and kinematic data in shod and barefoot running conditions. AT length was measured using ultrasonography and an infrared camera system. AT force was estimated as the active plantar flexion moment divided by AT moment arm during stance ***: The participant used a rearfoot pattern on the affected limb and a forefoot/midfoot pattern on the unaffected limb during shod running,and a forefoot/midfoot pattern during barefoot running. There was no difference between the length of the affected and the unaffected AT. During shod running, the maximal AT force and loading rate were lower in the affected AT versus the unaffected AT. During barefoot running, the affected maximal AT force and loading rate were greater than the unaffected ***: Footfall patterns can be an adaptation to reduce the loading on a previously injured AT. It appears that runners may consider using a rearfoot footfall pattern during running to reduce the stress on the AT.

The publication is engaged in the issue of individual sorbents efficiency during the sorption of heavy metals contained in the burnt gases from the brown coal. Used sorbents for experiments are active coal and semi coke created by pyrolysis process. The process of heavy metals sorption was tested at the vertical laboratory equipment that consists of the two fluid layers that are arranged serially. Within the actual issue in the area of emission limits, the research has been focused on arsenic and mercury sorption. The obtained samples were analysed at the laboratory and consequently, their efficiency was evaluated. The aim of the article is to find out a suitable methodologies and respective alternative materials to be used within the industrial production.

Basal cell carcinoma(BCC)is by far the most common human skin *** Caucasians,BCCs account for around 90%of periocular ***,periocular BCCs are usually neglected due to their slow and painless growth,unless presenting complaints,e.g.,large size,bleeding,recurrent infections of the tumor,or secondary symptoms resulting from adjacent structures involvement as epiphora,limited eye globe motility as well as globe ***,although the tumor can usually be cured with local excision,local recurrence can occur in up to 20%of eyelid BCC *** BCCs of the eyelid show a poorer overall prognosis than the primary *** addition,the management of advanced diseases,such as orbital or intracranial invasion as well as metastatic lesions,is challenging and often involves a multidisciplinary *** this paper,we reviewed the recent research progress of pathogenesis,clinical presentation,and therapeutics of periocular *** introduced the molecular pathogenesis of BCCs[multi-step ultraviolet(UV)-induced carcinogenesis model,genetic predisposition,and epigenetic changes],clinical classification,and tumor-node-metastasis(TNM)clinically stage of eyelid skin *** also emphasized the treatment of BCCs,i.e.,surgical resection,oculoplastic reconstruction,and alternative therapies(radiation therapy,systemic therapy,topical therapy,and prophylactic therapy).In the end,we proposed that considering the possible iatrogenic damage to the surface of the eye by surgical excision,the treatment of periocular BCCs is recommended to be performed by or in the presence of an oculoplastic surgeon.

Hybrid Optimization Algorithm for Handwritten Document Enhancement

＜正＞A number of rotors in stationary industrial devices （ e.g. steam or gas turbines, rolls of rolling mill stands, etc. ） are coupled with the flexible stationary part through fluid film bearings. Because it is often required to know their response on seismic excitation combined with unbalance loading, it is necessary to deal with possibilities how the treat this problem by means of a computer modelling method. Both the theory and observations show that if holes in the bearing shells are circular then the rotor systems are prone to exhibit subharmonic or self excited vibration. Increase of the critical rotational speed can be achieved if non-circular bearings are applied. In computational models the hydrodynamical bearings are usually accommodated by means of non linear force couplings. To determine components of the hydraulical force it is necessary to know a pressure function which requires to solve a Reynolds’ equation. For this purpose a new approach based on utilization of a trigonometric collocation method has been developed. The pressure function is approximated by a finite number of terms of a Fourier seris and calculation of the Fourier coefficients results into solving a set of linear algebraic equations. In cavitated areas it is assumed that pressure of the medium remains constant. The considered model rotor systems are able to cover all significant properties of the real ones. Even if the equation of motion is nonlinear （due to the bearing forces）, for its solution a Newmark method has been adopted but its basic algorithm had to be modified. The seismic excitation is taken into account by imposing the boundary conditions - time histories of displacements, velocities and accelerations of the ground in the vertical and horizontal directions.

The Gannet Optimization Algorithm (GOA) and the Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) demonstrate strong performance;however, there remains room for improvement in convergence and practical applications. This study introduces a hybrid optimization algorithm, named the adaptive inertia weight whale optimization algorithm and gannet optimization algorithm (AIWGOA), which addresses challenges in enhancing handwritten documents. The hybrid strategy integrates the strengths of both algorithms, significantly enhancing their capabilities, whereas the adaptive parameter strategy mitigates the need for manual parameter setting. By amalgamating the hybrid strategy and parameter-adaptive approach, the Gannet Optimization Algorithm was refined to yield the AIWGOA. Through a performance analysis of the CEC2013 benchmark, the AIWGOA demonstrates notable advantages across various metrics. Subsequently, an evaluation index was employed to assess the enhanced handwritten documents and images, affirming the superior practical application of the AIWGOA compared with other algorithms.

AIM:To evaluate single balloon enteroscopy in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic retrograde cholangiography(ERC)in patients with Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunoanastomosis(HJA).METHODS:The study took place from January 2009to December 2011 and we retrospectively assessed 15patients with Roux-en-Y HJA who had signs of biliary *** total,23 ERC procedures were performed in these patients and a single balloon videoen-teroscope(Olympus SIF Q 180)was used in all of the cases.A transparent overtube was drawn over the videoenteroscope and it freely moved on the working part of the *** distal end was equipped with a silicone balloon that was inflated by air from an external pump at a pressure of≤5.4 *** technical limitations or rather the parameters of the single balloon enteroscope(working length-200 cm,diameter of the working channel-2.8 mm,absence of Albarran bridge)showed the need for special endoscopic ***:Cannulation success was reached in diagnostic ERC in 12 of 15 *** findings were normal in 1 of 12 *** in the remaining 11 patients showed some pathological *** of these(cystic bile duct dilation)was subsequently resolved *** treatment was initialized in the remaining 10 patients(5 with HJA stenosis,2 with choledocholithiasis,and 3 with both).This treatment was successful in 9 of 10 *** endoscopic therapeutic procedures included:balloon dilatation of HJA stenosis-11 times(7 patients);choledocholitiasis extraction-five times(5 patients);biliary plastic stent placement-six times(4 patients);and removal of biliary stents placed by us-six times(4 patients).The mean time of performing a single ERC was 72 *** longest procedure took 110 min and the shortest took34 *** shows that it is necessary to allow for more time in individual ***,these procedures require the presence of an *** did not observe any complications in these 15 ***
